DUDE i totally understand what you mean about feeling appalled. i got into SPICA when Tonight came out and it BROKE ME when i heard they disbanded. ALSO i recommend you check out their Yesterday stagesー i think that's what they're called. Men Came Down the Sky Like Rain was BOMB. all of them SANG and heaven descended and i'm just asjkdklー their BREAK AWAY performance on Yesterday was also amazing. Just type up "Spica Yesterday" and you should find both.
(also Narae was (IS) my wife and I have never fallen for a woman as hard as i did for her. SOBS)
Before MAMAMOO exists, there's SPICA being the best vocal group in kpop, their company slow down everything after 2014, which is the time that SPICA started getting recognition, horrible management, they made their US debut with the song "I Did It", I think you should check it out although the MV is really low-budget lol
I love Mamamoo and Spica, but sorry there was plenty gg with wonderful vocals. At least 2NE1, Girls Generation and many more. If not typical idol group there was Big Mama.
SeeYa, Bigmama, SES, and Spica were the top vocal girl groups back then.
I've said it before. The golden age was so mind numbingly good groups like this just faded away into the background.
Unfortunately, connections are everything in the industry. Even if they had Lee Hyori help them if the company is too small and can't push the group enough cause of the lack of resources, they wouldn't make it big. It is such a shame. They were AMAZING. And very respected. Boa was a vocal coach to a lot of idols after all. Also I still remember how Key from SHINee made sure to get them to sing on his "wedding" (on the We Got Married show lol). Boy knows and appreciates talent.
This group is so good. I wish I was into kpop when they were around, but I started too late. They are amazing.

SPICA is definitely on my shortlist for groups I wish had gotten better attention, and one of my fav groups. You're going to dig "Give Your Love".
