Thanks man. I found my watch still paused after trying these solutions. My issue was that I was wearing my watch too loose and it would think I took it off and auto lock it. I just tighten the strap before a run now and problem solved.
If it continues to happen after all those settings it may be your tattoo. I switched mine to my other arm without the tat and never had an issue since. Found on TH-cam as well that it was the tat. Great video
Another useful tip, if you don’t want to disable the auto pause (because it’s actually very useful for certain workouts), you can just wear your watch a liiiitle bit higher up on your arm, so when you bend your wrist, it doesn’t hit the crown or side button
Another thing to note is sometimes people with tattoos under the Apple Watch have issues with the wrist detection sensor. All of the Apple Watches are affected by it unfortunately

@@bradley_hopcraftit’s likely because heart rate and blood oxygen sensors rely on light to work, which is blokes by a tattoo. Maybe it would work if you got tattoos specifically everywhere but where your watch goes
Can confirm! Literally be losing my mind trying to figure this out, did all the setting changing, and still nothing. Noticed your comment about the tattoos, switching my watch the opposite arm without a sleeve and my workout hasn’t paused… I only have a Apple Watch 3 so hopefully they figured this tattoo sensory out on the newer models!

Press to pause is by swiping over on the screen and pushing the pause button so when you stop, it doesn’t keep recording when auto pausing when it was turned on, it means your Apple Watch could probably not be tight enough because when you take the sensors off your body. It will automatically pause because it loses heart rate and other things it may be tracking

And numerous universities and science institutions have proved that the Apple Watch is more accurate. For a person who is serious about fitness, accuracy is the #1 thing you want to pay attention to while buying a watch. Especially if you bought it to lose weight

Ok so this has been my absolute freaking nightmare I’ll be 2hrs in my workout only for it to have stoped at 10min mark. So hopefully my disabling one other thing that this out stop will quit
@@iasked7206 with normal use I find it lasts for 2 to 3 days with heavy use one day and there's a watch only mode witch, you guessed it, only shows the time with a full charge it lasts up to 16 days usually
