You need to acquire a remote seed box opener, faster and safer. They run on Milwaukee batteries. Watch Border View Farms when he is treating soybeans. Easy on and off the seed box and works Great!

Out of all the years you planted on an open station tractor, and the many years and many bags of seed that you have loaded into individual boxes I'm glad to see you've got a CCS planter and can load with the seed tender and cover ground faster now. Well deserved in my opinion. But I bet when you were my age planting corn with a 4320 you didn't see this in the future right haha
Drone would be handy to scout for isolated rocks after planting ( especially your hay / silage fields ) A lot of acres in a day with the planter at 4 - 5 mph .

I've ridden with a friend with the same planter going 10mph and it feels like you are in road gear heading through the field! He pulls it with an 8430 no fertilizer though and very few hills on their ground. If I remember correctly he gets close to 40 acres an hour with 16 rows.
What's my old 7000 4 row planter pulled with a 75 c Case IH tractor I like to run about 3 1/2 to 4 MI an hour I do not like to look back and see my planner units bouncing

I agree with you, planting at those speeds just doesn’t feel right. I’m happy pulling 24 rows with 22” spacing at 5-5.5mph with an 8310R

Ive had our 12 row up to 12.5 mph in good ground. Can really get things done. Most the time run around 10.
