The old black man in the car is Garrett Morris, one of the original cast of SNL. He played Ant-Man in a skit back in 1979, so the director gave him a little cameo.
I never knew that's why he was in it. I always thought it was weird that he was in this movie and didn't do anything.
1979 actually, but yes, Garrett was the first person to play Ant-Man on screen. th-cam.com/video/ndSp1zM_8cY/w-d-xo.html
@@KevyNova I love that bit of trivia. I never even thought of that before and I watched it live way back when.
🤯 🤯
The work they do with Paxton, the step father, from a possible enemy to a friend of Scott's is very good.
Spoiler for part 2!
@@philipocallaghan I’m guessing you skipped the intro or just forgot, but he said he watched any man and the wasp before this. Like a while back.
@@john.c.munoz04 not for primate, for us . =(
@@philipocallaghan it sint even a spoiler if youve seen this film. theyre clearly somewhat friends by the end of this movie to the point where scott is eating at their dinner table
Luis is underrated AF he's not a superhero but he is f****** hilarious with his little stories with the flashback I swear I have seen people online be like at the end of every phase of the MCU could we just have like a trailer for what's coming start with a little rant from him covering what happened in the previous one
They have something like that out but it was only shown to fans who went to a comic con a few years ago. I think they should've put it on a Blu-ray with one of the movies.
Darren Cross: "Did you think you could stop the FUTURE with a HEIST!?" 28:54
Avengers in Endgame: Yup!
Luis is one of my favorite characters in the MCU, specially his narrations. I can only imagine if he narrates all the MCU, just imagine
I think the actual reason Scott passed out is because when you get high enough in the air, oxygen starts getting harder to come by and your lungs are working harder to provide it. Like how a person finds themselves hard to breathe when, say, at the top of a mountain. When you're small, it becomes even harder to get oxygen once you get high enough.
But why didnt Iron Man and Iron Monger Pass out in the Iron Man?
@@jasonvoorheescampblood Probably because they didn't go anywhere near high enough to be affected or their suits have their own oxygen supply. I have to go with the latter one, honestly.
@@jasonvoorheescampblood Seriously, though, Iron Man and Iron Monger are in metal suits. Why wouldn't an oxygen supply be one of the first things they'd think to give them?
@@Samfry523 true. But how did you get back to a 4 month old conversation 😅
@@jasonvoorheescampblood I honestly forgot I had this conversation at all.
I adore this movie. It has so much heart, and the heist vibe was a nice change of pace from the rest of the MCU. Not only that, but this is an amazing example of how the parenting team can co-exist and even be great friends after a divorce. There are lots of wholesome and weird family units in the MCU, but Scott's family is my favorite.
the best thing to come out of this movie was the promo with Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd saying ANTS and slapping their knees
Fun fact: The elderly African-American gentleman in the cab with the roof that Scott crushes the first time he puts the costume on? That was Garrett Morris. Not only was Garrett Morris the first black man ever cast on Saturday Night Live he is also the first actor to ever physically portray Ant-man in live action (also on SNL)
The old man whose car Scott lands on is the great SNL alum Garrett Morris. Garrett was the first live-action Ant Man in a 70`s skit on SNL. Yellow Jacket was also one of Hank Pym`s identities in the comics.
Corey Stoll who plays Yellow Jacket was also in a great series called The Strain you should check out. Vampire apocalypse.
Michael Peña is the bomb. I totally agree; his flashback scenes are some of the funniest moments in the MCU.
At Baskin Robins Scott had the name tag "Jack" and talked to another employee "Darby". Those are Paul Rudd's childrens names: Jack and Darby.
Luis was hilarious especially how they did the lip sync when he was telling the story of who told who who told him. One of my favorite parts. 🤣 The movie was already funny but when they added him it just made it even better! I loved how he added that element but still wasn’t afraid to do what needed to be done to help the team 🤣 🤣
Oh and Shang Chi, recently watched, literally probably one of the best Marvel movies to date.
*"No Way Home"* enters chat... through a portal..
"Hello.. umm, I hope its okay i just came through this.. uh.. oh.. It just closed.."
@@themudbloodjedi8390 i understood that reference
Michael Pena is NOT in enough scenes! 😂🐜
Fun fact: Ants cannot take fall damage. They're too small. An ant could fall off the Empire State Building and survive. This is because of the Square Cube Law, which, in this case, means that an ant is so small that its easy for their body to absorb the force of landing. The bigger an organism gets, the more damage the fall will do.
Please watch "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" from 1989!
I just said this movie reminds me of it + I like all 3.
“My days of breaking into a place and steal some shit are done.
What do you need me to do?”
Fun fact one of the reasons stark created the nano suit was antman, he cannot get into it, it's probably one of the only suits that could beat antman
Iron Man 3 and Any Man are great low key Holidays movies- Ant Man in particular is hopeful and fun.
Louise is HILARIOUS. It's fun watching his actor with Sebastian Stan as astronauts in The Martian.
You could make miniature factories, labs, parking lots. And as people enter the company building or parking lot the get shrunk down and get shrunk back up when they clock out. You could make miniature malls or suburbs, it literally changes infrastructure and everything thing else you could imagine. Fields of miniature crops only to get shrunk back up to regular size when the harvest comes.
The stuff he broke into the safe with was all Hanks equipment. So Scott used hanks own stuff to break into his vault.
I love how you caught on to the fact that the gun could also be sold and mass produced as well as the suit, but the movie just ignores the gun even though it is busted AF.
Fun fact (unless someone beat me to it): as Scott is shrinking through the quantum realm near the end of the movie, you can see Janet's outline on the right side of the screen.
“He’d get more dense, he’s a lot more hard I guess is a good way to put it, pause”😂😂
They do say they evacuated the building and Luis even carried out the security guy he knocked out so there should have been no casualties there.
Don’t know if you noticed but in the opening that’s Peggy Carter and Howard Stark
Man, this movie, the sequel, and the Guardians of the Galaxy movies are some of my fave Marvel movies. Also introduced me to more characters, and puts Ant-Man & The Guardians as some of my favorite characters too. Excellent movies with some good humor.
As a kid, I'd only ever knew of like the main Marvel heroes (Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Cap, etc) so seeing these "new" heroes was great.
Luis Peña is in a sci-fi thriller called EXTINCTION that has a pretty great twist. Lizzy Caplan and Mike Coltor are also in it,
The scariest part about being this tiny is that you can see bugs and spiders up close. If I were Ant-Man and came across a wasp or hornet I would probably have a heart attack because I already hate them normal size.
This is why hank pym is the most humble smart person in the mcu
Fun fact, Hank was the original Yellowjacket.
I like this movie but I think this movie would have been better if Marvel kept the original director Edgar Wright. When Marvel fired him for creative differences, he went to Sony and made Baby Driver which got him 2 Oscars for Sound and Editing.
Ant maaan from thirty six seconds ago ladies and gentlemen I just done my day and opened a beer :D
haha big w
Scott Lang: a modern day Jean Valjean.
You should watch Tag! movie with Jeremy Renner man, its hilarious 🤣 One of my most favorite movies, even based on true story
Parks and Recreation is a fantastic sitcom. Also, Paul Rudd has a great run on that show.
That gun is such a plot hole! imagine he sold that as a weapon XD
The beginning of this was a bit deal for those of us that remember Michael Douglas from the 80s.
This movie did the same for shrinking for Super Heroes that Honey I Shrunk the Kids did for Family movies.
Not being gay but if I could pick any celeb to be my sugar daddy... Paul Rudd is defo on top of the list!
Brought to you by Marvel starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang. A former thief on parole trying to do right by his young daughter Cassie and ex wife. To do so he breaks into a house that contains an odd type of suit that has the capacity to shrink it's owner down to a minute size.
Still such a missed opportunity how Luis didn't have a summary montage of IW before Endgame premiered LOL
Ant Man is a special movie. 😻
Good movie Paul Rudd is always funny & this reminds me a little bit of Honey I shrunk the kids & I was shocked that T.I & Wood Harris was on here.
Anybody else think the bad guy in this movie (Corey Stoll) would have been a waaaay better Lex Luthor than Jesse Eisenberg?
PLEASE, PLEASE Watch Role Models with Paul Rudd, it's probably his funniest role ever
16:25 - something tells me that if you throw a pellet the size of an ant that weights 70+ kg from that height, it would do a lot more damage to that car...and the asphalt it's sitting on.
Thanks, Primate! 🐜
15:20 the grow button didn't work I think, he tried, probably ran out of the blue pym particles.
22:03 I’m Ant-Man.❤️🔴🤍⚪️🐜
I wasn’t feeling to good today and I finally had a good chance to sit down and this was the first video I saw on my suggested. I knew this sh$& was gonna be good. Keep up the good vids thx for cheering me up Primate
Hope your day gets better man!
Dude, I worked retail in the Wharf of San Francisco for 5+ years, you get those crazy tourist question ALL the time - I was asked more than once at a hot sauce store if we had any sauces without onions, garlic, or carrots. In fairness, Janeism is a religion that doesn't consume fruits or vegetables that have "touched the dirt" so all root vegetables are no-gos for them...but any good hot sauce worth it's cost, includes at least one of those. On a positive note, we had great cross-traffic with all the ice cream stores because it's one of the best solutions for a hot mouth!!
On a side note: at the time they were filming Antman and the Wasp, I was bartending just down the street - really some amazing filmwork....keep it going!!
Trust me the office is mile stones ahead of “friends”
Aye bro. Most marvel movies have 2 end credit scenes. 1 scene after the initial credits then another after all the credits are over. You missed this last end credit scene where Steve and Sam have Bucky trapped in Civil War
You should see _Innerspace_ (1987) sometime.
13:58 - no, it's not. It's pretty stupid. If you pour water in to...anything, it will not stay on the walls but run down. The only way you can freeze that mechanism is if you fill the whole safe with water (after making it waterproof) and then froze it (it would be a long procedure). What they showed on the screen is a joke for anyone that knows of gravity.
“They never bring that gun back”
michael pena has been really good in everything i've seen. so the three movies i've seen with him in it. ant man 1, and man 2, and this netflix movie called something like.... Last Watch? it's about him and jake gyllenhaal being police
Baskin Robbins always finds out
Its sad that Luis had not narrated infinity war and endgame 😂
Imagine lmao
Please react to The Crow (1994), Brandon Lee is the lead actor he is the son of Bruce Lee, it’s an amazing movie. This is Brandon Lee tragic performance, Lee got shot with pieces of residue from a blank bullet still stuck in the chamber of the prop gun, the prop crew didn’t clean the gun and didn’t check if the gun still had any residue which it did. The director and crew and actors all though that the scene went as planned but they saw Brandon on ground for a couple of minutes they thought he was playing a joke or something but he wasn’t, they walk towards him and turn him and see that Brandon was really shot for real so they rushed him to the hospital where doctors performed surgery but after they told the crew that Brandon Lee had passed away on March 31, 1993 Brandon Lee was only 28 years old. They still went ahead and finished the movie but some scenes are not Brandon they used his body double to finish the movie but they CGI his face.
This reminds me, we need a movie of Atom Ant.
For stuff to check out, watch the "HULK VS " double feature animated movie- first is Hulk vs. Thor and second is Hulk Vs. Wolverine.
The actor for the step father is really good, you should check him out in Mr. Robot
Gotta say first thing I noticed, good de-aging on younger Michael Douglas
I agree! 😁 It actually looks exactly like he did at that age, same can't be said for the de-aging on Kurt Russel in GotG2 🙈
@@caseyh8386 yep really took me to actual 80's movie characters he played
They had to get deep into the MCU to make a movie as unashamed of itself and its source material like this.
Glad you did this. Also, got to put The Office on a poll ASAP!!!
Sitcoms are hard to do cuz of copyright sadly :(
@@ItsAPrimatee Yeah, The Office is for sure. Maybe Patreon exclusive or something. Community or Parks and Rec are 2 sitcoms I see channels able to post on TH-cam that are also really good. The Office, Friends, Community, Parks and Rec, and New Girl or my top 5 favorite comedy series.
Titanic was a massive best picture winner
Thanks for making this movie reaction and bringing back memories when I first saw it😂👍
God blessed Paul Rudd
I just saw Eternals the night before last. It starts off slow but gets better later.
If you do rewatch make sure there in the release order. The end credits are the what's coming up next.
‘District 9’ or ‘clover field (2008)’
Patiently waiting for the other Star Trek movies
Omg yes do TITANIC 🙌🏼
34:00 I AM DEADD
I think this is a genuinely great movie. Just a fun watch all around
You were right time does pass differently in the quantum zone,
Fire ants are right below Nazis just above mosquitoes which are slightly above alligators as far as animals we could do without.
5:47 more like glass 5% full
poor guy...
11:20 you definitely need to see HISHE Ant-man
Louis has a video where he explains the whole mcu up to either infinity war or endgame. (I don't remember which exactly) you should definitely react to it
Oh great pick, Paul Rudd is hilarious... the sequel is totally worth it!
Oh bro.. please consider checking out "Welcome to Marwen", the lastest RZemeckis movie.. based on a true story ❤
ant-man is my top 2 MCU along with Guardians 2
paul rudd is perfect as a dad
Love your reactions! Keep it up!
Thanks!
This movie is pretty fun, def better and more rewatchable than thor 1 and 2 both iron man sequels and the first cap movie.
Ohhh you should DEFINITELY watch the office!!! You mentioned it in this video that’s why I said it
I'm excited to see the 3rd Ant man.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Peggy Carter at the beginning.
Single marvel movie i havent enjoyed..... I just reminisce of everytime I've watched Captain America First Avenger and just fell asleep everytime. lol And in unpopular opinion, Black Panther. Yes I know, Pretty colors. But unfortunately, flashiness and diversity doesn't make up for lack luster and bland story telling.
Yeah, "ANT-hony" cute! HAHA! Moving on.....
Baskin-Robbins don't play.
Quick question Primate do u love Scott Lang as Antman
yes
Great movie, underrated
Please tell me you watched the 2nd greatest after end credits scene in movie history, 1st being Airplane😜😂
Dope setup
Thanks man
You haven't seen the office?
The office?
Please make this next??
Sitcoms are really hard due to copyright
Somewhat of a random question but would you ever consider playing the Batman Arkham games on this channel if you haven’t played them yet? They’re lots of fun and I think you would enjoy them
I know he played Arkham Aslyum on Twitch, but I don't know if he finished it.
Played part way through it on twitch but havent finished it
