I love to know what people buy and eat as well! My children are not picky at all!! I packed for my daughter last week, rotisserie chicken, veggies and hummus, fruit salad, sandwich on a flat bread, pita chips and hummus, fruit snack(I know unhealthy), chicken salad with crackers, cottage cheese, fruit salad, thin bagel with cream cheese, hard boiled egg, fruit and veggies. Simple lunches!
My kids love salads so their lunches always include a salad made with greens, purple cabbage, a colourful pepper, cheese, croutons, black beans, black olives and a protein (usually chicken, steak or pulled pork). I will also add sunflower seeds or hemp hearts and cruising if I have them on hand. In winter I will switch it out with a thermos with soup or chili and a small garden salad. For snacks they like cheese and pepperoni or pumpkin seeds and almonds. I always pack them a Greek yogurt and some berries and granola. They also like any kind of raw vegetable.
When my son was in school, from kinder to 5th grade, he only ate sliced cheeses, mayo and bread. Never once did he buy the cafeteria lunch or change his main course of cheese sandwich. Love watching grocery hauls, thanks.
Hi Katie! I generally pack the same lunch for my daughter as she is a very picky eater. She usually has pepperoni, string cheese, strawberries, grapes, and yogurt. Every.Single. Day for lunch. When I try to add different things, she won't eat it- most of the time. I added watermelon in her lunch today and she didn't eat it, however, I added pretzels- and she ate it! I love watching haul videos because I like to see what people buy. Take care!
Yay! Back to school shopping is one of my faves!!! And I love shopping at Sam's, even though I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT as a kid! Oh the things that make is happy as an adult!
I love these hauls!! My little girl has several food allergies, so we have to be creative! She usually does a SunButter and jelly sandwich, lunch meat roll-ups, or make shift homemade lunchables. We also send her with a fruit, granola bar, apple sauce, and chips.
Our school is pre-k through 12 and the entire elementary side has a HUGE peanut allergy and even for snacks we have to look at the labels to see if it is processed in or near anything to do with peanuts. So our go to for home lunch is a lunchable, frozen go gurt (thaws by lunch), and 1 other side depending on what all is in the lunchable (sometimes the lunchable has 2 cookies) so fruit cup or snack cracker pouch. Sometimes a Capri sun or sunny D to drink, most of the time milk at school.
You’re stocked up! We’ve been doing rolled up turkey slices, turkey pepperoni, a veggie like carrots, bell peppers, or cherry tomatoes. Also a fruit or two, possibly string cheese, and then either a yogurt, applesauce, or pretzels. He loves the snack style lunches so I haven’t done sandwiches yet!
Rolls of Sweet Lebanon lunch meat, slices of white American cheese, chips, fresh fruit, cucumber slices and a small treat like cookies or mini kit-Kat. Plus a juice box.
Ooooohhhh! Soooo glad to see Sam's has that particular brand of "Calm" magnesium supplement! It's one of my absolute favorites as well - soooo good for you!! Thanks so much for sharing - can't wait to check out our Sam's Club later this week 👍💛
I cook chicken tenderloin in the instant pot with Olive Garden Dressing and put them in a salad with strawberries, pineapples and Olive Garden Dressing. It is so delicious.
My daughter usually takes leftovers from dinner the night before and then several different snack items, applesauce, fresh fruit, guacamole and chips, fruit leathers, popcorn.
Hi from NZ. I have 3 children & they take the same basic combination to school every day. For us its: ham sandwich or pita bread, small packet of potato chips or some other type of snack pack, 2 biscuits, one piece of fruit (usually apple). I would like to do healthier lunches - salad, sushi, etc but up til now my kids would not eat it. However my daughter is getting older so she may be more willing now to eat healthier options. I really admire the parents who have their children eating healthier food. However we were a bit stuck with one child with multiple food allergies, & one on autism spectrum - both conditions limiting what they could & would eat.
Great Haul! I know you mentioned you like seeing what others pack their kids for lunches. I do too and that's what got me started on TH-cam :) Our first lunch video of the new school year will be up tomorrow :)
Oh I love those enchiladas. I've never seen the cheese burger version of the chicken flat bread. Those look good. We get the chicken. My 5 yr old loves mayo and cheese sandwiches.
Grocery hauls are my favorite. Not sure why; guess I'm just nosy. Love cooking videos, too. Cheese and mayo sandwich? Now that's a new feather in my bonnet. 😳 My favorite sandwich is fresh slices of tomato and Miracle Whip. I'll share, Katie. I know how much you and Cullen LOVE tomatoes! 😘🤣
YAAAAY!!! You’re back! I’ve missed you!! ♥️ I hope you had a great summer!! Awesome vlog!! I love hauls! Happy back to school to Gaines and Brooks!! #yournumberonefan
I was JUST thinking about the CALM drink and wondering if it would help me relax a bit as a stay at home mom of 2 kids. I just stress a lot now a days, you know how it is! Now I see it in your video. This is a sign. I'm going to get some. LOVE me some Costco! My pantry is PACKED with SNACKS! I just feel all set when I go a big Costco trip too. I LOVE when yall share what you buy. A few years ago, I saw one of yalls hauls on your vlog channel and ended up getting my daughter the mini quiches. She loved them for a long while. It was a great lunch. Buying in bulk is tricky to see if something is good so its good to see what others buy to know what to get. ALSO ideas for school lunch! I packed pretty much the same lunch for my daughter. PB and honey sandwich, veggie straw or some other cracker/chip, fruit and a snack.
Love your grocery haul! We homeschool, but we have lunch meat sandwiches, carrots, and a fruit. Or I will do a lunchable style meal, also with fruit. Or Chick-fil-a! LOL!
Just and FYI, the Calm drink mix looks like it was on clearance according to the price. Sam’s clearance prices usually end in 81 or 91, so you might want to stock up on them depending on expiration dates. Also, those cheeseburger flatbreads are awesome! I love to eat them with my ranch hummus from Aldi’s. 💚💙
My grandson will eat anything so he just eat the school lunches, sometimes my grand daughter want eat at all and we’ve had to make her at least do a protein shake so that she will at least have some thing in her belly.. If my daughter didn’t check and to make sure she has eaten she would do without..At least yours will eat even if it’s the same every day... Gaines sure looks excited for School... Hope Gaines&Brooke’s has Awesome year🍎
My 5 yr old hates Peanut Butter and all cheeses except for String Cheese, (who the heck knows why) so I am limited. He recently started Kindergarten so I have been making him buy his lunch to make him try a variety. He has eaten it every day but one so far. For snacks, pretty much every day, it's Cheese It's, Apple Sauce & a cheese stick. Mine don't drink juice either. Thank goodness he loves water.
Left over dinner most days, veggie/fruit, gogurts, capri sun, chips/gold fish, cheese stick, and a small candy. It changes every day, if I dont have left overs, I'll make a cheese quesadilla, or a lunchmeat sandwich for my daughter. My daughter has this boy in her class every year that's allergic to peanuts, so no pb anything. And my son doesnt like sandwiches at all (weirdo). So I do pepperoni for him for protein if I dont have any other meat in his box.
Grapes or other fruit, sandwich, snack(Scooby Doo graham crackers bones!) milk are the mainstays of my kids lunches. I try to keep it as healthy as possible.
You could make macaroni and cheese and put tuna fish and Rotel in it and it's a good dental put a sigh of green beans with it and your kids and family would love it and I'm new to your Channel
Cut up strawberries, string cheese, yogurt, goldfish or animal crackers, horizon milks (you can get at BJ's) and leftovers for lunch, if we don't have any, usually Tyson chicken nuggets, Kraft mac and cheese, etc. I'm in need of more ideas lol
This reminds me *almost* of a Duggar grocery haul from back in the day. Not the amount you bought, as much as I'm curious what the $$$ was! 😂😂 I live alone and only feed myself and my boyfriend when he comes over. I never buy in bulk.
Turkey sandwich with lettuce cheese and mayo on it, tuna sandwich, yogurt parfait with some cheese and nuts, mac and cheese, sometimes leftovers and gets hot lunch once a week because it’s usually unhealthy! She’s not going to pick the healthy hot lunch option. No peanut butter and jelly since her best friend is allergic to peanuts.
I know this is late but to everyone who wants to know how the enchiladas taste like they are so delicious and I am super picky about things all Of there meals are good
Katie does the Calm drink you bought help with any anxiety?! Im having a hard time managing mine after a death in the family. im willing to try anything besides prescription drugs.
Yes it will! I started using magnesium lotion after having awful postpartum anxiety, it was the best thing for me. Now I switched over to a pill form from plexus. Do it at night before bed because it will relax you & help you sleep.
I don't have kids to buy for but I am in the position to be making a healthy meal for my husband to take to his jobsite. I'm going to have to get him a Thermos to keep stuff hot because the doesn't have kettle or microwave available. I do veggies and ranch dip or cheese strings. I do give him potato or pasta salad as a side but it's no more than the finished amount of the Easy Mac packets soooo... Like 1/2 a cup maybe? Also, crackers and cheese.. sometimes I do aged cheddar and adult crackers or sometimes it's just the kiddy kind that Kraft calls Handi-snacks lol. Sugar free puddings or Hello can be a good option. He doesn't eat yogurt but berries, Greek yogurt & granola is a good option like a little parfait. Kellogg's makes a great one that's with cocoa and tastes chocolatey without so many carbs. Cheez Whiz is not a health food by any means but you could Google how to make homemade Uncrustables and then make a bunch in advance. Kimmy from She's In Her Apron makes and freezes tons of sandwiches in advance when she has the time to save for when she doesn't. Also, they could see Mummy & Daddy eating hard boiled eggs as a snack or on a salad and it might be incorporated into the meal plan. Finally, last night's leftovers make great lunches for school. Hope this helps! Heather xo
We as parents in Australia, Melbourne, well the primary school my girls attended, we were very much discouraged from putting any of all those packaged foods in there lunch boxes.none of the stuff you bought would have been allowed, The lunch box had to be "packet free" it cuts down on waste and also encourages a healthier lunch box, always had to be completley nut free for the entire school not just one class. Fresh fruit and sandwiches,no juice pops no lollies no bars.. Definitely no crisps.. It would have been taken off them had I packed those items .. And we always had fresh fruit Friday where we didn't need to send fresh fruit as once a week the school was donated fresh fruit for the entire school, around a 5/600 pupil school. It was tow the line with their lunch or have it taken off them, then they would charge you for having to replace that lunch for a lunch from the canteen that was more appropriate.. Pretty extreme but very much a needed thing here in Australia..way to many children here are considered "obese" just because we don't meet the Asian designend BMI scale. Everyone who I would consider to be with normal range is considered "obese" so they crack down on our kids.. Should be cracking down on the parents there the ones doing the shopping. Haven't seen a 5 year old ever go do his own supermarketing.. Anyway this how it's done here where I live.. 😁💞
Jennifer M I think she said it was basically just magnesium. My doctor suggested I take a magnesium supplement at bed time and it helps with anxiety. Actually does work with some vitamin d that I take in the morning! I second Katie’s decision lol
I love grocery hauls. I have no idea why. Lol

Good job feeding them healthier foods!
Katie... I just wanna tell you that you look amazing. You look so happy and healthy. Way to go!
I love doing a big food shop ,makes me feel organized lol 😀

Rolls of Sweet Lebanon lunch meat, slices of white American cheese, chips, fresh fruit, cucumber slices and a small treat like cookies or mini kit-Kat. Plus a juice box.
We do 5 items. Snack, main item, fruit/veggie, something salty and something sweet.
Give me that giant can of Natural Calmmmmm!!!! Can’t sleep without it!
We love those chicken melts! They’re a staple in our house for lunches as well.
Ooooohhhh! Soooo glad to see Sam's has that particular brand of "Calm" magnesium supplement! It's one of my absolute favorites as well - soooo good for you!! Thanks so much for sharing - can't wait to check out our Sam's Club later this week 👍💛
Love me some Sam's club! I love the Chicken Alfredo meal too. So nice to have in the fridge for an easy meal that my kid will actually eat!
Loved the haul! I always get overwhelmed when I go in Sam's

I use to love mayo and cheese sandwiches! Everyone thought it was so weird but I’m not a lunch meat sandwich person!

❤❤
Love Grocery Haul.. read title so fast thought it was grocery/back to school haul (clothing 😕 ) hopefully there will be one of those 🤪
I love hauls! ID love to see Gaines lunches, too!
Not sure what store you went to
My kid prefers school lunch from cafeteria so I just have to pack a snack for her. It's So much easier!
My daughter eats basically the same lunch every day for school. Ham sandwich, goldfish and grapes. She never even eats it all.
Do you have pcos
Calm? I wanna know more about this
Jennifer M I think she said it was basically just magnesium. My doctor suggested I take a magnesium supplement at bed time and it helps with anxiety. Actually does work with some vitamin d that I take in the morning! I second Katie’s decision lol
@@cierracamden7646 Good to know Ladies! Thanks so much!
