    Sounds like a fun game. Since there is no solobility, it's money saved. 😏

    Watched gameplay didn’t really get excited.
    There’s two retail games on my list for the price of this so I’ll stick to the retail games thx.
    This is too expensive for what you’re getting. I’ve seen big box games full of minis around same price as this.
    You’re paying a lot for all those fancy trays.

    •  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      it’s getting more and more $$

    So, is the Catan comparison because both games have trading? Or is that the Moonrakers comparison?

    •  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Catan = trading resources and the placement a la settlements

      also when there are not enough resources to give out, everyone loses half similar to the robber in Catan

    Did they send you the stuff to play 2 players?
    I've seen posative feedback from the people who played with it ... though it sounds almost like you had a very differant experiance and are just imagining it not working (because of the lack of the 2 player parts).

    •  หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes. but I did not. I am (speaking of my own biases) not usually a fan of the automa in these types of games

      Too many creators in the board game space make almost no money, so I don't begrudge them trying to turn a profit with deluxe-ification. Besides, they always offer a standard version at a decent price so I don't see the issue.

      I agree. I tried to go all in on Moonrakers during the Titan campaign and it was around $300.. for a card game… and that was with their kickstarter “discount” and before shipping lmao

      This game in particular seems extra overpriced. 80 bucks for the most basic version and it doesn't look like there is a ton of components. Plus they are putting out so many products so rapidly. Makes me question the quality of the games now. Moonrollers? What even is that lol.

      @@novon246 lol these dudes are in lala land man - agreed I would have considered backing titan as well it was half the price - their shipping prices are higher than everyone seemingly as well - i just backed the new trekking the world game and they only charged $5 which was awesome

    This game looks a little bland, on top of the outrageous price .. yeah, not gonna happen.

    Unfortunately cant rewpext Iv studios anymore, they did the 1 dollar down thing with their last campaign, wouldnt hold this agaonts small companies, but IV has multiple million dollar campaigns, why ddi they need to do that?
    Not paying the high prices anymore

    • @jonathanleach383
      @jonathanleach383 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Also imagine paying 170 usd for this game plus shipping😂, it baffles me they have so many people willing to pay that ....

      Need is a funny word. Did you not see their breakdown of what they were attempting, what they leaned and why they expect to never do it again?
      They are still a small company, early on they were an ad and animation studio that was floating the game side.
      As far as prices, if you talk to them, especially Austin, they really do aim to keep their premium products at the lowest price point, but what they keep finding is that when they do things like a standee version of VF, the retail version of FS, and suspect the $79 version of Brink is that the sales of those lower price points are just not enough people wanting them.
      Again, they are a small company, they keep exploring and trying new things & yes, not all their games are for everyone and there are a portion of people who none of their games are for them and that's ok.

    No you shouldn't! IV has extremely expensive overproduced games that feel pretty mid to play. Our group played Moonrakers and Veiled Fate and never touched both games again. Nobody was ever interested again. The games felt pretty generic and empty, kinda boring even, but there is so much bling and FOMO in those campaigns that people tend to buy the games. IV has 4 games now, with great amounts of backers and only one game made it to top 1000. Moonrakers on 880, which isn't very impressive if you ask me. But the price for Moonrakers was crazy for a card game.

    Also,
    Besides the fact that they are both from the same publisher, I don't get how this is anything like Fractured Sky... In FS, you are bidding your numbers and putting them out on the board, hiding them.
    What is the corollary in this game?

    •  หลายเดือนก่อน

      really just like you said the blindness of the bidding/resources

    • @JJ_TheGreat
      @JJ_TheGreat หลายเดือนก่อน

      You know what other game, which came onto crowdfunding has blind bidding?
      Luthier
      So are you saying that Brink is like Luthier, then, too?

    I hope they make a solo game. Tired of all the negotiations they put in.

    • @clanechelon
      @clanechelon หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It seems clear to make that IV studio's focus is mostly on the social aspect. Their main mechanic is always either social deduction or negotiation. A solo game would feel quite out of character, but some people do like to challenge themselves
