My parents favorite song to each other. They were married 56 years. I had this played at my own wedding as a surprise to my parents, and they danced together to it. Thank you for posting it.
I requested this song from the radio station and had them play it at a certain time so I could be sure to get the radio on. It was dedicated to my grandparents for their, I think, 73rd wedding anniversary. They loved it. Miss them like crazy.
My parents danced to this on their 25th wedding anniversary! They were married 42 years before he died of cancer (melanoma) in 2007. Every time I hear this song I think of the two of them and the love they shared. They were soul mates and I'm so lucky they were my parents!
Jill, how very wonderful... I was married to my husband for 49yrs. and lost him to cancer in 2016. I used to turn on this song and sang along, point at my hubby and we would laugh laugh and laugh. He was the love of my life, since I was 15... I miss him daily. I'm so glad your parents shared such a wonderful love as well... We will see them again..
I use to be a DJ at the radio station in Cheyenne, Wyoming Roy Clark was doing a performance at the Cheyenne Civic Center he came to the station and did this song live, A very nice gentleman.
My husband played Gluegrass music, but he played and sang this to me. He passed away in July this yr. I turn this song on and can feel so close to him. He did the Roy Clark won't .
You know, music can be so amazing! I was laying here stretched back in my recliner and this song popped in my mind so I got up and pulled it up on TH-cam. This song takes me back to my WMAQ AND WJJD AM Radio in Chicago back in the Middle Seventies. I ran track and field for Wright College and driving to Track Meets I would have car load of Black Guys and I would normally listen to WLS AM which was Soft Rock. The Guys would tell Coach they didn't want to ride with me because I be playing 'Wierd' music. So normally on the return trip I would have a load of White Guys and just so happens I would normally find a Country Western Station. Later the Coach would tell me the Guys say 'Meanmo' be listening to crazy music. I considered myself BLESSED! Living in Bessemer, Alabama in the late '50s through middle '60s Mama taught us to sing and harmonize with music on the radio. Well in the early days the station we listened to was 'WEEN' AM Birmingham and it played all music. This was good but later on and through the years I've tried to find a song titled "Someday." The soft beautiful voice by the female singer made me think it was Ms. Patsy Cline but her version is different. Perhaps somebody out there recall the song: "You're gonna find, that You'll miss my loving Someday. And I know, I know Someday." Would be very nice if Somebody remember the song and post it. Thanks, GOD BLESS!!! - - Now that I'm back up and getting ready to eat some 'hotcakes', guess I'll return to '74, 75, and 76' and relieve some of the memories from those crazy streets of Chicago. My Mom eventually talked me into leaving because She said death was hanging around me. What's so true about it was look like so many times I would leave a place and somebody would get killed. Finally came to a head while I was standing on the busstop downtown and I heard screaming coming from this hallway and an Old Man staggered out naked and bleeding from several wounds in his chest and back. I had a fork of Coconut Cream Pie up to my mouth but everything froze. That man actually walked all the way across the street where a Police Unit was sitting and slammed into the walk. I was later told by the Police (after they ran up to me with their guns out and I pointed towards the hallway and told them he came from there) he was already dead, he was just getting away from the man stabbing him. I went South and found my Dad but later returned to Chicago and joined the Army. Really glad I did too! GOD BLESS Again and Again!!!!!!
My best frind and Wife of 48 years just passed away from A L S, she was not able to speek do to the disease . The last thing she did before she sipped into a comma, she took her I Pad and played this song by Roy Clark. God I miss her. Thank you Roy.

Lovely, meaningful song by Roy that reminds me of another one in the same mode..........I'd Choose You Again by the Forester Sisters. So many people around the world can identify with the messages created by the songwriters of great songs like these.
My Dad wanted this song played at my Momma’s funeral services. So we had someone make a CD for the funeral home to play. It was the last song of three songs for her memorial service. My Mom passed away December 2018.
On this day in 1976 {February 17th} Roy Clark was a guest on the CBS-TV weekday-afternoon television program, 'The Merv Griffin Show'... The remainder of the Hot Country Singles' Top 10 on March 28th, 1976: At #3. "'Til I Can Make It On My Own" by Tammy Wynette #4. "'Til All The Rivers Run Dry" by Don Williams #5. "Drinkin' My Baby Off My Mind" by Eddie Rabbitt #6. "Broken Lady" by Larry Gatlin #7. "Faster Horses (The Cowboy And The Poet)" by Tom T. Hall #8. "Don't The Girls All Get Prettier At Closing Time" by Mickey Gilley #9. "Angels, Roses, and Rain" by Dickey Lee #10. "(Til) I Kissed You" by Connie Smith Between 1963 and 1989 the Meherrin, Virginia native had fifty records on the Hot Country Singles chart, nine made the Top 10 with one reaching #1, "Come Live With Me", for one week in May of 1973... Roy Linwood Clark passed away at the age of 85 on November 15th, 2018... May he R.I.P. * "If I Had It to Do All Over Again (I'd Do It With You)" was Roy Clark's second of two of his records to peak at #2, his other #2 record was "Somewhere Between Love and Tomorrow" for one week in December of 1973...
