Gotta tell ya. In the last couple of weeks throughout the country, drivers would have killed to have had shawd instead of just fwd. For 2k more you get superior handling, security and piece of mind. Let’s ask the residents of Texas right now if they wish they were driving a 4xD, AWD or FWD vehicle right now. My RDX with SHAWD blasts through any kind of inclement weather with style.

Wonderfully bright incisive and very informative review. After 4 months of comparing notes with the rest of the competition, I went by my local Acura dealer today and placed an order on the 2021 RDX a/Spec blue exterior/red interior (FWD) love the perks Acura offers in all of their models now. This RDX looks very impressive in person, with its 20-inch shark rings, just beautiful.
@@DownshiftPass I was a little surprised that Acura lots do not have any blue exterior a/Spec on any lot, it's always your typical white and black, and although I got the red interior, I have to have the blue, that's a life keeper. I just got mine-2021 black on black A-Spec about 3 weeks ago! Im new to the Acura family and i loooooove it!!!! It feels cozy and comfortable to drive like a car but is so spacious and jusr the right amount of “SUV-ish” for me! Love all the animation upon entry and leaving...Havent seen any other black on blacks so if you’re in charlotte, its probably me😂 j/k!

I just got the ASpec sh-AWD black on black. You really don't see many of these cars in general. It's supposed to be acuras top seller. But I rarely see them. I've seen the white. But I love the all black. I'm in Phoenix. Red interior. Such a fun car to drive.
Love? That’s probably the first time I’m hearing someone say that! I think that I just tolerate the touchpad. I definitely don’t love or even like it. I truly hope that Acura gives us either buttons or a touchscreen on the next version of the RDX.
WHY did you not test a model with SH-AWD?? I took the top of the line ADVANCE model for a drive and loved the handling of the Super Handling AWD. This feature eats ALL other upscale com[act SUVs for handling in all conditions. But overall i like my 2019 MAZDA CX-5 GT RESERVE (2.5 L. turbo AWD) better for styling and several features, not to mention the lower price and higher quality (per Consumer Reports).
I wish I could've gotten my hands on one, but I couldn't! This FWD model was still a blast to drive!! The CX-5 is quite an impressive car as though, especially the "reserve" trim!!
How do you feel about the brakes? I test drove last week and I feel you have to press down a little more than typical cars to grab a good bite and actually stop. I currently have a 2016 RDX and it’s definitely a noticeable difference as my car is more sensitive on the brakes.
I have a 2020 RDX Advance and it didn't come with remote either. I told them at that price point that was unsat, they threw it in with no charge. They had to order some parts so I had to wait a week or so.
You can use the app to start it. But it is subscription. I had mine installed around $700 and it comes with extra 2 Acura fobs. I believe the advance package comes with remote starter.

Just got mine today and I absolutely love it. I turned in my tlx and its definitely an upgrade for me.

The brakes were responsive enough. Honda/Acuras have always been known for mediocre brakes and this one was no different.
You're right I've had the Rdx 20 and 21 models and felt the same way about the brakes. They definitely could be better!
Don't like how the front seats are designed. They appear to wrap around you, like you're in a straight jacket. The rest looks nice though.

So you have to get the advanced package to get heated seats and steering wheel? Can you get both and advanced package and the Aspec model.
For the newest model year they're switching some packages up, I'd check the Acura site to be certain! On this 2021 though, you could not.
