Presentation on Covid 19. Medical professionals and Diagnostic centres must honestly evaluate on humanitarian grounds, rather than business like. This private sector must get involved in such seminars with transparency and legality to be framed by Health Ministry. Congrats to Dr Guleria and team of AIIMS for this conduct, to save patients from over diagnosis and treatment.

Dr Farid Jalali had presented his paper in May 2021 regarding role of seratonin imbalance in aggravating the disease. He had suggested role 5HT2 antagoniser in mediating this disease in case of patients moving from moderate to critical phase , i.e only incase of disease progressing from moderate to critical approximately from10th day . He had suggested trials be conducted . Has AIIMs doctors read up on this paper . Science is not about certainity, but falsifying wrong hypothesis . Can you guys at AIIMs look up at Dr Farid Jalalis paper and come up with some test , trial s to either falsify, modify or verify his hypothesis. Please do respond. We have lots of faith in AIIMs doctors.

One gentle man in the seminar has said that we should have binding guidelines on doctors for prescriptions of tests and medicines. I wish to ask him, how you will enforce those BINDING GUIDELINES on doctors. What mechanism that gentleman has in his mind, whether he will use police, administrative machinery, judiciary or army to enforce those binding guidelines. In this situation of chaos where complete government and private machinery is working day and night to manage the situation. Isnt is unwise to waste our valuable time and resources for framing those BINDING GUIDELINES. For illustration in that gentleman got succeeded in enforcing those guidelines by hook and crook, there might be a situation where an eligible patient wont be able to get his CBC and CRP done, because of red tapism. Rest left to your wisdom. Regards

yeahh i agree with you but only partly.....most of the patients i spoke with ( almost relatives and frnds ) are actually wanting to do the hrct after confirmation by rtpcr ....... the simple reason they told us is they will have the accurate representation of how much lung is infected ....... and some of them cant even afford it they have to lend money from others to pay for that and are still willing to pay ......
@@dharmatejasarakam3940 as a doctor we have a responsibility to explain if they ask for unnecessary tests/medications. And provide the care they need the most. 1 CT = 300 cxr radiations.... Which mean you expose a patient to cancer risk in the future. This is just an example. I have seen prescriptions with more than 20 medicines(5antibiotics included) which are of no help... And finally after things go down, these patients approach institutions for care... Which could have been managed better if only every doctor updates his medical and clinical skills in this area
@@judithdavis4137 yeahh i do and i tried to avoid hrct in most of the cases ...... and failed in some coz there is lack of rapid kits and they are desperate for a test and some other person suggested hrct and they have gone for it......
@@dharmatejasarakam3940 HRCT is not necessary as it doesn't dictate management in opd cases. HRCT becomes mandatory in icu patients who are not improving. Just because everyone does something doesn't mean I should do the same, right. 😉. Nice meeting u. All the best
