If the Anderson woman is right or if the rumour is true then the best game in history is making its way to the PS5 pro - freaking hell it’s going to be great
It's true, you can't just through a ton of cash at it - there is a lot of development of people, culture, style, skills, experience, creativity and so much that is required.
I’d dive into RDR2 if it had an enhanced version for PS5 pro. We really need a new announcement from Naughty Dog about their new game the have been silent for a while. I’m getting Alan Wake 2 for the pro. Can’t wait to play it. Thanks for the round up.
Because of Jim Ryan, ND basicly just started making their next big single player game. So you'll have to wait a while. Im still waiting for Uncharted 5.
Yeah - many of the Sony PlayStation studios are about 3 years behind after having several liveservice games, and revert back to their original strategy of "single player games, first" But i am hopeful that ND can utilise some of the scraped "multiplayer/liveservice" game and incorporate that into their new game. I would love an Uncharted 5, the whole Uncharted set of games are some of my favorite games , i love that franchise.
Yes this is the whole point of console refresh, the ability to play games at 60fps whilst also having the visuals look 4k without it being too taxing on the console allowing it to focus on keeping the performance and stability of the game high
Thats true - AI upscaled resolution thanks to the PSSR which doesnt tax the console, looks like native 4k (to the naked eye) and allows you to play at 60 FPS.
Yeah the issue is the top hardware struggles on some to achieve 4K/60fps now with retracing or path tracing. PSSR will give a better quality upscale and will ensure future benefits. Trying to double framerates in current games with quality mode will be difficult because you needed basically 2x gpu performance (or +100%) upgrade instead of +45%. So depending on the game will depend on enhancements. Third party AAA titles will always be the test. Sony 1st party always will maximise what it can achieve, but 3rd party make up the bulk of the games. Not easy to achieve what people firstly expect and demand without the understanding what power it actually takes, but we’ve been limited in what’s shown by Sony. Being honest the enhanced games already were some of the best and most are older titles. Tough one to call a poor cpu now paired with a mediocre gpu.
I think time will tell what 3rd party devs can do, those that want to play ray tracing on consoles will opt to get the PS5 PRO, for £700 you can't get raytracing on PC in 4k, so bang for buck the PS5 Pro hits a sweet spot for that price. Sony 1st party will obviously utilise the tech and showcase its capabilities. As i have said on many occasions before, if you want the pro - enjoy, if you dont, enjoy.
Same here, my mate picked this up early this year and i've had a mess around for about 3 hours on the game, I found it really gripping so I am waiting for the Pro and then i will pick this up as well, the Pro features all look really good to for the game.
@BGUKKY yeah definitely it'll be the best way to play it, and if that red dead redemption 2 rumor is true about the enhanced version on the pro that'll be massive
So basically the PS5 Pro (Alan Wake 2) performance mode is better than both Series X and PS5 quality mode. You get similar visuals with better stability, volumetric lighting, fog, shadow details with 60 fps. Wasn't this the whole point of having a mid gen refresh. Plus this is a very demanding game. Look at F1 2024, a generational leap or FF7 Rebirth how much better that looks. Resolution is not the answer, getting a 4k native looking picture is. With upscaling it gives the option to upgrade other assets within the game
Absolutely correct - its better in every way possible on the Pro. If you play on the quality mode you get 30 FPS - with ray tracing and a stable performance. With performance mode you get 60FPS, great visuals (on par with PS5 quality mode), some ray tracing elements, not all, and you get visual which look like 4k (to the naked eye), which essentially is an internal resolution that utilises the AI upscaling features to display what we think is 4k, whilst not taxing the CPU, allowing stability across the game. Its why the DF guys were blown away when they say FF Rebirth on the Pro - actually being played like it was designed to do. I agree, its not about the resolution per say, its about allowing the console to perform so that all aspects of the game look, feel and play better. So the PS5 Pro utilises all of its AI and machine learning capabilities to ensure what you see looks like 4k, it delivers high quality visuals, giving the effects of ray tracing (not full but select elements) and it runs buttery smooth and is very stable. Absolutely what a mid gen refresh is supposed to deliver. Just imagine what the PS6 can do.
Man, I hope the RDR2 rumor comes true. I wanted so bad to replay that game, but the 30fps is a must No for me. November and December has 0 interesting releases, I hope R* releases it in that timeframe.
RDR2 better have a 10$ upgade or something. Bought the game on ps4, but the 30fps limit made it unplayable for me. Been waiting for a ps5 patch to unlock 60fps ever since.
Yeah i'd be happy with that, £10 buck to upgrade to the patched/upgraded version of RDR2 on the PS5 base model and if you get it on the Pro, it unlocks additional features aimed to take advantage of the Pro - that would be brilliant.
Glad I discovered your channel; its content is well presented and informative. I must admit that the channel’s name threw me for a loop, initially - thought it said BUKAKE 😆
Lol, thanks bud, really appreciate it. The channel name kind of just formed over the past couple of years. So glad I decided to rock my PS4 Pro until this PS5 Pro gets delivered. Yeah it might cost extra to throw on that disk drive but there's tons of game stores near me that have a lot of PS5 games used on the cheap already, it is worth it in the long run
Yeah there are always great games you can pick up second hand at great prices. Enjoy your pro - it’s going to be a big step up from the ps4 pro to the ps5 pro but enjoy man
@@BGUKKY yeah these game stores take trade-ins to so sometimes I get the game's basically for free, I hit a garage sale and found an old Sega Genesis with 22 games for $35 and traded that in for some big store credit because the Retro stuff is "cool" now haha, I feel bad they didn't know what they had I think it was their kids old stuff but I'm taking that deal. Literally just got Elden ring for like $17
I picked up some great deals from CEX in the UK, its mainly all 2nd hand tech, gadgets and gaming, and you're right if you trade in older things (old tablets/phones/laptops etc), you can build up store credit (which you get more of), or you can take cash, then when you want to pick up a new/traded in game its practically free if your using your credit.
I agree - although Horizon games have sold around 35 million so far and are clearly enjoyed by lots of gamers, I just think if they commissioned the game to get redone, remade, remastered it will be a huge success - and they can also bolt on multiplayer/live service so that Sony can milk us too if it makes them feel better.
I also run 2 businesses, I can assure you the customer is the no 1 priority, they may not always be 100% right, but you have to treat them like they are
It says Red Dead Redemption PS5/Switch. This is talking about the Red Dead Redemption 1 port that came out several months back. The Switch isn’t getting RDR2. And by PS5 version this is either a typo or just shorthand for the PS4 release that comes with PS5 enhancements. If she worked on a Red Dead 2 port it would have said Red Dead Redemption 2.
It’s a rumour, with a couple of possibilities, from the article: RDR2’s current-gen release has been rumored for a while and was confirmed to be in development at one point by an internal Microsoft document, but it has been reported that Rockstar canceled the port. RDR1 released on the PS4 and Switch last year followed by a 60 FPS patch on the PS5, which makes us wonder if Anderson is referring to RDR2. Worth noting that Anderson’s profile states that she started her current job in June 2023 - just ahead of the PS4/Switch launch and a year after rumors circulated that Rockstar Games canceled RDR2’s current-gen ports. There are two possibilites here: 1. Anderson is referring to RDR1’s PS5 update (there’s no RDR1 PS5 port). It doesn’t make sense to release RDR1 yet again after the 60 FPS patch. 2. Rockstar Games didn’t cancel RDR2 PS5 port/resumed development, and will take advantage of the PS5 Pro. As I say it could be referring to either possibility, however it was rumoured previously that rockstar were working on the update but they quickly shut those rumours down. There is often not smoke without fire - let’s see what happens. 🤞there is a pro enhanced or optimised version on the horizon.
I see why it caught your eye! It's called "Emily in Paris", it was on Netflix, dont know if it still is (i dont game on Netflix), it will probably be available on PC.
I know this wasn't something which i was hoping to ready about, the only thing i would say is that from a shooter perspective, PlayStation doesn't have many IPs, Killzone, Socom and maybe MAG were the best shooters they had, Resistance was okay too. So whilst it may not be Guerrilla Games developing the game, they may still oversee it like they did with Nixxes working on the Horizon remaster. Fingers cross anyway because i loved the Killzone games.
@@BGUKKY I do hope you're right bud. I just fear GG are so down their new rabbit hole of Horizon (ticks all the "right boxes" in todays climate) that they would rather forget about Killzone, so wouldn't want anyone taking it on. I try to not get involved in all this side. A good game is a good game and as you say, we don't have any special shooters at mo on PS. Nice one bud. Keep up the gd work! ;)
Thanks for your comments really appreciate it. I get what your saying, I mean honestly the vast majority of gamers are male, and most want characters they can relate to, generally means characters that are built, tough guys, handsome, or just great dudes, just think Nathan Drake -uncharted, Joel from the last of us, Solid Snake from MGS, Jin Sakai, Arthur Morgan, Kratos, Spider-Man, Batman, Wolverine Etc etc, most of us play games and think of ourselves as these characters shooting, fighting, solving puzzles etc. We don’t see ourselves as pink haired non binary camp lead characters - just the way it is - that’s why some games are really tanking - poor choice in game/character design. Hopefully things change and gaming gets better.
I will riot if Sony somehow cut a deal with rockstar to only release the full next gen update for the pro and release half of the patch to the base one and make it 1080p 60fps or something
If Rockstar does a patch it will be for both versions, the difference is that the Pro version will get better options, like raytracing at 30fps, or maybe slightly higher (possible 40fps depending on how demanding the game is). And on the performance mode you will be able to play it at 60fps, in an upscaled 4k resolution (you won't be able to tell the difference between base 4k and upscaled 4k), this is due to the propriety AI and machine learning technology utilising PSSR to make the game look 4k on the pro. Plus it will run buttery smooth and generally flow better on the pro.
Yes nice one, i am currently playing through it, i am about 35% of the way through, i'm going to complete it and if they do announce the Pro update i'm going straight back in!
Wouldn't Rockstar have to release RDR2 first on the base PS5 with a patch update before pushing it into a PS5 Pro only? I'm no tech guy, but I've heard people say how the developers HAVE to make the game updated as a patch for 60fps and better resolution in order to run well, and how a console like the PS5 Pro can't make the game run at 60fps native 4k?
So long as Rockstar haven't locked the game to 30fps then the game can be boosted on the Pro, like other PS4 games which will run on the PS5, plus the game may visually look better and feel smoother. If the game has a locked 30 fps mode, then the game can not be boosted, it needs the devs (rockstar) to do a little bit of work from their end (unless PlayStation collaborate with devs). This is the problem with Bloodborne, the game is locked at 30fps, so it needs FromSoftware to go back and do some work on it so that we can run it at 60fps. If Rockstar actually physically do some work on RDR2 and optimise elements of the game for the PS5 pro specifically then the game could end up with enhanced visuals, ray tracing elements and other bells and whistles which they would have to tell us about. If the game is just patched for the PS5 base model, it should still get a bump in frames on the PS5 Pro and other boost features. Bottom line, lets hope the game is not locked to 30fps, and lets hope there is a pro enhancement in the works.
I dont know...there were rumours that Rockstar were working on this upgrade for this gen last year before they shut the rumours down, as they say..no smoke without fire...
I kinda have mixed feelings for Alan Wake 2 PS5 pro patch. I like they are going 4K 30FPS for raytracing and a smooth 60FPS. But the whole point for the PS5 pro is 60FPS. I hope they don't put something like that on PS6
You can’t play any game on console with ray tracing. On the pro you can. On performance mode you play at 60fps and the resolution to the naked eye will look 4k, although actually it’s been upscaled by machine learning and AI upscaling PSSR. The whole point of the PS5 pro is to play games better than the PS5 base model. To play games at 4k 60fps even on PC requires a powerful pc with high end gpu, good cpu, probably around 1000-1200 watts of power per hour and it’s going to cost a shed loads of money, the PS5 Pro is the best middle ground and well worth the bang for buck st £700. Alan Wake 2 looks good, can’t wait to jump in when the pro arrives.
Cheers bud, the song is just music/instrumental called "Slow Life", its from the website called bensound.com I always leave the links in my description so the creators of the music get credited (always at the bottom of my TH-cam video description).
As much as i hate live service games, i want to see innovation in them, make them different and maybe people will enjoy them. so far, they are all the bloody same and its why people are just fed up. The other thing is i dont want to pay continuously for game content, and i dont have 10 years to play the same game over and over again, its boring. I much prefer to pay once (unless i want DLC), and enjoy my single player game for 20 - 40 hours give or take and then move on to my next game.
I see allot of clowns downplaying the pro improvements. They fail to see that now you have performance mode that has better fps , better resolution, more graphical enhancements than the fidelity mode on the base consoles. That alone is already a major improvement. But there is also new RT mode in 30fps. There is no RT at all in the base consoles and yet , when they see 30fps all the alarms go off 😂 they think a game like AW2 can run 4k60 with RT on the pro even when a high end gaming pc is struggling with that
Thats spot on - the Pro model allows for us to use RT at 30 FPS with exceptional stability and performance. Whilst the performance mode allows 60fps, 4k output resolution to the naked eye, whilst its actually machine learning and AI which is upscaling a lower internal resolution to give a 4k image, which we wont be able to tell the difference, at the same time delivering elements of ray tracing - not full but things like lighting, volumetric fog/atmosphere etc and it will be buttery smooth. Win win if you ask me. People who are anit-pro dont realise this. Like you say they just see 30FPS and all hell breaks out.
I dont know, depends how taxing the RT features are on the console, i'd like to mess around with it when i get my hands on the Pro, i love 60fps but i like the idea of playing games with RT on, i dont mind a game running at 30fps especially if its single player, its not as if i am a competitive multiplayer.
Kinda disappointing that the ray tracing is only in the 30fps mode. The way sony has promoted the pro, I thought we'd be getting ray tracing in performance mode in most games.
Wait till you see what’s possible in 60 fps mode - most gamers who game on PC spend thousands on a high end pc delivering 4k 60fps, which is very demanding with high powered CPU’s and lots of power consumption. What the pro can deliver at £700 with 60fps and the enhanced visuals (some ray tracing elements) with no additional power consumption vs pc is going to be impressive.
The majority of PCs can't play 4k 60fps, unless you spend thousands on a high end graphics card, high end CPU, power units in excess of 1000 watts per hour, 4k monitor/tv, cooling equipment, it costs thousands. For what you get on the Pro, for £700 - bang for buck it's worth every penny. I dont know what you're expecting for a £700 console. No PC for £700 can deliver the above. On Alan wake you get a solid 30fps with raytracing and 4k resolution, this is the quality mode - no stuttering and buttery smooth gameplay. On the performance mode you get 60fps, some raytracing elements/enhanced visuals, not all, resolution which looks 4k (upscaled from lower internal resolution, done via AI and Machine Learning PSSR tech), and buttery smooth gameplay.
Listen, everyone has different tastes in games/genres. If you dont understand why everyone is "Glase'ing" RDR2 - man you dont know gaming. Red Dead Redemption 2 is literally one of the greatest games ever made, it is flawless. If you dont like it, that's fine, but i am curious as to what games you like and enjoy playing? What is your best game? What do you consider one of the greatest games ever made?
I just asked the same question to @princephillip1481, i want to know what he enjoys playing and considers the greatest game ever? I know we all have different tastes in gaming, but man, if you dont know why RDR2 is the greatest game ever, then...gaming is lost on this person...

Red Dead Redemption 2
Base ps5 should get a dam 60fps patch for rdr2
It desperately needs it - in this day and age i can not believe the greatest game ever made (for me) is still played at 30 fps on the ps4.
Yep - should have had it when the PS5 came out
Alan Wake 2 looks stunning on the PS5 Pro comparisons, definitely worth the purchase
It really is!

Well you better get your molotovs ready.
Good one
If Rockstar does a patch it will be for both versions, the difference is that the Pro version will get better options, like raytracing at 30fps, or maybe slightly higher (possible 40fps depending on how demanding the game is). And on the performance mode you will be able to play it at 60fps, in an upscaled 4k resolution (you won't be able to tell the difference between base 4k and upscaled 4k), this is due to the propriety AI and machine learning technology utilising PSSR to make the game look 4k on the pro. Plus it will run buttery smooth and generally flow better on the pro.
back in 2017 I loved my xbox one X and the 4k hype. Now I can't wait for november 7 to get my ps5 pro!
Welcome aboard buddy, November 7th couldn't come soon enough
Cyberpunk 2077? I can dream 💭
Nothing from CD Projekt Red about an enhanced version so far, every day there are new games being listed as enhanced so maybe in 2025
Im getting my PS5 Pro and if they make a PS5 Pro version ill be down to play it again.
@@BGUKKY Ahhhh I understand now. Thanks so much
I probs bud
I'll buy a PS5 Pro if they make a Bloodborne PS5 enhancement.
Hmmm, don’t think that’s going to happen, need Fromsoftware to do something about that and I don’t think they are going to do anything on that game
That leak is 99.99% for the port of the first Red Dead. So...
What is that song in the background? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cheers bud, the song is just music/instrumental called "Slow Life", its from the website called bensound.com
I always leave the links in my description so the creators of the music get credited (always at the bottom of my TH-cam video description).
Im excited for Naughty Dog next new game
I really hope we get to see some kind of announcement of what Naughty Dog are working on at the Game Awards in December.
I really can’t wait to go and try The Last of Us 2 on the pro, did you see the enhancements confirmed today ?
Yes bud, saw that - another game i am diving into when i find 26 hours in my day.
I hope all the service games floop
@@BGUKKY maybe remedy will be able to pull off 40fps mode with RT 😆
Is Fifa/FC 25 pro enhanced?
I believe there is an EA FC 25 which is Pro enhanced, although for the life of me i can't remember specifically what that was now.
No 4k 60d with ray on alan wake make sense sin it takes a RTX 4080 to make it work. Still i hoped for better for that console price
Why in the HELL people keep glase'ing RDR2....Seriously why?? 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ Btw, i hated that game returned it within a week 1/2.
@@princephillip1481 dude it's one of the best games ever made
Tell me what on Earth do you play that's better than that game
Listen, everyone has different tastes in games/genres. If you dont understand why everyone is "Glase'ing" RDR2 - man you dont know gaming. Red Dead Redemption 2 is literally one of the greatest games ever made, it is flawless. If you dont like it, that's fine, but i am curious as to what games you like and enjoy playing? What is your best game? What do you consider one of the greatest games ever made?
This, 100% agree.
I just asked the same question to @princephillip1481, i want to know what he enjoys playing and considers the greatest game ever? I know we all have different tastes in gaming, but man, if you dont know why RDR2 is the greatest game ever, then...gaming is lost on this person...
stop saying native its a lie
How is it a lie?
It’s uncharted 3 all over again
