Just got selected for a team, my advice is don’t try to do the fancy stuff, keep things simple because u never know maybe they just won’t pick someone who always wants the ball, even when u don’t get the ball, make good runs and try control the game by giving instructions
I agree that you need to do the fundamentals right, but if your natural playstyle is "fancy", DO NOT change your playstyle for trials. Just be yourself. If you regularly use tricks and flicks and stepovers to get past your opponents, do that! If you don't regularly do it, just play the way you always do! I got picked up by a team once by the older team than the one i tried out for, after the tryout i was just messing around with the ball i rememeber what i was doing to just alot of fast bursty ground moves but i was warmed up from a tryout so my touch and everything was on point, i was juggling brielfy then popping up balls and catching them and sometimes 1 timeing them, i just happend to be flexing and messing around. I ended up making both teams, but i went and played for the older squad for the experience, and it was worth it, but they would of never noticed me if i wasnt messing around alone after the tryout, practicing by my self some extra. They were impressed, by my skills touch everything, and i went on to win out of state tournaments with that team, and it made me a better player, i was playing with kids 1-2 grades older than me. Keep it simple yes, but lean toward ur strengths, and show commitment, even after the tryout or practice is ended.
My best advice during a trial would be that , when you play with an unknown team firstly before the match begins call everyone to you and ask them to introduce (just say their names) to everyone so that anyone can call them during the game. This will also create a good Image in the scout
I went on a 6 week trial program for a development squad (they don’t often play matches, but when they do, they play academies like Leicester city and end in like 1-1 results) and after 2 weeks I think it was, they said I was good enough and signed me! This is a massive step in the next direction, since the level of play is very high and I have a much higher chance of getting scouted, so I’m really happy lol

No.. Not at all... In fact most of the coach wouldnt even judge you by your ball controll, shooting or passing ( cuz most of the people are already good at those ). They judge you by your positioning without the ball and your football iq.. So all you gotta do is play smart and make the right decision
@@DanevisualI disagree, coach’s look at your technique and potential rather then your footballing iq because that can always be taught while technique takes hard work. If your over 15 then yes footballing iq and positioning matter s’more but technique is always important

I participated in a trial in America where there were multiple scouts for teams in the Netherlands. I signed up for the trial about half a year before they actually were going to happen. In between the time I signed up and the trial starting, I injured my ankle. A pretty bad sprain that tore my tendon away from the bone. It still doesn't stay in place. I still went to the trial, and I did so bad. I could barely stand, much less run, and I consider myself to be a winger. Of course I wasn't scouted.
@@ralphmuhle Trials aren't free. $500 down the drain. A lot of the times, the trials happen and none of the players get scouted. Most countries should have some sort of system where you can get a trial somewhere for some club. They might not be government run, but a lot of clubs do have branches in other countries.
have given 4 trials till now got selected in 3 of them its mostly about your mindset and be disciplined for the trial duration and play your natural game.

Express yourself and fight for it.
I see lots of people take a shot but the goalkeeper saves it, they just stand there and don't try to get the ball.
I also see a lot of defenders do something but fail then just stand there when they can have a lot of chances of getting the ball off the striker.
I have tryouts for Real Madrid Foundation tmrw. Hope this helps!
I did a trial in 11/04/20 and I did well and I'm in a small swiss league

5 mistakes when trying to curve a soccer ball
My friend would need a vid about that 😂
1) Keep ankle locked.
2) Turn your hips.

I've never played for an academy...Does that matter when it comes to trials?
No
yoo same never played in a club team where i have to pay to play with the team and i still have a trail june
Nope
It doesn’t matter I came from a recreational team and decided to step up the intensity and now I have a good chance to do well in trials
No bro, it jus depends on how good u are on the pitch
My trials starts in 4 days and am ready. Thanks to ur video

Lol a scout watches this and makes another yt video titled players scouts should watch out for
2:29 - Is that Virgil Van Dijk on the left there?
I most play by myself so it's hard to play in a competitive setting
Was waiting this video for a long time and watching this video at the beginning of the year made my year🥰
Thank you for this video i am from Singapore and my football trials for an academy is tomorrow so hopefully I'll get selected
Does a coach judge a player by how well they performed doing drills?
No.. Not at all... In fact most of the coach wouldnt even judge you by your ball controll, shooting or passing ( cuz most of the people are already good at those ). They judge you by your positioning without the ball and your football iq.. So all you gotta do is play smart and make the right decision
@@Danevisual thanks 👊
well done
@@DanevisualI disagree, coach’s look at your technique and potential rather then your footballing iq because that can always be taught while technique takes hard work. If your over 15 then yes footballing iq and positioning matter s’more but technique is always important
@@cityfantv-everythingmancit2946 no IQ cants really be taught well it can but to a limit while technique is pretty easy controlling the ball shooting and long passing are easy vision and things like these are much harder
Of course I wasn't scouted.
oof
Sorry man you should still be happy you managed to get a trial I on the other hand lack of resources and support from where I live be grateful
@@ralphmuhle Trials aren't free.
$500 down the drain. A lot of the times, the trials happen and none of the players get scouted.
Most countries should have some sort of system where you can get a trial somewhere for some club. They might not be government run, but a lot of clubs do have branches in other countries.

Thanks for the advice Unisport I got trials coming up on the 11th and 14 of October and for a club I got rejected from last year and I’ve been training really hard ever since.
Thank you for this,I'm bound for try outs soon so thanks

hi guys, i wanted to ask you if you have any advice for me because i will have to switch from 5 to 11 next year! Thank you!👋⚽️
Just make sure you have high endurance and a respectful personality, it’ll go a long way
Also, if you don’t run for like 2-3 days, it’ll really backfire. Keep moving and running, even if it’s only a half mile.
I always get nervous and overthink when I’m in tryouts I overthink when the balls coming to me or when I’m about shoot or pass the ball it always goes out of target and I miss 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
omg me too especially the night before and i overthink about literally myself
I’m gunna do what I love, right now that thing is football. Doesn’t matter if I suck, I’ll get better and so will you.
Thanks unisport for posting this video cause tomorrow is my tryouts , and lets hope i get selected
