Awww Jia. Look at your little matching girls with their hair and uniforms! Love it. 💕 My kids school just changed their lunch policy this year, so the first graders and Kindergarten get free hot lunch every day. Win-win! 🙌 They still need to bring snack, and the upper grades don’t have that. My kids are quite picky unfortunately and don’t eat much of their school lunch. Though they would totally snarf those skittles! What’s with kids not wanting their food to touch? My kids are like that too! 💕xo
In elementary school my son would only eat pb&j or turkey and cheese sandwiches so we alternated days. On the side, only pretzels, wheat thins, or Cheez-its and for fruit only banana, grapes, or apple sauce or slices. He adamantly refused to eat hot lunch even if it was his favorite ravioli. It was a struggle! I couldn't afford Lunchables except as an occasional treat and he wouldn't eat a homemade copycat version. 🙄 I was so glad when we transitioned to school lunches in middle school! We qualified for free lunch at the time so that helped.
My youngest was always picky. No fresh cheeses sauces, dressings, dips or sandwiches. But liked salami and loved fruits and veggies. So her were generally healthy lunches. I wished I'd found out about those containers back then. Graduated 2 years ago. It goes sooo fast. Love your vids! Thanks!!
No picky eater in my home. Because nobody ever has a choice. It's either you eat what I provide or starve 🙂... I'm not in America so opening the fridge/pantry to grab what you'd like isn't an option. I teach them to be grateful we have food because not everyone gets some around us. Edit: I'd like to add that some kids are not really picky. They say no because they have a choice. They say no because their opinion was asked.
If a child has special needs, of course you're going to adapt your parenting. But most kids are perfectly normal and can live thru eating what's available and learning to love what you're offered. It serves them beyond food. They learn that food is a fuel and not simply a pleasure, they learn to value it because not everyone gets food, they learn to adapt and be flexible, they learn that you don't always get to choose in life...
Got the video to play 😫😍 love the ideas, my son don't eat pork or red meat but being a stay at home home I cook all his meals but I think packing his lunch like this will save me so much time
My son loves a play with your food option. Nacho lunch...whole grain tortilla chips with salsa, shredded cheese sometimes I get fancy and pack leftover taco meat, sour cream or guac. Also make your own pizza. Mini pita and pack the sauce, cheese and mini pepperoni separate. I also do leftover soups and chili in the thermos. We also have a policy if he didn't eat it at lunch that is his afternoon snack. Great video!
My kid isn’t a picky eater but he doesn’t like vegetables. I’m always trying new ways to get him to eat veggies. He won’t eat school lunches, lol he is always excited to see what I packed for lunch.
We love egg salad sandwiches. I also like to pack wraps; tortilla, peanut butter, drizzle of honey, sprinkle of chia seeds, half a banana. so good! Great video :)
Great job mom! My youngest is also a picky eater. Lunch was pretty much limited to peanut butter. 😮...in the last cpl years we've added a few more options. Having a 2-week menu rotation has been my greatest life saver. We update that each quarter as seasons and avaiable produce changes. We do the same with bfast. This year both girls (10 & 15) decided to create their own rotations and have taken over preparing their bfast and lunch during the week!!! A few of my easy faves....HOT in her thermos: chicken nuggets, chicken noodle soup, buttered pasta, cheese quesadilla and bfast for lunch (mini waffles or pancakes + bacon or smoked sausage w/ 1/2 boiled egg or chilled scrambled egg); ocassionally dinner leftovers make the cut... COLD: she will only eat PB sandwich (no jelly🤷🏾♀️) or chilled grill cheese - no other sandwiches! This year she added hummus with pita crackers and celery sticks and yogurt parfaits with fresh berries.
My kids are extremely picky eaters.. They pretty much like the same things. The kiddos really like pita bread pizza. They seem to really like colorful noodles😃 too. I think your girls did really good mom!! 👍🏼
My son isn't overly picky, but he always wants something hot. If he doesn't buy lunch at school, it's usually franks and beans, pasta, or leftovers -- all sent hot in a thermos. I add snacks like goldfish, fruit, fruit roll-ups, cookies, crackers...
I have Two kids that eat well, and One that has texture issues with most meats, and breads. It’s super hard finding lunches that he will try at Preschool. Your lunches are great, and full of good kid foods. 😊💕 I make diy pizza lunchables by adding a sandwich thin split in half, pizza sauce in a mini dollar store squeeze bottle, a bit of cheese in one spot, chopped up turkey pepperoni, and a veggie in a section. Add in a spoon so they can spread the sauce.
Yes my daughter is a picky eater. I go through the lunch menu for the month and mark out the days I for sure know she will not eat at school. But her school just added a big salad bar to her school, so she will probably start eating at school at lot more.
My 7 yr old is a picky eater. Last school year I tried to make lunches similar to the cafeteria at school, because she preferred to eat school lunch. So far this year she's had lunchable style combinations, sandwiches, pepperoni, and fruit.
My kids are picky eaters too! My daughter only wants Mac and cheese or pb & j, but she can’t have peanut butter at her school (too many kids with nut allergies). So it’s mostly Mac and cheese...I do make Dino nuggets for her too. I use the thermos to keep them warm. I don’t do the hot water though...but I will now. What a great idea!!!
Great video! We start school in 2 days. And have a very picky eater. Lunch prices at school are decent, but she does not want to eat at school, rather brings her lunch. So have to get creative. Great tips, I always forget what’s all out there for “snacks”/lunch food. Thanks
A few years ago she's in her apron showed how you could put chicken fingers in a thermos. My son was super picky and I would pack hot dogs in his thermos. My daughter liked it when I put sushi in her lunch. Pretty easy to make.
Have you tried sandwich wraps? My oldest daughter makes them almost every day. I get the tortilla packs from Costco each trip. Her favorite meats are salami and turkey with lettuce and cheese. She will roll them up, then slices them into pinwheels.
My 5yr old is not really picky. She really loves when I pack her homemade lunchables and grilled cheese sandwiches! She also loves fruits! Love your videos!😊
I too have a picky eater on my hands but occasionally he will surprise me and try something new. Those lil’ smokies look amazing!! I want to make them for myself 😆 So excited for the lunch videos ❤️
My son is in 9th grade, but still quite picky as an eater. He packs his own lunches now girl, but is pretty predictable. He eats either a PB&J with blackberry jam or a ham and cheese tortilla roll-up for sandwiches. For hot lunch, like you do for your girls, he has a nice thermos. Alex likes things like mac and cheese, small sized BBQ meatballs, steamed rice with a tiny bottle of soy (or Bragg liquid aminos), sometimes heated up little chicken drumettes with a container of dipping sauce. He's gotten better as he's grown, but is still rather fussy sometimes. He will eat fresh fruit and veggies, but is lazy about putting them in his lunch most of the time! It is a struggle girl!
I’d love to see what you feed the girls for breakfast before school. Those PB lunch boxes are cute but a pain because they are too square! I gave up using my daughter’s, and sometimes I use it for work, but it doesn’t always work for me either. An idea for a veg that my kids like are sugar snap peas, and red/yellow bell pepper slices.
I started watching you a few weeks ago for keto content. My daughter is starting homeschool kindergarten with my friend/neighbor tomorrow. Thanks for all these bento ideas! Thanks for the napkin info!! I was going to ask where you got them. ❤️
I really love this I wish I could see what my kids ate after school. When I get home they eat the leftovers as afternoon snacks so I really don’t know how good did they eat at school. Last year my daughter was throwing most of her lunch away and the teacher sent me a message but this year I hope she eats more. Thank you for all your vlogs they are so inspiring and teaches me something new every time.
It's fun to see what kids are eating in other countries. Kids over here usually only get things like pretzels, cookies and chips at parties or on weekends. Same with sweets, most kids only get them on Saturdays. Schools serve a (free) hot meal every day. Oh, and Mind over Munch here on youtube has some great videos with ideas for lunches. Including bento boxes for picky eaters.
You should try pretzels with peanut butter. They can dip the pretzels in the peanut butter. Pasta with broccoli or cauliflower. Or pasta. With cut up hot dog and sauce is another good meal.
Yes my 7 year old is very picky. She may love some thing one day and not the next. Right now watermelon, grape, oatmeat, mac n cheese are hits currently.
Thank you for the lunch ideas. My kids hate the school lunches. So I struggle each week trying to figure out lunch for 4 different appetites and taste buds.
I bake Bacon for my son pretty regularly for school lunches. 15 ish minutes at 450 degrees. Get them out of the grease fast and they are nice and crunchy. My son loves this.
My kiddo is on the Autism spectrum and is SO picky. He’ll take chips and guacamole, Mac and cheese, turkey pepperoni and crackers (he hates cheese), and PB&J.
My six year old is extremely picky and it’s so hard even when I take him to the grocery store and he picks what he want he does not eat it! Great video 👍🏾
My son literally eats the same thing everyday. Sandwich. Greek yogurt. Juice. And chips. Sometimes he’s has little smokies or pepperoni but that’s really it. I have a feeling he will never change his lunch ha ha
So I'm not a mom, I'm the kid but I just love your videos. I pack my own lunch and I've always been a hard judge on food. I don't like meat or sandwiches. What I've always liked in my lunch is to put some cereal (I use some bags made of silicone that I bought on amazon so you can reuse them) some berries and some turkey
I have a two year old but she does go to school and I do need to pack food for her. Her school does provide food but I send mostly snacks, she’s very picky too and one moment she will like something and the next she won’t. So you did give me some ideas on what to pack.
My two usually only want uncrustables or lunchables 🤦🏻♀️. They only get about 15 mins to eat lunch. I usually let them pick one day a week to eat lunch at school. I think our school lunches are 2.50 a piece. Thank you for another great video!
Hi Jia, My daughter was always a picky eater !!! I would pack her a ham & cheese sandwich on brown bread, cheese stick and apple the first few weeks of school. She always came back home with the apple. Eventually I got her the fruit pouches. She loved those. Making school lunches is trial and error for every parent during the elementary years. From time to time I would let her get what she called a "hot lunch snack" from school. They would also have pizza days and I would let her participate. I also would make her favorite home-made mac & cheese at least once a week.. By the time my daughter got into grade 6 she made her own lunch. I would check to make sure she wasn't packing crap. (junk food) I wanted to make her accountable. This year she will start grade 8 (we call it secondary 2). Guess who started to pack apples and bananas? Picky eaters eventually will get out of that phase in their own time...((( Hugs Jia)) from Montréal Canada 💕😊
My kiddo is a picky eater for sure I make lots of warm lunches Fideo(mexican soup) looks kinda like spaghetti o's but different, pizza when I go like once a week during lunch with him, fettuccine alfredo w/chicken I add in broccoli, mac n cheese (I add in broccoli or cauliflower),quesadillas, flautas (chicken/potato) with sour cream, tamales in the winter, posole, turkey and cheese sandwich I use cookie cutters for shapes, sausages rolls, white rice with hot dogs I cut shaped like octopus, potstickers, tyson chicken nuggets, grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup, Beans/Mexican rice w taco Or I make like a lunchable with cut deli ham and cheese Sloppy Joe sandwiche Spaghetti ofcourse I make him small portions those are his main meal and I add fruits he likes on the side and animals and sometimes. Fridays are the only day I pack him chips, cookies, or whatever sweets one juice and water always.
Love making my kids lunches. My daughters is more fun that my son's cause she will eat anything and he is PICKY! I make kabobs, wraps, sub sandwiches, cucumber salad, etc.
i have 3 boys who have autistic and 2 out of the 3 are very picky eaters especially my youngest xx thank you for shring your lunch ideas ill have to try them with my boys and let you know how they get on they dont start back to school until the 4th september as we live in the uk xxx
Since your girls like pepperoni you should try pepperoni and cheese pinwheels it's traditional to use a tortilla but I've seen people just flatten bread an substitute that for the tortilla.
My 14 year old eats Campbell’s soup, goldfish crackers, raspberries and sometimes a granola bar My 10 year old has pasta with marinara sauce in a thermos, a small soft baguette with butter, strawberries and a granola bar for snack. Other things they like are turkey roll ups, goldfish pretzels, fruit or spaghettios.
My eldest has aprexia so he is beyond picky and his I balance makes it harder for him to try things... but winners are hot dog, leftover pizza, pretzels, green apples or baked bacon...great job with the girls
My mom use to pack cheese cubes she cubed herself and ritz crackers. Celery with ranch and chocolate covered raisins. Some times pecans because we had 4 pecan trees and I would trade those for bag of chips from other kids because my Mom wouldnt send chips!! I usually paid for a chocolate milk because mean Tommy Childress drank out of my thermos and I wouldnt drink after him with cooties!
@@HomeschoolKnockouts He was the school bus bully. Tall, big and scary looking. Walking on the bus while moving! Came and sit behind me and I was digging through my lunch box for a snack on the way home and he took my thermos and chugged it! I think I started crying LOLOL. My best friend ending up marrying him and I still despised him for doing that! That many years later! LOL Loved my mamas sweet tea and so did Tommy!
My fav lunch is actually a smoothie but ill tell ya the recipe 4 frozen mangos throw them in the blender than blend till smooth Add milk if needed That put in thermos u can add Raspberries on top with cocolate bits
I’ve watched your lunch videos for a long time now and when I saw the first day lunch of what Zara ate and as you said “Zara got a 💯 “ I said “alright!” At the same time 😂 good job! I also pack every day and my daughters fave is pasta salad. Also hard boiled eggs.
My four year old daughter is in pre-K and she has become a picky eater recently. I'm at a loss regarding what to feed her sometimes. She likes hot dogs, French fries, spaghetti, and the skin of fried chicken but not the meat. She will eat vegetables sometimes. How do you handle mealtimes when kids are picky eaters? Thanks
Ugh lunches again I can't wait 😭 yes lunches are expensive I swear they double charge my kid. I print out a school menu so we know what days are pizza and cheese zombies
I love these videos becuz it helps give me ideas for my daughter. My son, however, is THE pickiest child ever and I struggle daily with what the heck to pack for him. :-(
My 11year old take cook food that I made the night before. He’s a picky eater so he doesn’t like certain snacks. He likes cheese with crackers, pepperoni, blue cheese etc I’m trying encourage him to try new things
I don't have kids, but I struggle to make my own lunches. Great ideas!
I need you to pack my lunch for work.😂
Wow, I live the effort you put into your girls lunches. In my days it was peanut butter and jam everyday and for a treat it would be cheese sandwich.
Are we sure that Ava isn't dumping her tray at the end of lunch? Her box is too clean almost every day🤣🤣.
Now I want lil smokies and Hawaiian Rolls for lunch ..... ❤️
Awww Jia. Look at your little matching girls with their hair and uniforms! Love it. 💕 My kids school just changed their lunch policy this year, so the first graders and Kindergarten get free hot lunch every day. Win-win! 🙌

You are such a caring, loving mom! 💕💜💕

Got the video to play 😫😍 love the ideas, my son don't eat pork or red meat but being a stay at home home I cook all his meals but I think packing his lunch like this will save me so much time
Ur meals are so nicely balanced even tho u have picky kids! That’s quite impressive, you’re doing great mom💕
You are such an awesome mom! I have a 9 month old I hope I can pack her lunches like yours one day 💕

I love the girls napkins I never thought to have monogram napkins and I monogram everything thanks for that idea. Be bless.

The whole time I was watching this, my only thought was: The struggle is real. Trying to find food they'll eat looks challenging!
I really love this I wish I could see what my kids ate after school. When I get home they eat the leftovers as afternoon snacks so I really don’t know how good did they eat at school. Thank you for the lunch ideas. My kids hate the school lunches. So I struggle each week trying to figure out lunch for 4 different appetites and taste buds.
Thanks so much for doing this video. My daughter doesn't like the school lunches so your ideas will be very helpful! I already ordered the yumbox!
My 7 year old loves to snack....she would love these❤️Great ideas, dear! Love your channel❤️
My six year old is extremely picky and it’s so hard even when I take him to the grocery store and he picks what he want he does not eat it! Great video 👍🏾
Hi mom your children are getting good lunches. .......
Lunch with Love 🤸♀️🤸♀️🥰🥰🥰
My kids love Nutella and peanut butter sandwiches and Nutella with strawberry jelly.
My son literally eats the same thing everyday. Sandwich. Greek yogurt. Juice. And chips. Sometimes he’s has little smokies or pepperoni but that’s really it. I have a feeling he will never change his lunch ha ha
Thank you so much for this video :) my little one is going into kindergarten and I was at a loss on what to pack.
Our school district ever kid gets free lunch.
My picky eater could have free lunch everyday, but she still packs a lunch.
I have a two year old but she does go to school and I do need to pack food for her. Her school does provide food but I send mostly snacks, she’s very picky too and one moment she will like something and the next she won’t. So you did give me some ideas on what to pack.

Aww 😍 they’re sweet and beautiful
Love these videos! I watched it with my son to see what he was interested in and this was full of “oh mom pack me that too!!!” :)
Omg I learned something new with the thermos trick!
We go to school Tuesday September 3 in Canada Ontario
Me too!
Me too too!

Your lucky
Hi Jia, My daughter was always a picky eater !!! I would pack her a ham & cheese sandwich on brown bread, cheese stick and apple the first few weeks of school. How does the food stay cold in a YumBox? Mine would not eat warm cheese.
It stays cold because of the ice pack at the bottom of the lunch box. Plus after I make it I put the whole yumbox in the fridge
I absolutely love this video! Wonderful lunch ideas!
My kiddo is a picky eater for sure
I make lots of warm lunches
Fideo(mexican soup) looks kinda like spaghetti o's but different, pizza when I go like once a week during lunch with him, fettuccine alfredo w/chicken I add in broccoli, mac n cheese (I add in broccoli or cauliflower),quesadillas, flautas (chicken/potato) with sour cream, tamales in the winter, posole, turkey and cheese sandwich I use cookie cutters for shapes, sausages rolls, white rice with hot dogs I cut shaped like octopus, potstickers, tyson chicken nuggets, grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup,
Beans/Mexican rice w taco
Or I make like a lunchable with cut deli ham and cheese
Sloppy Joe sandwiche
Spaghetti ofcourse I make him small portions those are his main meal and I add fruits he likes on the side and animals and sometimes. Fridays are the only day I pack him chips, cookies, or whatever sweets one juice and water always.
I meant danimals
Love making my kids lunches. My daughters is more fun that my son's cause she will eat anything and he is PICKY!
I make kabobs, wraps, sub sandwiches, cucumber salad, etc.
I get so many lunch/grocery/dinner ideas from the family fudge!!
i have 3 boys who have autistic and 2 out of the 3 are very picky eaters especially my youngest xx thank you for shring your lunch ideas ill have to try them with my boys and let you know how they get on they dont start back to school until the 4th september as we live in the uk xxx
Your babies are beautiful and I like the lunch video. Thank you for sharing
Love these lunch videos, this our first year packing lunches, my sons daycare provided food. I'm really struggling to mix it up and keep it healthy!
They’re so stinking cute 😁😁😁😄😘. My daughter complain about everything I pack her so I end up buying sandwiches from the store every morning?
Since your girls like pepperoni you should try pepperoni and cheese pinwheels it's traditional to use a tortilla but I've seen people just flatten bread an substitute that for the tortilla.
My 14 year old eats Campbell’s soup, goldfish crackers, raspberries and sometimes a granola bar

This was so funny although I'm sure Tommy traumatized you! lol

Thanks
She sounds like most adults 😂😆
