Great insight! I especially like your analysis on the open tryouts in the US. I recently tried out at one of these events and it was a great experience. However your point about experience and chemistry is absolutely correct! I was making give and go runs all day long and I never received the ball back after darting down the wing countless times. I hoped that the coaches would at least notice the intelligent movement and intent but it wasn't meant to be... Will try one last time next year with slightly different tactics. Maybe I'll keep hold of the ball next time. Thanks for the tips!

Glad it’s helpful mate, I don’t consider myself a content creator either, I’ve been helping players improve and now have the opportunity to use TH-cam as a platform to reach more players 👍 My advice would be to look up teams in your area using google, and most club websites will have an email address on their site. That’s had good results for me in the past 👍

Wooow it's a lot more easy todo get a semi professional team in the US than in Mexico, where i'm from, In my experience lots of mexican teams look up for the money instead of the player, that's really sad, however i has the oportunity to played at a semi pro level and it's really awsome, I think i would had a longer carrer if i would go to the US, great video bro!!!
I myself have actually tried out for two different pro teams. The Atlanta United 2 & the Birmingham legion. Both who play in the USL. Both tryouts were a 3 day trial & I made it to the last day for both of them. Exactly like Michael said in the video, in an open trial there's ppl of all skill level in attendance. When I went to try out for the legion, on the first day it was about 95 ppl at the tryout. 30 were college players while the rest were amateurs players. And by amateurs I mean someone who isn't currently playing college, semi pro or professional, which is what I was & still am. It seems even though I'm an "amateur" player I was better than the majority of the ppl trying out. As I was able to make it to the third & final day. On the third day, that number got cut drastically from 95 down to 14. It was me & 13 other college players. Now the majority of the college players on the third day were D2 with some being D1. And as far as I know, not one of us got signed to the Legion. Even though in my opinion, everyone on the third day was without a doubt a skilled player. But once again as Michael said or even as become elite said these teams holding the open tryouts don't actually have to sign anyone. And truthfully I'm sure plenty of teams do it as a way just to make extra money. Open tryouts can be a very good thing for aspiring soccer players but at the same time there definitely not without cons.

Had gone for tryouts as a right back for a league on turf yesterday: Lessons learnt: 1: Be composed and relaxed. Do not put pressure on yourself 2: I had not got turf shoes. So had to wear spare shoes which the ground staff provided. The shoes were almost flat so I was like skating. Carry your own shoes, clothes, etc. which you are comfortable in with or without the ball. 3: I am decent at dribbling but did not dribble even once yesterday. I should have tried out to dribble atleast once. 4: Decide a position you will be playing and take control of that position. 5: I did not play tough. Play tough but not rough. 6: I should have played and practiced with the ball on the tryout turf more before the tryouts. 7: I let the opposite teams player too much freedom and was too casual in one play. This allowed him to take a shot. Do not underestimate the opposite player. 8: I ensured that I keeper an arms length from the player rather than commit because catching up would be difficult. 9: I should have tried to read the game, look around without the ball to see my teams players and other teams players. So I know what action to take once I get the ball 10: I did not go in open spaces to ask for the ball. 11: Be confident that you are a good player.
