The developer doesn't think that far, they see cash and that's all that matters
As much as I want to love this game, it's getting really hard to defend it. After having been out for nearly a month and it's still in the "proof of concept" stage at best, it's just depressing. How do you release a racing game with non working cautions??? Should've had another 3-4 months of work before release at the very least.

Hopefully the long wait for the 3rd patch means cautions and pitting are fixed and working properly

I completely agree that the caution and pitting stuff needs to be fixed, but the chaos it causes as the race ends, and the post race crashing and driving backwards thru the front stretch grass is comedy gold more times than not😂
From experience of working on draft packages I can say that NASCAR '21 Ignition has added too much dirty air/sidedraft which is why people pull away in superspeedways on singleplayer.
That's why they gained on the leaders when they went single file

They said they were finalizing the 3rd patch like 5 days ago. What the heck? lol
This isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's better that they take their time and make sure this patch actually does something positive, than rush out another patch that disappoints everybody again.
I'm still not expecting much, but i'd rather know it isn't rushed out.

The reason the AI pull away at plate tracks is because the two leaders the top 2 hook up and form a tandem and pull away from the rest of the field

How did nobody noticed that Aric Almirola failed post race inspection and got disqualified from his finishing position.
Aric Almirola finished Tenth, but somehow DSQ after finishing the race? As we know of there isn't inspections, so therefore he DQed after the race ended.
I've updated everything aaannnd it STILL wont let me drive the F-ing car. It continues to drive my car STRAIGHT into the inside wall. I didn't buy this game for an out of control AI to crash my cars. Idk what to do now...... someone please help lol. I'm not in full control of the car and i know my controller isn't shot!

In my experiences with the game recently it seems that they silently fixed ai pitting so that they all put but they put super late

I might be alone here, but I don’t think you should have to steer the car to the right down the straights when using a controller. A wheel, yes, but not on a controller. At places like Atlanta on controller, you don’t even have to steer the car at all on the front stretch. That’s a bit ridiculous.

Once it spreads out, the plate racing looks like NASCAR Thunder...which sucks. I'm not sure if they can patch that.

No youtuber or streamer but a major Nascar fan and been blessed to watch live 28 times at 5 different tracks and walk the pits at 2 of them and have met some of the greats form Dale Senior to Rusty and more. My first racing game was Pole Position on Atari and since every Nascar game through the years. Nascar 21 should have never been released with all that's missing within the game and the unplayable problems it has. It makes one wonder does producers of this release have any knowledge at all of Nascar or do they even care for their customers this is 2021 not 2001 and this game is the worse hands down so far on release day and charging $60+ for a broking game and piggy backing it with DLC is shocking. And Nascar gaming fans in hopes a patch or patches will help with the mechanics and and everything that's missing that should be in on day after dropping $60bucks. All in all patches are and will be but when you start a game for first time at least you should be able to play the game. If you havent picked up Nascar 21 WAIT !!!! and see if it will or can be fixed don't waste your money just yet ...

If we get more than 16 drivers in NASCAR with a win in order to decide who is locked in we will start at the drivers with the most wins then if they have the same amount of wins points will decide there a tiebreaker.
