    Very complete and compact...very nice. I love these old snap-on boxes. I have a 1980s craftsman 10 drawer chest that is packed.

      That would be boring…how is a guy supposed to learn when another guy has already done the work for you…pussification of America…”men” today are to afraid to get their hands dirty…

    I wish I had some good salvage yards near me, none of mine around me let people go out to the cars and take things off. They never have the exact parts I need because of this.

    Cool haven't seen those in awhile I used to have the buffalo tools harmonic balancer puller kit I stripped and twisted alot of bolts so it ended up getting replaced with craftsman USA made set and then the big bolt that threaded into the center of the puller got stripped and then the bolts got thrown in with a great neck set I picked up and then that one disappeared right along with the craftsman tools and screwdrivers, pliers,chisels and punches out of my truck so now I have a abn set that is in a big case that latches together nice looking harmonic balancer set

    Nice set up for a road box

    Those buffalo tools harmonic balancer sets were cheap and quite handy pulled several Buick 231 and SBC harmonic balancers and several steering wheels still have the puller and big hub bolt on the tips, but I have lost the assorted bolts for different threads and lengths..

      In general, how well did tools from Buffalo perform? I’ve seen an owned several tools from that brand, but have nothing to compare with based on age. It seems they were very popular and I never come across broken tools in that brand..

      @@MidwestToolReview honestly I would have to say fairly decent for the price, most of them took quite a few years of use and quite a bit of abuse also very impressive for what I paid for them.

    I'm going to be changing things up soon. I have a truck box to put behind the cab of my S10. So I'm thinking about getting one of those cube type tool kits to put in there to cover the basics. But it's winter in Iowa so I'm not in a huge hurry to do that transition right now in the wind and cold. lol
    My salvage yard lets me drive right up to the donor trucks anyway so I can get my whole truck pretty close.

    Good stuff man. You really are a old school tool user. How come NO SK TOOLS. Both of you are from the Midwest. Keep the vintage going!!

    • @MidwestToolReview
      @MidwestToolReview  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I have a good deal of SK. Funny enough, I just picked up a set of 3/8” drive standard length sockets this morning. I’ll have a photo up on my Instagram account if you’re interested

    9:40 I too am opposed to segregation. I have a tool box, as shown cluttered in a recent video, that is going to be swapped out for a larger more spacious apartment for my box wrenches. Somebody was talking about sockets that are double marked....7/16" & 11mm.
    I wonder if that is becoming more common. I have three sets of tools, the master set in the garage close to home, the satellite set in storage, and the very top end small stealth set that rides with me. The satellite set is made up of yard sale and roadside finds.

    There is a LOT of redundancy in that box. nice to have if you have the strength to carry it all.

    You take that to the junk yards? Wow! They said CP was the tool addict. He said " I'm fine, It is Midwest Tool Review who needs an intervention". Boy oh boy, was he right. When the scrapyards see you coming they run out and borrow tools because you have a better portable set than they have at their benches.
