Honestly Andrews Spider-Man is like the most skilled and u can just tell like all of his movements resemble an actual spider. This movie is so underrated.

@@jonathanaimoto mmmm officially yea this is true. She had been in a long relationship w Keiran Culkin and he was w Shannon Woodward. 3 yrs or so for both. They got involved during ASM but were both pretty much cheating on their significant others. The both split w their others around the same time after filming then were clearly together for months before confirmation.
Not a tabloid dirt sheet but our fx team was close to the production during that time doin some of the ancilliary parts of the fx production.

I don’t blame you, I unapologetically love this movie to death, it has its problem due to studio interference but it’s still one of my favorite Spider-Man films, the acting and CGI is also amazing and better than the Raimi trilogy, not saying that those movies aren’t revolutionary and iconic but this one always resonated more with me, also Andrew’s love to the character just shines through his performance and I seriously love his as Peter/Spider-Man
I prefer TASM 1&2's swinging and action scenes, I think its better than both original and especially tom holland's, tom holland looks too digital

i love the lizard from the comics and animated series but they made him look like a goomba from the super mario movie.

This was fun for me because Peter builds his web shooters.
Tom Hollands spiderman did too and we saw him mixing web fluid briefly but here, this actually showcased him trying and failing over and over until it was right.
No disrespect to any of the actors but Andrew's spiderman montage building his shooters was awesome to me.
There’s a sequence of scenes in this movie that breaks me. It’s when he can’t listen to his uncles voice. There’s something so heart breaking about that. It’s hard not to empathize with that in a real way. And the way everyone recognizes just how crushing it is for him. To cap it off, when Flash tries to help him in the best way he can, so heartbreaking.
In the comics Peter’s First girlfriend was Gwen Stacy after she died. Mary Jane was peter’s second girlfriend

Fun fact: Peter in this movie doesnt become Spider-Man when he was bitten by the Spider or when he was looking for his Uncle's killer. He became Spider-Man on the bridge scene and its also the first time he said that he is Spider-Man
Gwen Stacy is Peter’s first love- MJ was just a party girl who secretly knew Peter was spidey the whole time. After issue 121 in the comics, MJ became more grounded and closer with Peter after spoilers.

You know Andrew cried when he first wore the spiderman suit. And in the end he got tired of the studio and distanced himself. I so badly detest Sony for ruining the amazing spiderman franchise. I really wish Marc webb had more control. I wish Avi Arad would stop being so concerned with selling toys which ends up clashing with the director's vision.
I really like connor’s because in the comics he’s not an evil dude or anything he’s trying to make medicine to regenerate limbs and he accidentally turns into Crocodile after peter saves him a couple of times and reverts the transformation Connor’s becomes like a sidekick kind of who analyses things that are out of peters expertise or if Spider-man gets sick.

@@maxschutzer4749 Yeah, the main issue I had with tobey is that he didn't really feel witty and confident when the mask was on. There was no real separation between when the mask was on and off which works for spidey in his later years when that confidence from spidey has spilled into pete's life but not when he's still in/fresh out of school.

This is my favorite Spiderman of all time. Andrew's acting was the best out of the three, he is an oscar nominated artist after all.

What this film did better than any of the other spiderman films (in my opinion) was peter earning the hero title for spiderman and wasn't just suddenly a respected hero. That said tobey's spiderman was done spectacularly, especially #2 and transcended beyond what happened to this franchise come the sequel.
Andrew is my favorite spiderman. He just seems more like the comics.

Look guys Tobey is most accurate to the classic original comics while Andrew is most accurate to "recent" comics of the wall crawler. Both are great. I do prefer Tobey but that's not saying Andrew isn't amazing either.
So underrated I hate how people compare the Spider-Man’s. I like them each in their own way
I grew up with the first trilogy like most people but man do I love the Amazing Spider-man movies.
My fave scenes from this movie were: Peter pinning Flash against the lockers only for Flash to tell Peter that he understands what Peter's going through right after Uncle Ben died; the 2nd fave scene was the muted yell of grief that Peter gives right after Gwen's dad passes.
To me these Spider-Man movies have great visuals and is underrated
Coolest version of Peter Parker ever. That aside, before the movie came out, there was the obligatory Comic-con panel pre-release. They had the filmmakers and director on the panel, and up comes this really nervous nerdy dude in a store bought Spidey costume inf ront of a microphone to take a question. Pretty normal, right?
WRONG! Guys pulls off his mask to reveal ANDREW GARFIELD in that costume, and literally monologuing how much he loves the franchise, how much Spider-Man means to him as a character....it was the most heart-warming thing I'd ever seen!
And the movie was pretty good, too!
Since it was before Sony and Marvel Studios had collaborated on Spider-Man in order to bring him into the MCU, Peter's parents are secret agents exactly as in the comics, but in the comics, they are more specifically ..... Agents of SHIELD!
Still kinda waiting for the MCU to acknowledge Peter's parents actual jobs as SHIELD agents, but the closest we got to them in the TAS films was when they were .... *sigh* ..... CIA, because Sony didnt have the rights to SHIELD.

This movie has fantastic visuals and the best swinging physics/sequences to this day. Also, the dynamic between Uncle Ben, Aunt May and Peter were GREAT. *So real and emotional.* Andrew Garfield's acting b4 he slams the door and breaks the glass, is SO GOOD. And that kitchen scene with Aunt May *chefs kiss* lol
Tobey still the goat but god damn this movie has terrific moments that just CANT be understated!
I liked this from film because it was the first superhero movie in the Spider Man films with music composed by Academy Award winner James Horner, RIP.
I love this movie and I love this Spider-Man. Still my favourite characterisation of him in movies to this day. This version of him deserved so much better and there are still so many scenes and moments from these films that stand out as iconic and amazing.
The uncle ben death in this one hit harder because he and Peter had a lot of human moments in the movie

Back in the days where the suit was just a suit to protect his identity, and spider sense was a thing. I mean, suit is just a suit and Peter still relies on his abilities to fight. Tom's spidey was too high tech he rely mostly on his suit than his own ability. When we love Spider-Man because of his ability to outsmart his enemies.
Personally this is my favorite Spider-Man origin story. Andrew Garfield’s acting in this is amazing.

They left Harry out of the first film because they wanted to to focus on building Spider-Man/Peter Parker as a character and his relationship between himself and Gwen. Great story telling!

Beat way to describe the three Spiderman actors: Maguire was a good Peter Parker (nerdy and socially-awkward) but brings too much of that into “Spiderman”. Garfield is a good “Spiderman” (cocky and brash), but too ‘too-cool-for-school’ loner type for Peter Parker. Holland is the ideal awkward nerd Peter and cocky/funny “Spiderman”

I think the Amazing movies are the ones with the best Spidey action. He really moves and fights like a human spider instead of a “superhero” and it outdoes the style of Holland’s movies imo.

I swear man, these movies have getting a lot of love lately and I'm here for it. They're starting to get the Star Wars prequel treatment where all the kids/teens who loved these movies are actually getting really vocal about it online. I always really liked Andrew's Spider-Man and his relationship with Gwen, they just spoke to me more than the others.
I kinda wish we got to see this Flash become agent venom because that was such a fire character arc for him and I saw it going in that direction at the end of ASM

For comic accurate jokes, quips, and web-swinging its Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man
For realistic young and inexperienced Spidey its Tom Holland's Spider-Man
For realistic adult Peter Parker its Tobey Maguire
For comic accurate looks as Peter Parker its Andrew Garfield
For realistic teenage Peter Parker its Tom Holland
They're all equally smart but I'd say Andrew Garfield's and Tom Holland's Spider-Man are smarter than Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man.
The problems:
Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man is too serious and lacks Spidey's usual jokes and quips
Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker is too cool. The execs fucked up his portrayal
Tom Holland's Spider-Man relies too much on Stark Tech and height wise Tom Holland is small and still has a babyface.
This first reboot for Spidey started out pretty strong.
Combining Classic & Ultimate Spider-Man.
A.G. caught the true flavor of who Peter/Spidey was.
The suit and webshooters were major cool.
I was mad that the reboot wasn't going to connect to the MCU and at first, it almost did.
But Sony said no thanks to Marvel Studios on making it possible.
The Amazing Spider-Man tie-in video game is phenomenal.
It's story was a follow-up to the movie and is one of the best Spiderman games.
Andrew Garfield will forever be my Spider-man.

I loved that suit too, but people really complained so for the sequel they basically just rehashed the Tobey suit but with bigger eyes. Shame how the sequel went for this because I really liked how it started. Seems as though Tobey and Andrew are getting a return soon though.

Peter's parents dont matter tho. That's why whenever they used his parents in the comics it didn't stay cos people really hated it.
I remember a lot of people being angry at Peter not telling Gwen, to which I have to say "If you see your girlfriend's dad die to the dangers you face, would you really want her involved?" It's not about Gwen's father haunting him if he breaks the promise or something, it's because he doesn't want to risk losing her and having it be his fault for dragging her into his mess.
Unfortunately it was as Gwen was inadvertantly killed by Green Goblin and his Peter's desperation to save her.

I think The Reason Much people hated on the movie was because it was more serious than goofy and upbeat like sam raimes.
