His volley , stop volley, backend, forehand and dropshots are very pleasing to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with very high consistency is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, down to earth always easy going with his fans and media. We hardly read or hear ppl say bad things abt him. It is astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1500 plus matches he has played. This shows how much he loves Tennis.. No other player has this effect on public past 50 yrs plus. No wonder he gets so much love, respect and attention from Reporters, players and public.. Even if Novak wins 25 Slams, he can never match talent, skill, charishma, elegance and popularity of Federer. Novak may go down as Goat but Federer is Lion ( king who rules)..👌🏻👌🏻..
Sadly these glorious days may have come to an end. We just must all be grateful for having had the opportunity to witness such a tennis GENIUS at work. I will always consider RF the greatest tennis player I've ever had the privilege to witness.

The shots that are documented in this video need insane talent to pull off. You can't teach those. Roger is just born with such unbelievable talent. So no one else could play such shots whether Rafa, Novak or anybody else.

By far the best controller of a tennis ball ever. He was the diego maradona of tennis. Both were in there sports able to use the ball exactly how they wanted, and it was effortless for them as players. Federer made shots look so easy, and it was just instinct how he played many of them, as they were too quick to think about it.
It is such a treat watching Roger playing tennis 🎾, he’s had a huge influence on me! Watching him hit all kind of beautiful graceful shots is what got me into tennis! He will always be remembered in high esteem
I remember Roger in the beginning of his great career. I cheered for him so loud my family could hear me when they were outside. THEN he won his first tournament, WOW ! I cheered so much I lost my voice for a few days…..it was worth it. What a great and gracious man.

It’s almost as if time is stopped for Federer while he makes the shot, then, by the time it starts again, and the opponent wakes up, it’s already too late, even to start moving. Safe to say nobody hit a better half-volley than Roger. I can hit a decent HV on a recreational level but folks who don't play cannot understand the pace and all the work that is on a pro-level shot to be able to dispatch of those on HV (or even a "regular" groundstroke) is something else when the damn ball is coming at you looking like a warbling egg at 70 mph right.
Half-volleys are so high risk that most coaches don’t even teach them. But with good wrist flick and precise vision on the ball, it can be a powerful shot that instantly breaks your opponent’s spirit.

It's not a half volley when hitting it from the baseline, it is catching the ball on the rise.
