The best shore dive in the state of Florida by far, I have been diving this site on and off for about 20 years and I'm still amazed at the diversity of marine life found there.
Excited to check it out. Leaving the Virgin Islands after 7 years and moving up close to BHB. I’m hoping I won’t miss my dives here as much with great bridge critters.
BHB is legit. Everything from tiny little macro critters to beautiful eagle rays. I wouldn't be suprised if a whale shark came strolling through one day.
I visited BHB for the first time in Sept this year. It truly is an amazing place. I cannot say enough good things about the location. I look forward to my next trip...! Great video!
YEP! We have both species here in the Virgin Islands. I’ve played with them so many times, the long arms love to give handshakes! I’ve also see the ALA mimic algae just like she showed. We had SO MANY this year (2019) I was seeing 5-10 a DAY (including brown-stripe octopus) on the tours I lead. They really are amazing animals.
I spent about 90 minutes in a 6 foot square area looking at all the diversity. I know exactly what you mean montjamz! Every time I focused on something small to capture video, there was another moving object that caught my eye. I could spend days at this dive site moving inches at a time!
Fyi you can dive ANY bridge in south florida that's close to the ocean and they are all awesome. Just go on incoming tide close to high tide. Have a dive flag and beware of boats.

Water so clear for a bridge area unusual.
Why is this place so diver friendly? There are probably hundreds of intercoastal bridges in florida. Why is this place so different or better?
