In this video I will cover the method how to delete Read Only Contacts From android/read Only Contacts Delete
Everybody has some contacts on their android phones. And if you want you can delete them anytime you would like. But on the other hand , many complaints have come about so called read only contacts . As per them , you cannot delete the read only contacts on Android even if you want .
They have also added that if you try deleting a read only contact, you will receive a notification like this contact from r ad only accounts cannot be deleted, but they can be hidden.
So it is clearly implying that you need to hide these Contacts if you don't want to deal with them
⏭️ But lucky for you I have brought, I have several methods that you can use to delete Read Only Contacts on Android and today we are going to cover method 1
🔺The method I will show you is by unlinking the particular application, However based on the android version of your phone , the process would slightly differ so, let's see how it works from Android version 8 to version 9

This did not answer how to delete read only contacts. Even after unlinking, still unable to delete read only contacts

Same problem. Contact does not have a linked contact and still shows as Read Only..

@@Art-of-Innuendo my problem were contacts from messenger. When I removed them from messenger it has been removed also from contacts.

@@camotobe I have managed to delete contact by creating a contact with the same number through Google email account. Linked it to the unwanted contact. For some reason it worked when I unlinked them and deleted the new contact. There must be a glitch with WhatsApp.
