@@TheKingOfSexyness look at the dates - didn’t have the XL at the time. I bought these chairs with my own money and couldn’t afford a third one at the time
@@Ahnestly That may very well be however you included "XL" in your youtube title which creates a certain expectation to see it covered. No biggie though, I'm just someone who's right on the edge of regular and XL and am wondering if XL would be too big for me. That's why I'm searching for reviews.
My hunt for a decent chair began last week or so. Back then it was Iskur vs. Enki vs. Titan Evo 2022 (leatherette vs. soft weave). Today I narrowed it down to one. I cannot describe how incredibly helpful you’ve been. Like, creepily helpful. To the point where I start to have questions about a chair, you seem to release a video answering exactly what I was wondering about. Didn’t know you can read minds, magic man. Thanks again, and you can bet that I’ll be using your link to purchase my chair!
Hahahaha this made me laugh. Glad I could help! I can say of the 13+ people who have come, everyone has really liked the Titan Evo 2022. I'd say 1-2 people liked the Iskur
I'm 5'7, 172lb currently. I got the XL because i love the space it provides. I can sit on it with my feet crossed. Your arms will always reach the arm chair due to the 4-dimension turn and customization of them.
I’m 5’7”/160 lbs with a normal (Not a body builder kind) shoulder width. I just got the Small size and I found it is the perfect size for me. Although I’m actually one inch taller than the official suggested size but thanks to this review I didn’t make the wrong choice!
Im so glad you did this comparison/contrast with friends and their measurements. Makes a world of difference visually. I'm also grateful for your responses to the comments! Thank you 💯
I've recently had the XL chair and it is so perfect! My previous chair was the Vertagear PL6000 which lasted almost 6 years. I'm 6ft 0.5" / 184cm and 16st/224lb / 101kg. There is by far plenty of room in this chair with the arm-rests set at their narrowest position. I've got the chair raised about half an inch / 2cm and my legs can easily touch the ground (I wear trousers with 33-34" inside-leg).
I'm 179cm, and I bought the regular. Actually I didnt realize before that video that the seat depth was different with the Small size. I totally agree, the regular size is a bit too deep. If I would have known that, I would have thought more seriously about the Small size vs the regular... But then Im not sure if my shoulder would have fit, me personally I dont like if I cant have my shoulders totally open in the chair. Conclusion: I think I'm between the 2 sizes actually hahaha ! And agree, this chair is definitely not for short people ! People below 168/170cm: forget it!
@@dimitarvelinov277 do you think for a 1m78 man a xl titan evo 2022 should be good ? I practice musculation and for my shoulder the xl should be perfect ^^
@@assassinz16 , hi, I am also broad shouldered and the Regular size is good for me in this respect. The thing with it is that its seat is a bit long and my knees are almost touching the seat when I sit properly. But you are 4cm taller than me, so I hope you wouldn't have this problem. Just keep in mind that the XL has an even longer seat. I think it is 1cm longer. It might not seem a lot, but it makes a difference. My STRONG advise is to check for a showroom near you and test it yourself before buying. I hope this helped.
Hello ahnestly great videos I purchased the xl 2022 and used your videos to help make my decision. I’m 6’3 and about 310 and it is a super comfortable chair. Only gripe I have is when it’s in the locked position it’s still has a little rocking back and forth. I’ve looked at all your videos and never seen you talk about that. But thanks again for your reviews.
Thank you THANK YOU for including those detailed body measurements!!! I'm surprised this isn't more common in chair reviews! Leg measurements seem especially important with these chairs and their abyssal seat depths... I'm 5'6" and I think I'll pass on the Evo. I like to curl up in my chair and the Titan seems good for that, but when I do want to put my legs down that feeling on the back of my knees is going to drive me insane.
I had this exact experience. Finally someone calling it out. I am 5'8" and I bought the Regular, per SecretLab's sizing guide. I felt like I was being devoured. by the seat. It worked and i could technically find a comfortable position, but it just wasn't practical. I returned it for the Small and thought it felt much better. That being said, I'm returning the chair all together for other reasons.
@@DrR1pper I found the chair too stiff and kind of clunky. I wanted it to be able to kick back and rest my head while I was working, but it turned out to not be great for that. I am using a Steelcase Leap v.2 now and much happier.
6 foot 2, 220 pounds here. I have been playing on one of those Walmart foldable metal party chairs with a small piece of cloth built onto it for “cushion” for about a year now so I’m not much of a chair snob so to say however my back has been suffering these last few months and I figured I’d shop around let me say I appreciate your informative videos and helping me to narrow down my selection ✌🏼
I have the same problem. I am 170cm and bought a regular size. My foot don’t touch the ground and seat is too long so it always touch back of my knee. Used it for 2 weeks and had enough, sold it and bought HM Embody.
In my previous workplace, I tried the XL version of the Titan (2020 model.) So it's only natural to get the same size as it feels comfortable to sleep on even though I'm 5 ft 10". The reason why regular may not fit me is because of my weight, about a kilogrammes and it may not tolerate my weight if I pack a few more kilos.
How many lbs/kg do you weigh if I may ask? I am interested in getting an titan evo, but unsure about the regular/XL as I am 5ft10, and weigh around the 100kg mark
this was the review i needed! i've been considering to buy this chair for a while but i couldn't decide whether i should take the SM or regular size. by the way, i think it would be really cool if you could ask some women to review the chairs, too. there are some factors specific to female body types and it's been near impossible for me to find opinions or answers involving those. i'd volunteer, but i'm afraid i'm too far away
Oh man that would be cool if you were nearby! I’ve been trying to get some of the girls I know to review! But they’re all too camera shy :( if you’re ever in philly though, reach out!! I’m glad it helped…if you decide to purchase, please consider using my links!
I’m in between Small and Regular and your video really helped decide which to buy - I’d be interested to see you do a review of the different footrests out there 👍
I’m 5’10 too and got the XL. I like the extra wiggle room idea. I should be getting it in 2 days. How are you liking the XL since you’ve had the newer model?
I'm 179cm (5'11") but a powerlifter, so 114kg (251lb) and real broad. Your comments about bodybuilder shoulders are exactly about me lol. Can't decide on the XL or Regular, ah. This video is great - gets me much closer to deciding. Thanks!
Great video! Unfortunately, I just found it today, after receiving my Titan Evo 2022 Regular size yesterday. I'm 5'9, and my feet barely touch the floor. I have contacted Secret Lab, and I'm waiting to hear back from them since their website is pretty "clear" about sizing. Thanks again for the review, and let's see if I can exchange my chair for the small one.
Yeah...that's why I made this video! I would say instead of returning it, get a footrest! I think you're at a good cutoff where you'll enjoy the extra space!
Hey, i am 5'7 and 73kg and went for the small chair based on what you recommended. Used your link as well :) Thank you so much for the video, really helped
I used your link and purchased the Titan Evo 2022! I'm so excited for my son I even got a $140 off cuz it's special early Black Friday sale thank you for all your help.
Just used your link to order my regular black soft weave!!! Your video convinced me into buying that over the leatherette. I cannot wait to have such a luxury chair 🙏🏻🙌🏻 Thank you for the great video review & help
I am 5' 7" 150lbs and the regular fits me perfect. Sizing is subjective, and I think the only way to truly find the perfect one for you is to sit in one. Also the part you mention about feet touching the ground is quite confusing, as both chairs do go up and down. I found it odd that the 5' 10" guy said he could barely touch, when me being 3 inches shorter have no problem touching flat at desk height
you're right, sizing is subjective. But that's why I included their measurements so people could see for themselves! Glad it fits you, but just as you're confused, I'm also confused...a few of my 5'10 friends (including Charles from The Blind Guys) mentioned he had trouble touching the ground - same as my wife who's also 5'7!
Bloody brilliant video dude, that i just so happened to find at the right time as am looking to find the right chair to buy, especially with black friday. You are spot on about the SL sizing being ambiguous - without your help i would have gone for a regular with me being 5ft8 but clearly a small is the right way to go - thank you so much. Will def go through your link!
@Ahnestly No worries dude, and thank you for the suggestion to wait until the 14th - sounds like a good day to order, haha ;-) do the affiliate link things still benefit you with me being in the uk?
Thanks for this. I'm 5'7 but on the heavier side, so deciding if I should go the XL for a wider seat. This is the video I was needing to compare how different bodies actually fit in the chairs. Even though you didn't demonstrate the XL it's very clear it will be way too tall/deep for me and not worth it for the few extra centimetres on the seat. Unfortunately don't have anywhere I can try them out first so appreciate this. :)
@@aherrera4801 hey man I realize that this is a year old comment, but I want to try my luck anyways. You're around 5'7 right? I'm 5'8 but on the heavier side but still within specification for regular. Is XL the move?
Great review, very helpful as the 6 foot 1 measurements look like they’ll solve my current issues with the Iskur, gonna replace it with this Titan, thanks for the well put together video!
Dan I absolutely love your chair review videos! I would love to get the soft weave Titan Evo however, I'm a 5ft 5 woman but I have wide hips (and a booty lol) and a longer torso but short legs - I also don't sit on my chair conventionally (I like to cross my legs and sit in all kinds of ways that occupational health would frown at lol!). I'm wondering if it's worth me going for the regular size chair rather than the small for that reason as I don't like to sit with my feet flat on the floor anyway and I like the thought of the deeper seat space. Thank you and keep up the great work! (I also subbed from the first video I watched)
a booty, you say? :-D lolol thanks for the kind words!! You nailed it - if you're predominantly putting your feet up, the regular would be a better fit due to more space within the chair. The lumbar sits pretty much identically on your back!
th-cam.com/video/UJhrKEKpDtM/w-d-xo.html Here's my full review of it! It's a VERY unique chair. Joe Rogan uses it on his podcast and swears by it. I couldn't sit on it all day, but it's great for people who get up, walk around, stand, etc. I personally really like it!
Thank you @Ahnestly for useful guides on this channel, I've watched quite a few videos (for me you're "the" chair reviewer on TH-cam) and decided I want to give gaming chairs one more try so picked up a Titan Evo 2022 Regular using your link. I'm ~183cm/6" tall & ~75kg/165 lbs so fairly slim (perhaps slightly wide shoulders, but only slightly) but my only worry is whether the headpillow will be at a suitable height or not but otherwise I think Regular will be more worth it than XL as I kind of like sitting at a perhaps couple cm lower height than "typically", my current chair I got at the lowest setting of 45cm which is same as the Regular so didn't want to go any higher. My past experience with a gaming chair was with some DXRacer one but hated it so much I had to give up due to the metallic bolsters at the sides limiting the seating position and the sides hugged me a bit much too (therefore I couldn't use a HM Aeron either but I'm not either prepared to go full-out on HM Embody either). At least it looks like you can spread your legs a little in these and I sometimes put one leg over the other etc, I'm like really switching between a lot of various seating positions so typically gaming chairs hasn't been that good fit other than a couple options here and there which has a more flat base. Been using an fairly cheap ergo mesh chair from amazon ~150€ but the problem with these budget chairs from amazon apart from otherwise offering solid comfort vs price ratio is the seat really will sink in after like 1-2 years of use already. That in turn made the lumbar support even in the lowest position too high for me so have had to put an extra cushioning to the base in order to lift me up but now that one is slowly starting to sink in as well and figured it's about time I step up my budget a little bit due to how many hrs I sit everyday. I liked all the adjustability and the now added vertical adjustment of lumbar support to the SL 2022 lineup sold me over on these chairs. I read a lot about creaking issues but my current mesh chair also started creaking quite significantly after a while but as a headphone user it hasn't really bothered me tbh so I could live with a bit creaking if it's otherwise good.
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah that's why i demonstrated what it would look like on different height people - the regular headrest area should fit fine!
did you get a chance to try out the regular yet? let me know if/when u do im also thinking of order this chair, i had my sights on dxracer air but idk this seems more comfortable? but then i hear about the seat being too hard and idk again :(
@@emrys95 No not yet and there's probably lots of orders rn being Black Week n all. I could update here when I do recieve it how it fits me. I'm rather picky even if I'm perhaps not spending so much as I should on a chair so I'm quick at pointing out small details that doesn't work well for me. :p Regarding DXRacer Air I would write that off my list based on that plastic bar alone at the lower-back. I don't know what DXRacer were thinking there, for me instantly when I would see a chair I would be like "no-no-no" that bar has to go. Sure you can sit slightly further ahead and (mostly) avoid having your lower-back resting up against it but what about when the chair wears down? I would definitely have lots of concerns regarding that. Another concern would be the hugeload of plastic junk at the sides which restricts arm movement way too much, already on the Secret Labs chair I'm slightly worried about the protruding sides of the backrest but I think it should be a lot more maneagable vs the DXRacer at least. Also the plastic hard sides at the edge of the seat is a no-go for me with my varying seating position would dig in my legs or feet and create discomfort when I spread out legs or sit crosslegged or whatever. Those aspects wrote me off the DXRacer chair rather instantly based on seeing it. YMMV.
@@RPGWiZaRD EXACTLY what you said is why im also not immediately picking up the dxracer, that and also the lumbar seems to be very subtle idk, i suffer from lower back pain sometimes and want a bigger lumbar. Why did u choose regular over XL btw? Im also worried for the titan that the seat will be too hard and my ass will go numb/stiff when sitting for a lot, i hate it when that happens on chairs.
@@emrys95 I chose Regular based on the testimonial in this video, Yong is even slightly bigger than me and the chair looks to fit him just fine, we seem to have roughly the same kind of body shape although I'm just little bit slimmer/smaller (or cough probably just not as well worked out cough) overall. I also have a preference of lower seating position, I usually set the seating position so legs are roughly strait / very slightest bit so knees point upwards if legs are at 90 degree and I tend to place feet ever so slightly forward instead so not the perfect 90 degree position, my current chair I think had 43cm seating height in the lowest position although I've added now additional memory foam seat so it's more like 44-45cm, anyway I wouldn't want to have much higher seating height than I'm used to and Regular is 45m as opposed to 46m of the XL. Another slight worry regarding going XL would be whether or not the lumbar support would go low enough (or maybe they would be the same), with my experiences for me the lumbar support tends to be unnecessary high up on most of the chairs that I'm typically at the lowest setting and sometimes that is not even low enough for me, on my current chair I even have a slim extra pillow at the very base below the lumbar support, helps with comfort in my case. Yes seat might be a bit stiffer but I don't mind that personally and typically expensier ergo chairs are stiffer in general and in the long run it's appearently good for the body or so they say according to studies anyway. I got used to sit on a totally compressed chair seat when I studied so it felt more like sitting without any cushioning whatsoever so maybe that got me used to stiffer seats. Most people seem to initially think these Secret Labs chairs feel a bit stiff at first but appearently it loosens up some after a week or two of use so I'm not too worried about that personally. The stiffness also means it's not as likely to compress with time. My seat at work is also the same, doesn't compress really at all yet it feels good to me and it hasn't changed at all after years of use and I like that as opposed to these budget seats I'm used to that compresses a lot in already 1-2 years of heavy use.
Hey Dan I stumbled across your channel after researching what chair I should get to use in my new dorm room. I want to say that your videos are incredibly high quality and i was pleasantly surprised finding that out when you only have 30k subs. And your commentary is way too entertaining for mostly talking about chairs all the time. I hope the algorithm blesses you in the near future. I’ve got an old dxracer at home and I’ve realized how awful it is for my back so I was thinking about picking up a titan evo but after browsing opinions on Reddit I went down the rabbit hole of steelcase and Herman miller which led me to your channel. Now I’m having trouble deciding between a titan evo and a “remanufactured” leap v2 from Crandall for $600 (I don’t have a car so I can’t go around looking for a used chair so at least I know what I’ll get from Crandall). I’m 5’9” and skinny with a long torso and I often sit cross legged and in some weird positions . What do you think?
Hm that's a tough one. IMHO, the Leap will be one of the least offensive chairs you can buy, and since you're skinny, I don't think you have to worry about "bottoming out" on the seat pad.
@@Ahnestly yeah and even so I think Crandall adds an extra 3/4 of an inch to the foam seat anyway which would help a good amount. My only concern would be being able to lounge comfortably in the chair when I’m watching a movie or something. In your review you said the leap doesn’t have a very far range to tilt back in, so do you think this would be an issue, at least in comparison to other office chairs?
If you like to lounge, then yeah it is gonna be an issue. Basically anything without head coverage is gonna be an issue. The titan has a pillow which makes it the best of all chairs for lounging. I’ve gotten some DMs lately saying how much they loved the titan evo 2022…my friends liked it and since you can lounge or scooch up into the chair, you can change up your position in the chair if you feel discomfort. Hope this helps! If you get the titan evo 2022, please consider using my link! Helps a lot. I’m supposed to be doing a video with Crandall soon as well…just need to find the time!
Hey Dan! Just wondering, for someone whom is 5’3 and on a petite side, would you suggest getting the secretlab small or Iskur? Or would Herman miller be a better fit? Perhaps, the one deciding point for me is the lumbar support to kick my habit of sitting hunched and also prevent my feet from dangling mid air. Hmm~
Hi Patience! I really think the Herman Miller would be a better fit. With your dimensions, I think it's going to be really really critical your feet are planted on the ground which will help keep you from hunching - think of it this way - if your legs are dangling and you need to get closer to the screen, what do you instinctively do? You hunch to put your face closer because your feet aren't available to help you scooch in. Now if your feet are on the ground, that doesn't mean you won't hunch, but you can use your feet to help move the chair closer to see. Check out my video "Which Herman Miller Gaming Chair is Best for You?" video - you'll see that all 3 should be a great fit for you!! If you do decide to pick one up, please consider using my links as it really helps this channel!
Great video. The one thing I want to know about the Evo chair, and no reviewer says anything about..... Most gaming chairs arm rests don't lower enough to go under the desk so I can use my full arm on the desk. I usually have to remove the arm rest on the right side because I use a big corner desk. That's the only thing I'm worried about for this chair. I'm hoping that they will move out of the way enough that I don't have to remove them.
Thanks your vids have helped a ton. Was disappointed that I can't really afford super high end office chairs but honestly, I've had my DXRacer for 10 years and really just love the fit, rocking, and reclining of these "racing" style chairs. I don't think I'd be able to lounge the way I do in a higher end office chair, kick back and binge youtube or PC game with my controller. Certain sitting positions that just don't look possible in those office chairs. Maybe I'm lying to myself to justify buying one of these but should have my Titan Evo in a few days to tell. Hope the referral links in your description still help you out 2 years later.
I'm 5'6 and I think I'd prefer the regular size, still it's very obvious that all three sizes share the same problem witch is very small height adjustment especially towards the "down" side.
@@Ahnestly I'd much rather believe that differently from the rest of the chair wich seems designed from scratch, albeit the gas piston they are using on the height adjustment seems ordinary and doesn't really match the necessary height profile needed to fit what they designed. Terrible costs cut mistake...
So i am 173cm tall and pretty thin...according to this video i shoudl go for small? But i like to sit crossed legged and have space on the seating area..should i go for regular instead then?
wow man you just saved me from purchasing this because I'm also roughly 5'6. I really want a comfortable mid tier chair with back support and i guess this aint it :(
@@QuantumKayos , my honest opinion is that the back of your knees will be touching the end of the seat and your lower back won't even reach the back of the seat. I like the chair, but I think it's not for shorter people (unfortunate for my GF too).
Hello there! Thank you for this review it really helped a lot xD. I have a question which chair is the one in the midle at the start of the video? I would really appreciate if i can get a response.

Do you agree with Edmund on the preference of the weave fabric over the hybrid leather? Also would you recommend this for someone who's working remotely? I just started a new remote gig and love to play pc games so I'm looking at spending a lot of time in my chair. Trying to figure out if this will work for me or if I should go with something more akin to an office chair. So glad I found your channel btw. Easy subscribe.
Thanks for the sub! And yes, I much prefer the fabric over the pleather. As for spending a lot of time in the chair, i'd say the titan evo 2022 is the most comfortable chair of its style (bucket gaming chair), but if someone were doing longgg stretches of sitting, I'd still recommend a typical office chair. Check out my recommendations here: th-cam.com/video/Q0ONgr9Yz0k/w-d-xo.html
Weird, I'm about 167cm and with the regular, my feet can quite comfortable touch the ground. I don't even need to lower to the lowest setting to do that. I am having trouble with finding a comfortable setting for lumbar support, because I feel like I can't get it to go low enough, so I might switch to a small.
Hi! Love the reviews so far. I live in a tropical country where it's mostly hot so iw as wondering what kind of fabric i should choose. The leatherette one or the softweave?. Thank you!
Hey Dan, (if you see this) so I'm roughly 5'8" - 5'9" but 250 lbs. Which of these chairs should I get considering the weight limit? I know there's a lot of other chairs out there but for gaming I decided to go for the titan because of the different material options as my state gets hot and cold throughout the year. I will say I do have a wider build than normal also for my body type.
I would say you should probably go with the Regular if your legs aren't that much longer than the 5'10 reviewer in this video! I would caution against an XL, but if you end up going for that for more width, you may want to pick up a footrest in case you need more contact with the floor! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link! helps this channel a LOT!
@@J.Sandhu2 I lean in it all the time and I have no fears whatsoever. I had the original titan and it’s still in amazing shape too and I don’t worry about that one either.
I would recommend the evo 2022. You are a bit too heavy for the neue chair mesh. if you wana go with mesh though, recommend the mfavour that you commented on!
Despite all the available review on this chair, I find Ahn video answer my concern the most. Appreciate your video. Love it. Though I still couldn't make up my mind on whether if I should go for a Regular or XL. I am 5"8 and 245-255lbs. Height wise, the regular would be a better fit, but weight wise I feel like the XL will be the better option. This will be my first ergonomic chair, and I have been looking for a chair that can help with my necks/shoulder support issue. Would appreciate your advise.
Ugh hey, your comment somehow got filtered as spam (I hate youtube sometimes) so I just dug it out. I think you are going to be fine on the Regular - my 6' friend in the video is 210 and he didn't have any concerns regarding the weight! If you are OK with your feet dangling, you can get the XL, but recommend you get a really high footrest! If you decide to pick up the chair, please consider using my link! Helps this channel a LOT!
Hi, thank you for the awesome video! It was really helpful. Which one would you recommend leatherette or soft weave of Titan Evo 2022 ? Thank you in advance!
For me, I’m a bigger fan of soft weave. Less hot, less chance of cracking. If you decide to pick up, please consider using my links! Helps the channel a LOT!
This video was very informative, liked and subscribed! I do have a question I'm hoping you could answer. I'm 5'6"+, weigh 200# and have 19" shoulders. I really like the idea of the small for the seat depth and height, but I'm concerned about the narrowness of the small over the regular.
I really don't think youd enjoy the regular because your feet won't hit the ground. I think you'd be fine with the small and make sure to get a foot rest!
Hello! Just found your channel. Very awesome video for most people. Question, I'm 6'4" but I'm slim at undr 170 lbs. Do you think the regular would be too small? I'm between the regular and the XL.
@@Ahnestly I went with the XL after measuring my body a bit more. Sadly I ordered just before your comment so I didn't get to use your link. Subbed though! Keep up the good work 👍
@@gowmw2 How do you like the XL? Is it too wide? I'm 6'6" and 195 and was debating b/w the two sizes. I didn't want the chair to be overly bulky in the room or super wide for my frame. But I was also concerned the Regular wouldn't go high enough.
Just bought a regular evo 22 black soft weave, I used your link, I was going to wait til April 1st but my last chair snapped to I need a new one as quick as I can
Yeah, I agree, most gaming chairs are simply too tall. They could go with smaller / flatter wheels ( I don't know why they don't do that ). Like if you are 5'6, you are probably not 500 pounds. It'd be 100% fine if the wheels could only sustain less weight and you could just replace them or something. :/ Honestly, I don't think there are any gaming chairs that are good for smaller people. Office chairs exist, but they are really hard to find in other countries. Spent my past few days looking for one, and nothing. Wish IKEA did good chairs.
Honestly, my experience is that many gaming chairs are all made too short, or at least they have lacking adjustment options for my size (I am quite tall at 6"4). The headrests only come up to my upper back instead of my actual head, and the gas lifts are usually slightly too short meaning my legs aren't properly positioned at a right angle because of it. I usually have to customise chairs, or get models specifically made for my height, which are sometimes hard to come by. My 5"4 fiancée finds it much easier to purchase chairs than I do.
I've been looking for a good chair for months now and your videos have answered pretty much everything I needed to know about it, but I'm still unsure what size to get I just had to be at the edges of both of the chairs range. I have a feeling the small would probably fit me better, I'm about 171cm basically a tad above 5'7 but I'm quite lightweight at around 54 kg/120 pounds so I was wondering what size you think I should get?
Hey! So I would say you can always go for the regular, but just be prepared to buy a footrest! I have really short legs so that might contribute to why the regular felt as big as it did for me! Hope this helps! Please consider using my link - helps this channel a LOT!
I’ve had some guys swear by it. It really depends on your body type and unfortunately I can’t help you with that. I will say that the chair allows you to change up your position to relieve pressure off your back if you need it, which is something isn’t offered by a lot of chairs!
@@Ahnestly yeah that's why its quite appealing, I very regularly cross one of my legs while the other is normal and it looks like the Titan accommodates that really well
Thanks so much for this! Doesn't sound like either is good for me. I'm 5'8 to 5'9, with shorter legs but wide shoulders. Did you have the chair at the lowest height at the beginning of the video?
Yup both were at lowest setting. If you're set on this chair, you'll want to get a footrest with the regular. If you're open to different chairs, check out this video: th-cam.com/video/Q0ONgr9Yz0k/w-d-xo.html
@@Ahnestly Thanks so much. I have a pretty sweet office chair (looks like a black Titan, but no logos) that just needs some cushioning help on the seat. The frame/lumbar is still holding up. I'm going to try out a memory foam pad and save the $700 to $1400....hopefully lol Thanks again for your excellent videos, and active commenting here. Best Chair reviewer out there!

@@Ahnestly there’s other people who are 6’2 getting regular it’s crazy and hard spending £500 on a chair and not being able to send it back etc or try it in a shop haha! Thanks for the reply, also seen the new razr seat has a great lumbar but seems to have issues maybe.
@@Ahnestlyhey man back in the dilemma! I had an Evo 2022 (XL) then sold it due to circumstances however now stuck again! Tried the Anda Seat in a store and it felt like the posture was a little out, but very tempted to try the Iskur XL or get another Titan Evo XL (fabric this time) such a headache chairs!😮💨
Thanks for this comparison! For my height (172cm) and quite broad shoulders, the Regular should fit. Unfortunately, I'm well over the max weight limit of 130kg for that chair... So now I'm thinking: should I go with the XL size merely for my weight and risk that my feet won't be able to touch the ground, or is the Regular size broad and sturdy enough for me? 🤔
You might be better off with the XL, as the sizes really expand in width, and not as much in height. Also, a footrest is an easy solve for any foot not touching the floor issue (I made a video on footrests, so you can check that out if needed!) If you decide to pick one up, please consider using my links as it helps my channel a LOT!! Thank you!
The thing is, the sizing guide might be more accurate if you assume everyone is one, using the lumbar support and two, has it set to it's max depth. There really should be more information in this regard such as a rough size guide for max depth, mid and none. It still wouldn't be perfect due to different body types and sitting postures but it would offer a pretty helpful bit of extra info, allowing someone on the border or two chairs to say for example- "I'm 5ft 11 largish build and the xl might be better for more room or sturdiness ect, however I have a very small lower back arch or don't like a more aggressive/firm lumbar support so perhaps I should get the large instead as it would probably be more suitable for my preferences. Btw I already got my chair before seeing this but it really is a great and very useful video. For some reason there are very few user experience expecting guides or practical usage scenario analysis'. Another massively overlooked issue in this sector would be various desk reviews and how they actually assimilate with other furniture. The best example would be, armrest fitting under desks whilst both are set to optimal heights (secretlab fail here), if certain aspects of the design get in the way such as metal structure beams on desks either being physically irritating or blocking things like arm rests or certain postures and honest thoughts on the practical usage of products features especially with desks and things like footrests or "holding" devices/ faux storage I guess. Anyway you've earned a sub however little that actually means XD

Thank you for this!! You mentioned that if you’re much less than 5’6 it might be best to look elsewhere. Do you have any recommendations? I’m between 5’2 and 5’3 and it has been such a struggle to find a decent gaming chair that isn’t way too big for me. This Titan ego was one of the smallest ones I’ve been able to find (without a gigantic lumbar pillow).
Hi! Are you set on a gaming style chair? If not, check out my video on “what chat should you buy?” Where I talk about different chairs for different heights at different price ranges
really depends on how you sit! I recently did a video series where I recommend various chairs to people at various heights! Check out Part 1, as that's where I address the shorter folks!
Hi! I recently discovered your channel while searching for a new chair and I have been binge watching all your videos. Your production quality is great and I really appreciate all the content you have been putting out. Subscribed. To my question: I am between 5'9" and 5'10'' tall, 75 kg, medium build. I am thinking of going with the Small Titan Evo 2022 because of the seat depth on the Regular being too long for my liking. Do you think I will be comfortable with the Small or should I just get the Regular as per Secretlab's guidelines? Thank you in advance and have a great week!
Hi! I would say take a hard look at your leg measurement! I measured Edmund’s and yongs legs to help everyone make a better decision! If you find your legs are longer than Edmund’s, you may be OK with a regular. But, if they’re about the same or shorter, the small might be the most appropriate! Also, bc you fall in that in between range, if you opt to go with the regular, you could get a footrest to help get more contact with the ground! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link. Helps this channel a LOT! Thank you!
@@Ahnestly I appreciate the detailed reply! I'm off to get the measuring tape. I will also use the link for making my purchase. Channels like yours deserve the support!
I think 6'3 should really go with an XL! I know the XL is a little pricier, but might be worth it so you have that extra breathing room (also, think of it as paying a fee for winning the height lottery...lol). If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link!
@Ahnestly hey man! been combing thru secretlab review videos trying to decide whether or not to get softweave 2.0 or neo leather on the 2022 model. have a few questions, do you think that leather would crack on me if i don’t have a/c, have you had issues with staining on the softweave, does the leather feel too cold with skin contact, and which material do you feel like you could sleep on best. tysm man, u earned a sub.
If you take care of the leather, it shouldn't crack (they sell some care stuff and make sure to google how to care for PU leather). No issues on softweave but I also don't use it THAT often since I have so many chairs to use! I overall prefer the softweave - no tackiness on me when it gets hot and not as slippery!
Many thanks for this review. I'm 5'6'' and I now know that the SecretLab chair is not for me. Saved me a lot of money! But what chair similar to SecretLab would suit for people my height? I was keen on this chair mainly because the seat doesn't have those wings and I like sitting with my legs crossed at times, so the wings will not work for me. Any suggestions?
I'm 5'11" 170. Thinking of buying the regular sized one for console gaming and guitar playing. With that said can the entire armrests be removed? Also if I was to use this on thicker carpeting would the base still work if I took the wheels off??? I should be able to compensate the difference in height with the height adjustmdent right?
I think the armrest can be removed, but if I remember correctly, it comes with the arms on. Usually with these frames, the arms can be removed. As for the base without wheels...man, I really can't say haha. I want to say yes? But it might be risky...
I just received a Secretlab Titan EVON Titan Leatherette in Black. The box was well padded, instructions were very clear, but what these reviews don’t mention is the formaldehyde like smell from the chair materials. I’m currently airing it out and hopefully the strong nauseating smell will disappear. Overall, the materials are sturdy, good framing, but the lumbar support looks lame. I’ll have to try it out for at least a week or two to determine if it justifies the $580 price tag. Good luck
@@trancevoyagesessions which chair did you get? I’ve had mine over a month ago, the EVO2022 XL works for me. The seat padding was too firm so I ended up ordering a seat cushion from the purple company. What was the issue with your chair? If customer service isn’t returning your call or email, contact your credit card company and file a dispute. Perhaps they sent you a defective chair? Nevertheless, don’t wait, take action immediately. Good luck
Thank you for such detailed video. I'm wondering though, I'm around 170cm and I think I have roughly the same hip to knee size as you (short Asian leg lol). Do you think Regular will work for me if I use a footrest? We don't have small size in our country anymore. Thanks!
what about weight? it seems that the regular is good for my dimensions but I'm a bit heavier than most (combination of sumo physique and being big boned - I'm literally heavier than I look!). what's the max weight a regular can hold comfortably?
Yeah, I wish you actually reviewed the XL too. I'm 6'4" and a lot of leg, I like that the seat back on the XL is longer, but not sure about the width of the seat base
Hey that's reasonable. I purchased one and asked SL to send the other - I figured people could deduce based on what came out. The width shouldn't matter that much except for where the arms lay!
@@Ahnestly Yeah, so I went with the XL... think it was a mistake. Seat itself is great, but the arms are too far apart for me, even at the closest setting. Definitely noticing the extra 2". Could've gotten away with the Regular. Maybe I'll contact SL to see about an exchange.
@@TheAdjit5 Hi! I'm 6'6" and 195 and was debating b/w the two sizes. I didn't want the chair to be overly bulky in the room or super wide for my frame. But I was also concerned the Regular wouldn't go high enough. Do you still have the XL or did you exchange for the Regular? Do you think the Regular height will be sufficient?
@@mailother2 I do still have the XL I put in to return it, but haven't gotten around to taking it apart yet. The height depends, I'm mostly leg, and my torso is a bit more than average. For me the neck pillow is positioned at the lower end of the magnets. The extra 1.5" between the R and XL I don't think makes much of a difference for my case. For my case it's the arm width that is influencing my decision to size down. I did adjust the arms so it's a bit better, but I'm skinny, would be nice to have an extra half inch or so inward on the sides. I just wish I went with the R out of the gate and save myself $70. I might just get a staples chair for $250. There are a lot of nice features about the secret lab chair. So still up for debate
@@TheAdjit5 Thanks, that helps. I've been concerned about the arm width. The XL just seems really wide for my frame. But since the Regular only goes to a max height of 20.5", I was worried that wouldn't be tall enough! But I think 20.5" may just barely be good enough for the height and the regular chair a better size overall.
Hi, thanks for the great review! The measurements and comments help! Would like to ask for your opinion on whether you recommend for someone who's at 5'2" for the small size. Biggest concern is the depth of the seat. 🥲 Too little review on TH-cam on the secret lab chair for people with smaller size 🥲 Yours gives a good details, kudos to you! Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words! As noted in the video, I ahnestly wouldn't recommend the small size to you unless you sit curled up or legs crossed in the chair the majority of the time. Your feet will definitely not touch the ground and can cause circulation issues. They just released the XS, so curious to know exactly who that can fit
@@Ahnestly Right, I give up on the Small Titan and Omega too, after seriously considering the depth of seat. The XS maybe either for petite, or kids 😆 Omg, they still haven't released in Malaysia so I never see the spec for XXS. Just saw it on SG site, looks like it will fit the petite!
@@kwanyenong3750 , I would advise to skip the Small or Regular Titan Evo 2022. The seat of Regular (for Small is the same height!) is way too high from the ground for me (174cm tall). My girlfriend's (162cm) feet are several cm above ground with this chair. Not to mention - waaay too deep.
@@kwanyenong3750 I am 163 cm, I was thinking about getting the small size but the XXS is released. I have a feeling that's more for kids tho.. pff it sucks being little ;p
Thanks for the video. I'm 6 foot tall, but I have shorter legs and a longer torso, so the leg measurements are very important to me. How do you measure the knee to heel measurement. Do you sit or stand when taking the measurement? Do you measure from the floor (heel) to bottom of the kneecap, the back of the knee, or the top of the kneecap? Thank you very much for clearing up my confusion.

Hello Dan, great review. I am going to get the chair coming Black Friday. But a little bit confused about what size to get. I am 5'4''. About 175 pounds. A little bit on the wider side. The thing is i barely seat on my chair with both feet on the floor. Usually sitting on the chair with both feet up ont he chair cross legged, or maybe sitting on one feet.
I am 174, I bought the Regular size chair (guess why I am watching this video now...) and it it too high and too deep for me.

Just keep in mind that the XL has an even longer seat. I think it is 1cm longer. It might not seem a lot, but it makes a difference.
All chairs have a slight rock back and forth unfortunately!
Gotta get a wide seat bottom with soft edges. Embody, neue, gesture, leap are all good fits! I’ve reviewed all of them, in case you’re curious!
Good to hear my findings are being validated!
Hi Cold-brew. If you don't mind me asking, what were the other reasons? Thanks!
@@DrR1pper I found the chair too stiff and kind of clunky. I wanted it to be able to kick back and rest my head while I was working, but it turned out to not be great for that. I am using a Steelcase Leap v.2 now and much happier.
6 foot 2, 220 pounds here.
The regular is good for up to 100kg..

Here's my full review of it!
This video helped a lot! Thanks for being so detailed regarding both chairs
Love your honesty and your video quality! Deff a instant sub for me!
thank you! p.s. you spelled ahnesty wrong!
This was super helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Superb review, outstanding channel! Subscribed
Thank you!!!
@@Ahnestly thanks for the help! I’ll deliberate some more and definitely use your link if I pick up a titan.
I don’t know how low you need them to be, but i’d say they are 18/20cm above the side part of the seat when put at the minimum high
great indepth testings for the awesome chairs. Kudos to your effort
Thanks man!!! Hope it helped! Please consider using my links - helps a lot!!!
The chairs sit much higher than usual - partly due to the fact that the seat itself is so thick!
@@Ahnestly I'd much rather believe that differently from the rest of the chair wich seems designed from scratch, albeit the gas piston they are using on the height adjustment seems ordinary and doesn't really match the necessary height profile needed to fit what they designed.
Terrible costs cut mistake...
Thanks for making a review for the short kings! This really helped me decide on which size to buy. #subscribed

Very thorough review, thank you.
Thanks!!
So i am 173cm tall and pretty thin...according to this video i shoudl go for small? But i like to sit crossed legged and have space on the seating area..should i go for regular instead then?
You should be ok if you get a footrest!
wow man you just saved me from purchasing this because I'm also roughly 5'6. I really want a comfortable mid tier chair with back support and i guess this aint it :(
Glad I could help!
I am 174 and I tell you, man, it is good you didn't purchase it. Even the small size. Forget it! I am returning mine.
I’m even shorter and i can’t find anything to beat the price and back support. I’m stumped on what to get 🥲 I’m tempted to just go for it anyways

@@Ahnestly Word, preciate it 🙏
Weird, I'm about 167cm and with the regular, my feet can quite comfortable touch the ground. I don't even need to lower to the lowest setting to do that. I am having trouble with finding a comfortable setting for lumbar support, because I feel like I can't get it to go low enough, so I might switch to a small.
Ya got legs for daaaaaaays, take it to the runway!
Hi! Love the reviews so far. I live in a tropical country where it's mostly hot so iw as wondering what kind of fabric i should choose. The leatherette one or the softweave?. Thank you!
Highly recommend the soft weave!! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link! Helps the channel a lot!!!
@@Ahnestly as much as I would like to go with the regular, I'm only concerned about the weight limit that's on it since I weigh 250
I’m a .2%. And I’ve had the og secret lab titan and now the 2022 xl titan and they are both amazing and I’m 6’0 and over 250. They both are great
nice!!
hows leaning for you? My fear is being like 230 and 6 2 is the base would crack or make scary noises
@@J.Sandhu2 I lean in it all the time and I have no fears whatsoever. I had the original titan and it’s still in amazing shape too and I don’t worry about that one either.

Titan evo 2020 or Neuechair? I'm 177cm 79kg athletic body type. Honestly can't decide myself.
I would recommend the evo 2022. You are a bit too heavy for the neue chair mesh. if you wana go with mesh though, recommend the mfavour that you commented on!
What color is that on your wall? I like it.

Insanely good videos bro.
Dudeee thank you so much for the kind words!!

I would def go the XL route! Hope this helps! If you decide to pick up, please consder using my link. If not, that's cool too :-)
@@Ahnestly I went with the XL after measuring my body a bit more.
Just bought a regular evo 22 black soft weave, I used your link, I was going to wait til April 1st but my last chair snapped to I need a new one as quick as I can
Really appreciate the support!!! Hope you love it!
Just tried the Omega (leather) on my office.
Too hard.
Wanna buy the Titan softweave.
I hope it works!!!
Awesome video btw!! Love your style!
@@Ahnestly Thanks man, will do, do you think the titan would be ok for sitting on 8 hours+.
I'm going to try out a memory foam pad and save the $700 to $1400....hopefully lol

Thank you!
Thanks, you just saved me my money, i'm 5'3 hence im not getting neither small nor regular.

Hi! I would say take a hard look at your leg measurement! I measured Edmund’s and yongs legs to help everyone make a better decision! If you find your legs are longer than Edmund’s, you may be OK with a regular. But, if they’re about the same or shorter, the small might be the most appropriate!
Very helpful, thanks!
Many thanks for this review. I'm 5'6'' and I now know that the SecretLab chair is not for me. Saved me a lot of money! But what chair similar to SecretLab would suit for people my height? Wow where did you find a 6’1 Asian guy that dedication is impressive.
Hahaha he's a good friend. We have another channel called The Blind Guys. Check us out...we're kind funny :-D
@@Ahnestly haha thanks for being a good sport
Thanks!
what about weight? it seems that the regular is good for my dimensions but I'm a bit heavier than most (combination of sumo physique and being big boned - I'm literally heavier than I look!). what's the max weight a regular can hold comfortably?
daleyeah ol son! keep up the good work!
Hi. Which secretlab chair is the white one? Is that ash? Leather? Weave?
It’s the Ash! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my links! Helps the channel a lot!
The XS maybe either for petite, or kids 😆
Omg, they still haven't released in Malaysia so I never see the spec for XXS.
@@dimitarvelinov277 Right! Thanks for the suggestion!!
Hey Brian! I measured from the side of the leg, from floor to mid kneecap! Hope this helps! If you’re worried, you can always get a footrest! If you decide to pull the trigger, please consider using my link, BUT wait til April 1. Secret lab is running a sale starting April 1!!
@@Ahnestly Is this confirmed, I was literally about to buy it :D.
Yessir :) wait til tomorrow! Please don’t forget to use my link. Helps a lot!
@@Ahnestly I will for sure
Hello Dan, great review. I am going to get the chair coming Black Friday. But a little bit confused about what size to get. I am 5'4''. About 175 pounds. A little bit on the wider side. The thing is i barely seat on my chair with both feet on the floor. Usually sitting on the chair with both feet up ont he chair cross legged, or maybe sitting on one feet. If i get the small size will that have enough room for me to move around inside the chair, or seat comfortably with my legs up on the chair ? Please give your kind opinion. Thanks in advance. Will make aure i am using your affiliate link with secret lab.
Yeah it will have enough room for sure, but if you like having a little extra wiggle room, the regular might not be too bad because the lumbar sits in the same place!
