    I used to think workplace bullying only existed in blue collar or working class environments.
    But I was harassed at a 'big law' firm by an associate attorney who graduated from Columbia law school (with honors). I think it ultimately boils down to insecurity and a lack of respect.

      Must be bc one of our newest lawyers is bulling a veteran paralegal. It's weird.

      I thought moving from a middling prestige company to a much more prestigious company might result in better behaved co-workers. Ha, ha. I was so naive. The competition within was fiercer and the bullying behavior more diabolical.

      It's generally positions that are higher level or celebrity status where this kind of bullying occurs. Believe me, I know

    • @Monicaaa13

      @@iconicintuitive I experienced bullying in all types of environments.
      All my bullies had identical personality traits. They were all highly extroverted and defensive people. They were the kind of people who were deficient in empathy & refused to apologize (they often conflate kindness with weakness). Many bullies have major victim complexes. They feel justified to bully others because they feel the world 'owes' them. They also have hierarchy mindsets and tend to lack respect for women and minority groups (even when they are also a member of these groups).
      My bullies had zero tolerance for anyone different. They were highly judgmental and superficial, so they assume everyone is the same way. For example, if you choose to eat salad for lunch (instead of fast food ), they will view your behavior as a judgment against THEM. If you refuse to engage in toxic gossip, they get defensive and need to make YOU the villain (to preserve their own sense of 'goodness').
      These people are ALL miserable. They spend the majority of the workday gossiping about others (for petty reasons, which are not work related). And when they expel all their targets, they turn on eachother (or start trashing politicians and celebrities instead)

      Yes, when it comes to workplace bullying, insecurity is the name of the game. And it has nothing to do with the work. You don't threaten their jobs. You threaten their egos. They don't respect you, but they may like you and/or be afraid of you.

  • @0_Katt_0

    All my bullies shared greed as a common trait. Not only did they steal from the company (by ordering packages for themselves and writing them off as "office expenses"), but they also felt entitled to take all the free food and supplies at work. As much as they could stuff in their bags or faces.
    They were also ALL (unsurprisingly) massively overweight too. Gluttony encompassed every aspect of their lives

    • @clairehuntonline
      @clairehuntonline  หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Yes!! Their sin is gluttony. Just stuffing their fat faces with everything they can get their grubby little hands on: literally and metaphorically. My bullies have stolen workplace supplies, too - right in front of me. And I was just thinking the other day about how almost everyone who bullied me was heavier than I am. Sometimes, workplace bullying really is just beating up on the little guy on the playground.

    • @0_Katt_0
      @0_Katt_0 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s like you say - nothing is ever enough. They’ve never satiated. They can’t stop looking outside themselves. This is probably what causes them to become easily triggered and threatened. They lash out at anyone who has “more” (money, attention, beauty, confidence…it can be anything).
      They can’t stand feeling inferior and will do anything to preserve their ego. Even being too “different” can offend these people. They view this as a criticism against their chosen lifestyle or something. Their overwhelming desire to be “right”, to be number one, and to be in control causes them to lash out. Their feelings and selfish desires trump everyone else, so screw the collective.

    this reminds me of a job i had to quit because the Newley appointed manager was a bully. Every day it felt like he kept draining my energy deliberately with his well-planned antics, it even got to a point where it felt borderline homosexual with the advances on my person and energy.

      Thats the thing that really gets me, they go home and think of these weird things to do. The thought of them at home getting their jollies off daydreaming and planning stupid things to do to you is creepy in the extreme. It's forced bonding just by you exerting energy to stay out of their sphere. It's just freaky on all levels.

    • @alphamaledude
      @alphamaledude หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@pointfrogg Your telling me, i leave work and just think how can someone be so evil to another human being, then i think ok it's beyond the physical once you do that you realize they don't that and you've already won. God doesn't like ugly, and these peeps are hideous.

      While I don't really like the use of the word "homosexual," there is a lot of sexual energy (and closeted homosexuality) in the workplace, and I have mentioned that in some videos. Who knows what his motivation was? But, if you feel that it was sexual, trust your intuition.

Yes I had bullies that had more things than me : spouse , kids and house and they still hated me when all I had was a stack of bills and lived in my little apartment alone. They are NEVER happy. Thank you for mentioning entity attachments and possession. I believe it's at the root of what you're talking about and it needs to become more common knowledge so it can be brought to light, addressed, and the behavior extinguished/attachments removed.

      True, but that is why I dislike mainstream, traditional psychology. Because it's so slavishly dependent on acceptance from academia, it rejects wholesale anything that can not be quantified by the immediate five senses. So it's missing the spiritual component, which is a huge piece of the puzzle. Psychology is very good at explaining some things, but not everything.

    I think Greed had psychological problems. I had a non-boss toxic guy who I think was also mad, who stared at me and said all sorts of heinous things to me in the workplace. It's of little surprise to me that his wife had been admitted to a mental institute several times and that he was an ex-door to door Bible bashing cultish type before he worked there. I more or less told him to F-off in the end; he just retreated away and tried to remotely undermine me but at least I didn't interact with him anymore.

    Everyone keeps saying I should “wear an armour” but I can’t do it no matter how hard I’ve tried. And I’ve tried for 2,5 years in my current job and it’s gotten worse and worse (partly because I have fought back). If I could go back in time I would have applied for new jobs everyday from the first red flag I experienced, and pretended like I was stupid and not shown any self respect. I regret staying so long, and now I’m pregnant, so I have to survive for three more months of hell and spend my mom leave applying for jobs.
    Any tips on how I should behave in future jobs? I think how you present yourself from the beginning is what targets you.. I think I’m too open and emotional idk… 🤷‍♀️ and I’m so scared of this happening again, because I think I will break if that happens.

      Congratulations on your pregnancy!! That's a blessing. I'm so sorry to hear about what you are experiencing. Yes, first impressions are everything: you only get one moment to make it or break it with these people. I would say just be yourself, and I have a video on that. If you are masking, when you switch up on them, they will use it against you. If you show them absolutely who you are from the getgo, they can't say anything about your "attitude." It's just your personality. You have to demand acceptance.
