    I think the best solution to the cas problem is not only increasing sp costs but also doubling rp rewards for plane kills for spaa. The rewards right now are abysmal

      Reward should be atleast as high as a tank kill. Realisticly it should be higher since its harder and theyre less commkn to encounter than tanks. Grinding SPAA like the m163 takes forever since you have to just wait for planes to show up.

      @@robertharris6092 and its even worse at top tier with some aircrafts not showing up on radar before they already sent a bomb/missile at you, and when you shoot them down you get 30% of your stock repair cost, thats just discouraging for the few that bother taking spaas

      Pretty sure air kill rewards arealready Buffet
      But as an spam you simply don't get as much kills/assist/caps as a normal tank
      So one kill ernst you more, but you only get a Fraktion of the action

    Gaijin actually made an event in enlisted that was basically ground EC,despite having infantry,the map was so big that ppl were only using tanks and planes and felt like a big wt ground ec

      @alexturnbackthearmy1907 Yup wayyy before,there wasnt neither APCs or airborn units only the basic units tho it had random trucks on the map but it could only carry the driver and 1 passenger and since was based on hardcore mode it had no bots and also was still 50x50 PVP and was aways full

      It's almost as if free to play players are meant to pad player count and fill lower br's. The game economy will never be made in a way where playing for free is desirable it's the opposite of their business model.

      I don’t think it feel that long, it depends on the nation and the br some are less fun to play than other, but when you find a good one you are really enjoying the game. And everyone want to go to top tier, but i have some exp in that game and i can tell that the more fun i get is when i start a new tech tree

    Several years ago phly daily showcased a community game mode with objectives A through F, airfields and shipyards to capture which would let you spawn planes and big ships. It looked super interesting but I think the project died. Would be nice to see something like that in WT

    The sad thing about coastal is that the low BR coastal vs. coastal matches are so much fun, load of little boats zipping about bipping each other. Then destroyers turn up and it all changes to bluewater and you can only use coastal for early point captures.

      I *love* coastal. I want a coastal only mode, honestly, although I wish people liked it / would play it. Low tier coastal is still the favorite mode for the friends I play with.
      It'd be cool to have like...a river delta. Or even like a map with an island that coastal could get into and mess around with each other, while blue water has to go around the edges.
      But add in *good* ai defenses such that the coastal boats would really need bombardment from the bluewaters to surive. Maybe make it so coastal players could "scout" or mark ground targets to give the bluewater folks the aim points for things they couldn't actually see. Get people to learn to use their over/under estimates as well.

    I hate how the artillery been added. This things must be away from frontline, like 15-40+km and now we see M44 rolling around frontline with tanks and shooting direct fire 155mm shells.

    Was in a lobby recently of people who grinded for top tier and those who bought into it.
    They all agreed the game would improve (from 2.7-8.7)significantly if there was a tanks only mode.
    The GRB is just a constant revenge kill fest, from getting one tapped by Russian anti tank planes to being beamed by a missile from literal orbit by some dude in a jet.
    Game isn't fun when GRB is suddenly arb

      I agree,I am saying that for quite a long time that if there would be ground forces only game mode, game experience would be much more fun, better and much less frustrating. Its actually one of the main reasons I rage quit inside the game and because of that I have a lot of breaks from playing the game (last session I played only like two weeks inside of War Thunder and I have 2 months break already).

      That would just induce teamkilling so a slot becomes available.
      I'm a passionate CAS player, but it is too cheap to spawn in. Currently i spawn in a Boxer in top tier Germany, spot 1,2 or 3 enemies and if the die, i can allready spawn in a fully loades Eurofighter. I had matches where i could spawn it in the first 2 minutes for like 450-500 SP. That's too cheap and too fast, even though i love playing CAS and CAP.

      this is definitely true, math behind conversion should be increased at minimum 5x because it takes you more than a year to have a perfected crew which is too long for such a important thing

    For ground EC, the simply solution is to add a shit ton of AI SPAA. Until your team hunts down these units and destroys them, cas would not be able to operate. Maybe make it available once you complete a certain objective

      When ground forces first came in the ground maps were surrounded by AAA these were stupid accurate to the point you couldn't get a bomber near the ground zone and they spawned super high at the time. Each map though did have 3 bomber tragets though their health was stupid high, but a single base could take a good chunk of points away. I won a few games where my side was losing but the opposing side was just under the point total that a single base would win us the game. That's what ground EC should be, maps with a few rivers deep enough for PT boats to float, while air gets multiple ground targets to hit. It's too bad the cod brains can't go 20 seconds without someone doing something.

      Spawn camping is a non issue in literally every other game. We don’t need bandaid fixes, we need a fundamental redesign of how the game mode works.

      @@catfunt5583 that would involve changing the base function of warthunder. Any CTF mode based game ultimately lands on base/spawn camping to win unless the other side is fast enough to win without it. Even Battlefield is that way. Making maps bigger should be a detriment but even in games like the Isle you get players that will camp routes to various areas (often out of spawns/starter areas) just for lols.

      Just to add that's why CAS is a thing it's able to be a direct counter play to spawn campers especially on larger maps. One thing Gaijin never bothered with that you at least see on Naval EC is protected bases with emplacements that engage players who get too close. The problem is you then get people who will cheese the defenses and just not engage.

    I feel like fixing the spawns by simply adding a minimum of 3 spawn points per side could be accomplished in like 6 hours of work for a dev. Legit crazy this isn't fixed. I think fixing CAS/SPAA is one simple solution: you should have a stationary anti-aircraft battery somewhere just beyond the normal in game map that any player can switch to from their tank (this feature already exists in game and has been used for special events). There should be maybe 3 or 4 batteries of AA guns, I think a great way to handle this would be a large AA cannon per battery, two or three smaller AA guns (like 40mm/23mm), and then 5x .50 cal, and either a lookout (search lights) or radar station. Short range missiles and long range missiles in higher BR. CAS should be able to attack these anti-aircraft batteries, which reduces their capabilities and prioritizes bombing targets outside the tank battlefield. This could be a neat feature where in-game automatic artillery is there, and a team loses artillery for 2 minutes. This would really help with needing to add HARM/anti-radar missiles into the game. And vehicles like attack helicopters and modern jets with lots of bombs suddenly have a lot of new targets. Ideally these would be controlled like tail guns, there's a bot to automatically shoot, but a human player can take over and do a better job. We could also have it set up where if you run low on spawn points you can still opt to switch to control an AA gun.

    What not have naval like the old air EC with actual objectives? Say one team has to defend a convoy of landing craft who are going to take an island and to do shore bombardment, the other team has to take out the landing craft and protect the island. that at least would be interesting. Defend the carriers, defend the supply ships, something other than just a deathmatch on a boring circle.

      Its already is a thing - naval EC in event tab. And much more then single objective as well, you can even win the game by bombing airfields and achieving similar air tasks (like air superiority in one sector, intercepting bombers/attackers/recon, attacking enemy ground targets even from the sea with your main caliber...)

    I would love better game modes like you suggested at 7:28. The crazy thing is they already did it in naval EC! (ie: naval bombardment, larger maps sinking carriers and convoys for points, etc).Why not at least make a smaller scale version for regular matches?
    I also genuinely think the capture point modes in naval do not work AT ALL. If I try to cap in say an American battleship, I will get detonated easily by another ship, especially one better at close range as cqc is a death match for such ships.
    The thing I hate is if Gaijin is unwilling to make changes to game modes with their most popular vehicle type, how can we hope they will change the game mode for Naval?

    11:24 I would love a multiple role game mode. Were all 3 was on the same map. With AI for some ships and planes. But you get points from tanks and than be able to play ships or planes. Where ships can basically be Artillery at long ranges. Lets say 10 to 25km ranges. Where players can mark an area and get a "mission" if you respond to it you get SP and SL as well as kill rewards and other objectives. Air will have both roles of destroying ships and tanks. I think 24 to 32 players would be best for this game mode! What are your guys thoughts?

      It's not cure problem fully, if it low br's-probably, but on higher br's.... For example, conditional F15E just gonna take his 20 GBU39 and annihilate all campers and possible AI units

    One of my major gripes is being uptiered most of the time. I would love it if they gave you the option to select 0.3 or 0.7 along with the original -/+ 1 br range, even if it meant waiting a bit longer for a match.

    I really hope they are going to give Naval more attention the coming year. its currently the forgotten child of all game modes. While having the most potential out of all of them when it comes to new content. Especially the damage model needs to be fixed.

    Very easy way to fix CAS :
    - Max 3 planes/heli up per team simultaniously.
    - 1 Air spawn per player per battle.

      I had a similar idea back when Dollar did "return of the rocket-man", for having a max of four aircraft per team. During that episode he used the BM-31-12 in Berlin to shoot to the enemy spawn. Earlier the same day or the day before, someone did that and got at least two kills I think, and instantly spawned a Pe-8. So maybe make heavy bombers have a bit extra SP cost, and especially high for the FAB-5000 and 12,000 lb bomb.

    What i would like to see is naval and ground arcade to have the same spawn amount as air where you can use every crew and vehicle you take to the fight instead of only getting to pick 3 of them. This way battles could be longer more intense and make spading vehicles easier

    I totally agree with this ideas. A ground match with diferent objectives, IA enemies and friendlys and a big map, just like air battles, could be so much fun. I dont care if that battle takes a lot of time, could be a mode appart. Like an Operation in Battlefield 1. With the grind too, I usually dont play high BR because modules are 22k research points, just for a tiny improvement.

    I would love to play Naval, but I'm stuck at the change from destroyers to Cruisers, getting hammered by heavy cruisers and ratty destroyers shooting for over all the obstacles because of the poor spotting mechanics. For ground, I would love to use artillery as actual artillery. Maybe you could set a location on the map and it would have to be range found, (so you don't just spawn and revenge kill), I also think that scout drone should be given to SPAA's also. Even if you can't return them, them could assist by giving intel, and not have all the cool mechanics stuck with the light tanks.

    -5 for Ground Battles: Simulated Battle Rework, to be more like the other simulationmode. A battlefrontmode that goes multiple hours on very big map (50-100km) with unlimited spawns. Objectives like capture/defend that town and destroy/protect convoy/SPAA. The match ends if times run out or one team captured most of the map (Rushmode in Battlefield works similar).

    The main problem will always remain aka the absurd grind, they have to make it as hard and long as possible to make you stay and/or give up and pay prenium, then same thing until even prenium grind is too long and you give up to buy gold and prenium vehicles etc. Gaijin mastered that art of free2play but pay2grind sadly

    You should work at Gaijin HQ. I 100% agree with your proposals, especially with Spawn "Line" and Artillery actually beeing used as such. Much more realistic and fun and I mean you can still play these Artillery Vehicles as SPGs like we do now. Ground EC mode would also be fun for people who want more immersive Gameplay but dont want the Simulator Controls and the long Queues.

    If they don't want to put in the effort to make us a ground EC mode, a Sim world war mode would be something they could add tomorrow if they wanted to. It would be a step in the right direction for more fun and a better ground sim mode.

    back when naval first came out a lot of warthunder creators did things like create full missions, goto a then b then c and the map got larger as points where captured as a break out type of game mode then there is convoy missions or expanding map battle missions we used to have a.i fortifications but they never worked right and i think we could capture them or capture ports (spawns) there is a lot they can do but put minimal effort into naval its like they have 1-2 people working on it at first now we have only maintenance crews keeping it on life support while modelers and coders spam out new cool things that dont work or work to well because they are operating on "old rules" much like the heli game mode

    Dollar is one of the few, if not the only major War Thunder content creator who actually cares about the naval mode. Gaijin, even if it's impossible to implement some of the changes mentioned, listen to this guy. This is a really important and valuable feedback.

    Coastal top tiers could have guided torpedoes like irl, so they'll actually stand a chance against destroyers and cruisers, but now they only can cap points and brutally kill players who were dumb enough to bring reserve boats to 4.3.
    It's also worth mentioning that plane-ship confrontation is very dumb, bot AA in 90% of cases will demolish every plane coming at your ship, so planes are only doing kamikaze attacks or (only in arcade) climb to 5 km to drop bombs now and then. I propose adding some sort of bot waves attacking the chosen ship, so: 1) it'll be realistic; 2) players can sneak in while AA is busy with other planes; 3) this will make the addition of aircraft carriers much more reasonable, since bots will spawn and return to them, and players can try to destroy carriers to remove the threat from plane hordes.

    I agree with everything you said about naval but honestly my biggest annoyance is when people sit behind a rock or shoreline or island and just snipe you out of spawn or stop you from getting any kind of reasonable movement towards the capture points. I just hate not even having a chance at shooting back. So many positions where you can get shoot but you physically cannot get a shot on them because of the physics of the shell drop and such and they're just sat safely behind an island being all untouchable

    While listening to your points on game mode changes, I thought "yeah, the king of the hill and domination stuff has gotten old, how about there's dynamic capture points like in TF2 or Battlefields Conquest" and then I remembered World War was a thing. Maybe they can give that another go and just have it be another game mode rather than some complicated ongoing battle

    I would love to see air RB night battles, either as optional in simular way like night ground RB or in simular way as simulator battles and also split into two: one for WW2 heavy/night figters + bombers and other for cold war interceptors + jet bombers, not sure it would be everyones cup of team as they would have to get better at reading radar but it would be cool game mode and maybe make bombers more playable when they would not have to worry about light fighters
    also as some heavy fighters dont have radar maybe there could be in some places of map be reflector lights illuminating parts of sky and search lights on aircraft could be intreduced

    Like you said with ground battles, I feel the same and that single player could get this sort of treatment. Currently with unbalanced missions solely for air, it's hard as a tanker to enjoy or even force myself to play 50 of these missions for an achievement. Could also benefit new players who are struggling with smurfs/seal clubbers to identify weak spots and strategize. This is hopeful thinking as there are more important issues, as you discussed, nevertheless I would like to see any positive change.

    Subs are a huge issue for a few reasons.
    1. subs wouldn't die like ever unless they have a very very imitated air amount.
    2. Most are insanely slow underwater, being slower than Dreadnoughts even
    3. Homing torps that a lot, especially German subs had, would make it to easy to hit people.
    4. Can't defend themselves like at all on the surface vs. anything besides maybe some PT boats.

      Also can only do well in open seas, cause near islands the sea is too shallow to take cover and they get instantly deleted by anyone.

      @alexturnbackthearmy1907 well with some maps now yes but a lot are pretty deep near caps, and knowing gaijin will probably make it deeper. But other main thing people say just depth charge them, but you try and will get blasted by the surface ships so they wouldn't be able to die unless air limit like WOWS. I personally think they would be a bad addition, same with player carriers as those would also be to OP or useless especially if it's like WOWS of squadrons close together 1 good AA ships would shoot them all down with HEVT

      @@sniper321fire Eh, coastal should just do fine for blasting subs. Small, so you cant just tropedo them, have full ASW capabilities (as seen in the event), and surface ships cant see them easily, you spot them only like 4km away, and a bit more if you are looking directly at them.

    6:55 @DOLLARplays the reason why they took the coastal guns away. Was for multiple reasons. 1) they actually did a lot of damage to players, especially coastal vessals. 2) they were hard to destroy, sometimes impossible. They tried patching it but sometimes it made it worse. Ive personally experienced this lol! Was not fun!

      Oh yeah for coastal vessels they definitely were dangerous.
      Maybe they could make coastal artillery to target only blue water ships, and also make the reward higher for destroying them. So it would be more rewarding.
      And also they need to rework the damage model

    Honestly, I would like to see the crew skill mechanic either removed or made significantly cheaper.
    It discourages me to play other nations as I don't want to grind crews again.

      To be fully honest with you I agree, however I have a doubt on how that will affect crew repair time and reloading time but this should be generalized that way it's a fair fight rather than who paid golden eagles for an ace crew repairs quicker

    6:46 i would love to see some Norway maps with the German costal cannons like the Adolf gun in Harstad or the 380mm Cannon located in Kristiansand i believe its called Møvik fort. Anyways it would be cool to see a mission where you would have to assist in a naval landing or something like that. If the cannons were to be added they would have to be balanced because of their long 50km+ range.
    Just found out there is also a fort with a very similar cannon to the one shown on the timestamp its in austrått fort. Fun fact its the c battery from the Gneisenau Battleship.

    It is worth noting that light/medium AA guns (40mm bofors and the like) can't really damage destroyer-sized things... mostly due to how big said destroyers are. Its not really a matter of armor penetration, but more that there just isn't anything the dinky 40mm can actually reach aside from the superstructure and gun turrets. A better option would just be to entirely split coastal and bluewater.
    Its mostly like, fundamentally you aint gonna be sinking a boat by poking small holes above the waterline

    As a Canadian who grew up seeing the CF-18 in the CAF, I've always wanted to see the F/A-18/CF-18 in the game, would be awesome to see and I think would be a lot of fun to play with!

    I have a LONG list of things I'd love to see in War Thunder, additions and changes. I don't play naval, but I agree with most of the ground considerations you bring up here. Ground EC (and Air EC along with it) would definitely be top of my list when it comes to game mode improvement. I hate the current stagnant gameplay that we have to deal with over and over again. Adding some variety, extending mission time, and throwing in some PvE would significantly reinvigorate this game.
    Personally, I have some smaller additions I'd love to see. From individual vehicles to minor nation sub-trees, there's a lot I'm hoping comes to the game at some point. A focus on earlier ranks and WWII vehicles would be really nice at this point, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who returns to those lineups to actually have fun after breaking my back against the high-tier grind.
    One of my most anticipated additions is the Hungarian WWII air tree. There are some good German planes that would bolster Italy, as well as some unique models like the Heja II and the Me 210 Ca-1, and its 40mm Bofors variant.

    I like the player controlled arty support idea! It could work by letting SPH/SPA vehicles enter ''artillery mode' where they elevate their guns past 45° and drastically reduce accuracy (to slightly better than normal arty), then use the map to aim (just like normal arty, but maybe zoomed in).

    I think skill matchmaking of some sort would really benefit the game, even with the cost of higher queue times. It is unfair for very experienced players to fight new players, and this has caused some of my friends to drop the game. Not everyone has the same amount of time to learn this game, so skill matchmaking would allow newer players to learn the game together.

    I want many many things. But the one thing i want the most is infantry. Imagine being able to use an APC as an....APC, unloading infantry that will speed up capturing or set up ambushes, scout, use portable anti air weapons etc.

    i think the main thing i would love to see on top of all that would be the Bradley M2A4E1. Its just the m3a3 bradley but with a trophy APS. It would be actually fun to play in top tier and could be actually viable to use with the m1a1 hc or m1a2 sep. also, fixing the TOW 2B would be amazing too. (or top tier US MBT's getting APS would be super cool too). idk tho, just something i would love to see. (also, CAS being more difficult to get and the larger scale matches are brilliant ideas.)

    7:11 I agree we need something like AI targets to shoot in huge naval maps. Air RB has it why not Naval. but with that i want game time limit increased from 25min to 40 min minimum.

    One thing they can add that I think would help with some of the research problems is a weekly RP discount/boost for a nation or branch, speeding up the grind and maybe getting players that don't play some of the smaller nations to try them out and get farther in the tech tree.

    1. Overlapping maps in Ground instead of a single shared map. The two teams dont need to have the same map. It can overlap, 80-90%, but there should be a region that is out of bounds for the other team.
    2. Ground RB and Air RB combined battles. Ground players are ground only. Air players are air only. Air starts from the airstrip like a normal Air RB match. So you have a ground game where the tanks are fighting and then above them 20 planes also fighting it out and sometimes attacking the ground units, like an actual battle. There could even be two separate matches (one ground, one air) sharing the same battlefield. Would be so much better than the bombing ai crap in Air RB battles.

      This solves revenge CAS also. Being able to be on the ground then spawn in a plane with all the knowledge to bully ground vehicles is not fair.
      If you’ve got someone camping, you should be able to place a “request air strike” mark on the map. And an Air RB player will see it as an objective

    Or, You can have AI planes in ground battles, to kill in spaa if no players are in cas, to faster farm xp. Also, i played a lot of air rb lately, and im in love with weather and clouds in there, wish we have clouds like that in naval, where You can hide, like in the smoke, also, maby they could add smoke shells (i know at least us navy used them with much succes)

    I like CAS being available and easy to access, I would however like to have some counters, like bombless fighters and air to air loadouts have massively reduced sp cost, if not none at all. Being able to swap from SPAA at no sp cost would be a neat idea. Hell, being able to swap what tank you're using at spawn might be an interesting mechanic for all tanks, give it a timer or something, maybe a nominal sp cost. Another neat idea might be like a seperate queue for groundRB games for dedicated fighter/bomber players.

      The problem with making fighters without bombs cheap is that they would still be used to strafe SPAA. When there are no enemy planes around SPAA and open top vehicles are still just as vulnerable to MG and Cannon fire, no matter if the planes are allowed AP rounds or not.

    With ammo boxes and dozers in the game, I wish they'd make an engineering/logistics vehicle class, which could work as a support class. Supply ammo to friendlies, dig positions, help with repairs, etc. Maybe put command vehicles variants in there as well with arty/spotting abilities or something.

    I used to play world of warships back in the day, and the one gamemode I remember really liking was convoy escort, which probably for big battleships won't be good idea but for destroyers as PvE gamemode this could be solid.

    For Ground EC (or rather Combined Arms EC) I had idea (which I should probably turn info fully fleshed out suggestion on forum) to grab Battlefield Conquest mode. You got spawns for each team and zones as objectives. Some zones are pure cap zones to simulate like capturing town or factory. Some zones spawn extra objectives that need to be completed. At first they start neutral and once first cap is done objectives spawn for enemy team.
    For WW2 stuff zones are smaller like 1km max. For top tier 2km max. If enemy is present in the zone that your team owns you cant spawn there. It is contested and you must spawn in bordering zone that belongs to your team (simulating reinforcements).
    Ground cost SL to spawn. Air is present however it cost SP to spawn. Each player start with 0 SP so you must spawn tanks first and earn your way to any air unit. Air units do not earn any SP so players cant just spam Air by going on massive kill streaks. Once you lost your plane you are back on the ground. Air also have extra objectives other then hunting players.
    You might say that SPAA would be dead on spawn if there was any early plane up. However if maps would be large enough SPAA could hide somewhere and fire at the plane without being detected by both air and ground. It could relocate after firing missiles unlike now where SPAA is mostly locked into sitting near/at spawn.

    What i would love to see is test drives for every vehicle so that you can figure out what you want to go for. For example if I'm starting to grind the russian air tree I could test fly both the Su-27 and the MiG 29 in order to decide which line I want to focus on. I don't see a big reason not to do this and one of my most favorite things to do in wt is to take something I don't own out for a test run and play around with it whenever the grind becomes too stressful.

    How about a game mode where you have to complete certain objectives to unlock types of tanks, CAS, oh things like that Wñ
    Where your objective is to capture a base and that allows you to unlock a heavy tank, oh a specific type of tank, and thus it would be more dynamic, and although a little more chaotic, more fun
    Something like this could be good 👌

    I think it would be cool to have a map like “High Seas Atlantic” or something where one team defends a convoy, or it’s just a long range brawl (start at 16mi). There would be no terrain. You just have to scan the horizon to find the enemies. Also, we could have night or bad weather battles where you have to use radar to locate ships.

    As someone who has researched multiple tech trees, it sucks when half my team is a bunch of level 10 clickbait's or 2A4Ms
    This would really help some nations (especially the US) get better win rates since you'd have experienced players teamed up with other experienced players.

    I think an intresting game mode would be something like protecting your carrier and the carrier is able to launch ai torpedo/dive bomber squadrons. Maybe a kill streak instead of arty barage, larger ships could have ai air support. In the form of torpedo/dive bombers.

    for the ground EC, cas options would be okay.
    As long as we get better SPAA options and large enough maps with spread out spawns, CAS has a chance to evade given the more space, AA has a chance to survive longer and play an important role because they are not restricted to one or two grid squares at spawn and are able to spread out because the righteous hand of god isnt upon them as soon as they spawn, air spawns are farther back and not guaranteed to be one location.
    Helicopters may suffer a bit, however they get a chance to survive longer as well, with potential to get closer spawns, but not so close they can take off, hover, fire, and land. they have to fly into the fray and hunt targets too.
    The rats may suffer a bit, however they get to flank farther and take better positioning on enemy targets.
    I for the most part, agree with everything to include an EC option for tanks. I dropped a comment on a seek video yesterday basically saying what was said here in this video in terms of the new game mode.

    A cool Naval-Air joint battle could be that a group of ships have to make it to an island and bombard it to destroy all targets, whilst a group of planes from an airfield on another island will try to destroy you. This would give an incentive for screening DDs and CLs, whilst also giving purpose to the heavier hitting CAs and BBs

    Love everything - and with the 'destroy the carrier game mode' idea: I think it would be a great way to utilize all those torpedo bombers in the tech tree that dont really get used in air battles. On those maps with a ground-based airbase, give people the option to spawn in their planes. I welcome it! most ships RIP planes .. that come 1 at a time-but imagine 6 or so? the combinations of planes/loadouts people would come up with to attack interests me, not to mention now you give cruisers and even destroyers a purpose again at higher BR as they arent half-bad at taking out planes. Add subs in there to also make your destroyers (sub-chasers) relevant and you probably created a game-mode that draws in the naval-only gamers.

    For naval they just need to get rid of encounter, it’s so annoying when you have to shoot at the freighters but when you press x, they don’t get selected and a random ship from 2km away gets selected instead, making you unable to successfully range and track the mission target

    I think it's good to redo the encounter missions currently in game. I'd like to have a mini version of what we have in EC, with those huge oil tankers and container ships. Along with dynamic spawn points. It'll be enjoyable I believe.

    biggest minus for naval is br compression. I love naval boats( the small ones) but its hella fun when you have only boats in the lineup, up to 4,3 br. All it takes is one decent player in a DD rushing in and you basicly leave the match immediately, (also there was a time where german jaguar torpedo boat could ammo rack DDs from 5km away with the autocannons. and quite easily too)

    I think a "attack/defend" game mode, similar to R6S, would be interesting for naval. There would have to be more teamwork from both sides to attack a specific set of islands, especially if there was some sort of "rearming countdown" for the islands where simpler weapons would be slowly rearmed/rebuilt, so larger ships would have to generally target an island while smaller ships get closer and destroy weapons via accuracy

    i've been thinking about some additions for ground aswell and completely agree with your points, i hadn't actually thought of ground EC but that would be cool!
    i have als been thinking a bunch the last few weeks and have some ideas for ground i'd like to share:
    More vehicle clasifications:
    - light TD's : some vehicles like the ASU-57 already have this and others like the M18 got reclasified as light tanks, but there are still vehicles that don't get acces to scouting while they really should like the ELC BIS and IKV 103. giving them a new classification that could allow them to slot in the TD and light tank lines would give less room for argumenting over what vehicle should and shouldn't get access to it.
    - SPH's : with the continued addition of howitzers we really need a better way to balance them without it becoming a point and click game like WoT has. I'd think having synergy with light tanks and the scouting mechanic would be the most logical idea but it could also kinda lead to you having to rely a lot on teammates wich could deffinetly be hit or miss.. The way I was thinking it could work is to have a lot better accuratly marked scouted enemies (to remove the rng movement of the scouted target marker) but balancing would deffinetly be required so that it's an effective and fun mechanic to use but doesn't feel like complete BS when it gets used on you.
    - APC's and IFV's : IFV's are now most of the time classified the same as light tanks, wich isn't really right but at least it's quite consistant. APC's however are in a weird possition of beeing ore classified as AA or as light tanks, and still some of the ones classified as AA get scouting (like the AMX-10P). Giving them a new classification and scouting would once more solve or at the very least reduce this problem. but this would still be a somewhat annoying endavor since the line between APC and IFV is somewhat blurry and some vehicles that i feel should also get scouting would still fall outside of these classifications. small but speedy AA's like the USH-204-GK, R3T20 and Ystervark should also deffinetly get access to scouting imo even though they don't fall under the light tank, APC, IFV or light TD classifications..
    new player experience rework:
    let's be honnest, rank 1 is in a horrible state at the moment with no balancing what so ever even though this is the new player experience! Having a complete overhaul of reserve vehicles and the rebalancing of br's 1.0-3.0 is a deffinet must to improve the new player experience and get more people to stay playing the game.
    - new reserve vehicles : reserve is completely unfair at the moment with vehicles like the BT-5, M8 LAC and M2A4 beeing able to absolutely bully the competition. I'd love to see newer (less capable) vehicles take those spots and to decompress the entire rank 1 and 2 br area severely.
    - new player experience : another idea could be to have new player only servers for the first 10-15 level's of someone's account for example going up to rank 3. There is a massive amount of people who try this game out so getting these filled shouldn't be that much of an issue and they can always have some bots added if required.
    - level limits on pack vehicles : adding limits on high rank packs would have a good chance to at least somewhat restabilise the top tier experience, for example to buy a rank III permium you have to be lv 5, for a rank IV lv10, rank V lv 15, rank VI lv 20 and rank VII lv 25. This might seem like something gaijin wouldn't do since pack vehicles are some of the most money making things the game has but this would make top tier a good chunk more ballanced since you can't have anymore lv 5's running around blind and leaving after a single spawn. This would also make the experience of the buyer better since they now need at least some experience in the game before they can thow themselves into the deep end, wich has the benefit of possibly keeping these new players longer since they won't get bullied as much and might thus also give more insentive for these players (that have shown that they want to spend money on the game) to buy more vehicles in the futute instead of ragequiting.
    general ground vehicles i'd love to see:
    US:
    - CTMS-ITB1, light (reserve possible replacement for the M2A4)
    - M2A1, medium (1.7) upgraded M2 with better armor and a supercharged engine producing 50hp more
    - M7, SPH (1.7-2.3)
    - M37, SPH (2.0-2.7)
    - M52, SPH (3.3-4.0)
    - T16 HMC, SPH/TD (2.0-3.0)
    -T18 HMC, TD (1.7-2.0)
    GER:
    - VK 30.01(H), heavy (2.0-2.3)

    BRIT:
    - A9 cruiser MK1, medium (1.0-1.3, possible replacement for the A13 MK1)
    - A9 MK1 (94mm), medium/TD (1.3-1.7)
    - A38 valianter (AKA the worst tank ever made), heavy (3.7-4.3)
    - A27L centaur, mediums (mkI 3.0) (mkIII 2.7) mkIV (2.3-2.7) (cromwell series tanks but with the weaker liberty engine (410hp instead of 600hp)
    JAP:
    - O-I, superheavy (3.7-4.3 OR 5.3-6.0 depending on test vehicle's 75mm of armor or full production's 150mm) (would be an amazing pick for the anniversary deams come true event)

    Agree with the spawn changes to GRB.
    The best way to stop spawn camping is just to remove spawn points. Hopefully the games last longer and are more enjoyable if it’s implemented.

    I hope they add Custom ammo belts.
    Fix the 15mm Mg 151/15 AP spalling.
    15mm H-Pzgr. To HVAP, velocity to 1050m/s.
    15mm API-T to just Ap-I.
    Fix the 30mm Mk 101/103 ApI-T (currently only I-T).
    Add 37mm Bk 43 and give the 37mm Bks the Pzgr.18.
    Some Turret traverse speeds.

    I feel like RP requirements for Naval are only like half of the problem too. Every time I tried to play naval for events I shot at people for like 2 minutes just to earn 10 RP once they finally go down. Very discouraging

    Happy New Year Master Betty! I hope Gaijen listen and try to implement these.
    It would be cool to have a mode for ground vehicles that you have to capture airfields to unlock CAS for your team, and you could lose it to the enemy team, too. There are many options to improve the game, but there is seemingly no motivation to do so... we'll have to see what 2025 brings

    For naval, larger maps are a must. We’re getting into BBs with an average engagement range of 15-20km. 9km is sword fighting distance for something like a North Carolina and South Dakota and is just incentivizing the braindead meat grinder brawl that we already have in ground

    Another thing I wish regarding EC modes is that naval EC (and hypothetical ground EC) should be added to battlepass tasks and events like they did it for air and ground sim battles

    3:16 Nicely mentioned, I've been playing Naval for an eternity now. What's really negative as you say is the spawns, which have to get better in the future, as you already mentioned. Let's hope GJ hears your words and will treat them accordingly.
