It's nice how the Naturia chapter in Solo Mode shows you the 2 main ways of playing the deck: Horus, and Vernusylph.
I would say that Runick and Horus are the two main ways, with Vernusylph being the third most common.
Regardless, you're pretty much right anyway
@@leafninja-fox5713 Isn't the Runick version dead yet? I thought the Runick cards were hit quite a bit in MD.
@@joseruizdiaz9622 They're hit a lot, but it's not really bad. It performs better than Vern.

Only 1 field, only 2 tip,
Hapi makes it more stable
There are ways of making Naturia "consistent", but not meta levels of consistent.
It's not bricky, it's just costly.
It's not a stereotypical meta deck with 1-card full board combo set-ups that can play through multiple handtraps, and other forms of disruptions, while also being able to play 15 handtraps, etc etc.
The minimum gameplan is getting Mole Cricket into the field, or GY.
The search cards you can use like main deck Aussa, One for One, and Small World minuses you; the extenders you can use like Vernusylphs can make you go even, but don't generate pluses.
It's full of 2-card combos, you're very weak to Ash, and their native forms of disruption are costly; sunflower, and vein need to tribute 2 mons, while horneedle needs 1.
Beast is nigh infinite, and Camellia gives you 1 free activation, but only 1 or 2 negates, as well placed as they could be, aren't often enough.
By their nature, you give your opponent freedom; the fact they are mons with low stats, with high activation costs, and can only interact with specific different things among whatever you got on the field means any competent opponent with a decent deck can play around you, and/or break your board.
In many cases you might negate your opponent's entire turn...at the cost of outing your field yourself with so many tributes. Unlike Snake-Eyes, you don't generate free follow-up.
Any boardbreaker kills you; Dark Ruler, Evenly, Droplet, Kurikara, Kaijus, in some cases Nibiru.
Ash, Imperm, Droll, Veiler, Maxx C, you can sort of play through them, but it's painful, and Called By can be devastating.
The "best" native Naturia Board you could make as far as I imagine is Barkion, Beast, Camellia, Sunflower with Cricket, Horneedle, and/or Stinkbug in the GY, but your hand will be empty.
Maybe you can add Vera in there somewhere for an extra negate, a revive, and some Ishizu shuffler in the GY.
You could make a version with Bamboo Shoot, but Calamity turbo honestly takes less effort, and generates more advantage.
You gotta think of it as a control deck, like Sky Striker, or Runick (if they didn't banish your stuff); there are obviously stun variants with the earth statue, or Bambooska.
When playing Naturia you gotta accept you are playing a weaker deck; it's no use trying to squeeze its peak like a needle, and use it to fight the meta full of swords; you need to find the harmony within the archetype, make it work well in relation to itself instead in comparison to others.
This sadly means you're below rogue by TCG standards, and not even tiered by MD standards.
Every hand you draw has the chance of starting your engines, of resolving the minimum "full combo" of Mole Cricket on field or GY, it's just that basic handtraps that don't make a dent on tiered decks are Rookie Crushers; they can negate the only 1 or 2 plays you have available because, although not bricky, they are too costly.
Even a single Fenrir is enough to out your board if you are unlucky.
Me wishing it was TCG:
7:31 we got Daddy Jesse before GTA6
If you want a more consistent version of Naturia, most of the Vernusylphs are 1 card combos (except you need discards). You just need to get a level 4 on the field then use Awakening Forest to dump Camelia and revive it with Traptrix Allomerus. That lets you search then normal summon molecricket and pop off. Problem is that deck doesn't have an easy way to unbrick trees.
down
I need fire king to come out because snake eyes is starting to brick more with all the hand traps
What'll be a good replacement for calamity once it gets banned?
Do we know all of the cards coming in the june pack yet?
I can’t wait for calamity to be banned
My favorite archetype is so back 😤😤😤 glad to see the goat pilot it😂
you do know that Calamity just got hit on the master duel ban list, which basically takes away the win condition of this deck ?
@@keinelusteinenfakenamenzue7625 yeah ofc I know but I'm talking about right now while it's still out, the deck may not have as good of a win condition but the deck isn't dead or anything just because calamity is gone just one toxic card to be replaced which another level 12 that's all
I want tree back to 3. Also, I love Vernusylph Naturia, it's so fun and it's really good actually
Lesgooo megaman bgm
Ive never seen Jesse misplay this much 😂😂😂
i dont think its amisplay he didint want to calamity lock
Is this mmbn bgm
Even with the more frequent banlists, MD just has more time(and people on cards) to innovate and figure out ways to make useful things out of every slight addition. Paleo tech has jumped by leaps and strides here compared to what paper players were doing with it as another example.
Also helps that MD didn't do the dumb thing TCG did and limit Sacred Tree just because of what Runick was doing to make Naturia cards viable there.
Reminder that even without Calamity Lock, Cosmic Blazar Dragon can still be annoying, and there's other nifty level 12s with their own niches you can set up like Final Sigma and Masurawao if you don't want to use Luluwalilith. These will be important to remember when Centur-ion comes out to do basically the same stuff as this deck currently is(while adding new Synchro 8s and 12s to the pool).
thats cool and all but in the end nothing is different. the strongest decks are all the same. master duel is kind of just watered down ocg format imo.
naturia lvl4 is just a custom card tbh
Based Jessey
yes
centurion cards would have been good, cause their lvl 12 synchro searches a free lvl4 tuner ss.
calamity is gone now... so this deck lost its win condition
This is you’re 4th time using this video title btw
And? Shut up
@@bloodarcher7841 lmao someone’s triggered bc I point out facts lolololol cry dude
@@Ezj9727that is your response? What are you 5?

I love your channel and content Jesse but WHY DO YOU PROMOTE CALAMITY SHIT?!!?!?!? Good that its banned in 5-6 days.
You can’t believe a good deck with the most recently released cards is good?? Like come on
To be fair this deck has no success in the TCG. The only records of its consistent success are those in MD right now.
@@SomeSoelStice ya I see this deck constantly in MD rn
Getting that moody over someone casually discussing a TCG is a really goofy look. I hope you're like 15 or else that's really embarrassing lol
