The chain of command and superior authority is exhausting. I don't mind structure or respect but not the toxic overbearing kind.

They lash out and become cruel & vindictive the moment you 'upstage' them. I've even had workplace bullies get extremely aggressive and hostile towards me when I brought in donuts to work (even though they ate them). A couple bullies trash talked me behind my back and viewed my behavior as attention seeking, trying to 'flex', and trying to curry favor with higher ups (rather than just a nice gesture). It was ALL about them. Who cares if everyone enjoyed the snacks -- their feelings were hurt. Meanwhile, if I keep to myself, stop doing them favors, and just focus on work then I'm rude and 'stuck up'

I've countless instances of them whispering "I'm going to destroy you" like a recital of a super villain speech. So uncanny and creepy 😳. They talk like fake people like actors. Do people really say that. Mind you these 3 people who have said this threw out my life as wore uniforms. Interesting.I offended them with boundaries and they destroy. Wtf?😂

And the boundary was me correcting them on how to pronounce MY NAME, 😂. This has made me isolate now no one will be benefiting from my gifts because of they're hostility they spread. These destroying lunatics are scary.

Same. I've been there many times. The constant pathological oneupmanship is beyond pathetic. Countless bullies have tried to compete with me with clothes, hair, and food. I thought everyone outgrew that nonsense in junior high. And, yes, what is the mantra of narcissistic abuse? Three words: YOU. CAN'T. WIN. If you course-correct, they will just move the goalposts and make you jump through new hoops. That's why it's so important to know absolutely who you are - your identity, your boundaries, and your rights - so they can't neg you.

Yes, I was there. Its insane, I was there to work and be apart of the team but others were there to dog pile and dominate. I had many corner me for being righteous and tell me they would destroy me for being outspoken 😂 wtf. Megalomaniacs.

I’ve finally left my bullying hell hole 2 weeks ago. Sadly, they will be bullying someone else already to take my place. The relief I expected hasn’t fully come yet but I’m sure in time it will. It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life - hated for absolutely nothing.

I estimate that it usually take one half of your tenure to heal from a toxic workplace, and I have a video on that. It takes a long time to heal, but there are things you can do to accelerate your healing, like - first and foremost - acknowledging that you have been hurt and prioritizing your healing. Spiritual practices like meditation, yoga, journaling, etc. definitely help, too. When you have trauma, you can't think clearly, so it's best not to take any action. If you do, you will probably regret it. And you are right: of course they are swiftly moving onto to new victims. They're addicts.

@@clairehuntonline Thank you Claire. I’ve thought about yoga for a while. I couldn’t heal from a horrible experience I had gone through while working there because they were piling on more trauma. Things will be better now but I think you are right in saying that I need to acknowledge what has happened and find ways to recover.

I went through the same as you. Could not do my work in peace due to micromanaging supervisor. I clocked in, did my job, bothered no one. You're right, all that nonsense for nothing. I left her high & dry when I didn't show up to work one weekend. What goes around comes around. I had to get away from that demon
