Can you do an extensive seperate test/comparison review with the Alienware so basicly covering everything from features, specs, ergnomics, color accuracy, black values, contrast, vieuwing angles, response time, etc.?
G-SYNC does not add input lag at the same framerates, especially if you force disable V-SYNC (at the slight chance of a tear). It's only if you unlock the framerate and can push more than the highest fps in the G-SYNC range (aka maximum refresh rate) that you'll see lower latency because there's a more recent frame available every ~4.16ms. In fact, if you force disable V-SYNC and leave fps unlocked (or locked above the max refresh) you get the best of both worlds i.e. the lowest input lag when your fps goes over the max refresh because traditional V-SYNC won't kick in, and the smoothness of G-SYNC when your fps drops within the range with no perceivable input lag penalty. This is what makes the XL2740 a great option for competitive players, because it's FreeSync and G-SYNC compatible.... maybe the XL2540 too but not sure if it's got VRR! With G-SYNC active at 240Hz, even if you drop to 120 fps the screen will still push the most recent frame at 4.16ms too (and not ~8ms).
@@xephyr2371 That's not true, it works up to 144Hz on monitors like the S2716DG, up to 165Hz on monitors like the XG2703 and up to 240Hz on monitors like the XL2540 and XL2740. If you always want it to be active you'd lock the framerate to 3-5 below i.e. 141, 162 and 241... but as mentioned that limits your input latency... though at 240 the difference between that and 300 is minimal at best anyway.
@uP-Andre it's literally less than a millisecond, you could set your mouse to 1000Hz instead of 500Hz and get that back. The PG279QZ jumps from 4.4ms to 4.9ms with VRR enabled 😂 Come on dude, whatever you feel is placebo. Disable V-Sync and it's absolutely superior to not using it.
@@iwantum That's because *everyone* still believes the myth. If a pro would try out a 230fps capped Gsync monitor next to one without it (let's face it, outside of CSGO you're not hitting that 240+ consistently. Most of us aren't anyway.) they'd stick to it. But most of them keep repeating that ''increases input lag, it's vsync+'' myth. Gsync/Freesync actually does something that's very important: it makes frametimes *much* more consistent than even a normal framecap, resulting in much smoother motion when quickly turning a camera and a more consistent mouse-feel. Tests and data can be found on Blurbusters.com or Battle(none)sense's YT channel.
@@ManOfAttitudeLP1998 Gsync (generally speaking) adds input lag only when Vsync gets enabled when you hit your refresh rate cap (and thus if you also have vsync enabled). By capping slightly below that you completely eliminate that issue as tested by blurbusters.com and battle(none)sense (youtube). Those are tests done at 144hz and 240hz mostly though. There's even a few freak instances where enabling it *lowers* total input lag by a few ms. Trust me when I say these two sources have about 4x the material and knowledge any of us do. They're pretty trustworthy as they have nothing to gain by falsifying information and both revolve around the topics of eliminating all forms of lag and motion clarity issues.

He just ordered this one even though he knows he’s too used to IPS panels. Really curious what he will say. But from a competitive point of view I don’t think there’s a better screen at the moment
I own this monitor, too. However, DyAc is a feature with a huge trade-off. Adding that extra black frame in between two frames effectively adds flicker to your image. While it removes ghosting significantly (especially in this ufo test), to some it may feel like they actually go back to ~100Hz ingame. Right, Ive tried blur Buster's blur reduction on my 24011z BenQ 144hz monitor and I actually experienced a really flashy gameplay experience and my eyes would twitch at the end of like 3 hours. But I wonder if the 240 would make all the difference in the world because with dyac it would use 240/2 = 120hz instead of 72hz? 🤔🤔
I keep DyAc+ off as well. But when i keep it on, it still feels like I'm using a high refresh rate but it looks like my opponent appears he's slightly behind where he actually is, which does screw up my aim.

Sorry if stupid question but...I just ordered all my parts to build my first PC and i was interested in this monitor but I don't understand when you say to run 240hz i need to use a displayport....can anybody elaborate?
I think for most high end gamers the sweet spot for a display will be a 2k 144hz because you can easily run it smoothly in most games with an rtx 2080 ti, and the option to have an ips panel is just perfect for people who prefer better colors.
On the s-switch "input" button...what is the function of that button? i press like millions time, nothing happen...please someone help me with this matter, tq
If you read special tests conducted by Blur Busters G-SYNC moduled 240hz Monitors have virtually no added input lag plus you get a better tear free experience. The problem with this monitor is that for the same price or less you can get the ASUS PG258Q ( that is what i use) or the ALIENWARE AW2518H which have a proper built in G SYnc module which by itself costs a lot therefor justifying their price tag much better than this.. Those are also much more beautiful pieces of tech than this one and also incorporate some form of lighting (RGB for the alienware) which all together add up.

@@Salted983 i like it i managed to find my for 375 shipped refurbished no dead pixels.. i would like the ability to have g sync or free sync but at high frame rates its not needed unless a game is capped at 60fps .. the better option is ROG XG248Q I would of bought one had i not known about it earlier.. its cheaper around 350.. got the same dyac type thing but asus version of it and g sync/free sync
@@SupaRush i see thank you so much 😊🌹
2:05 they’re not for blocking glaring in your room they’re for blocking out the crowd at lan events
Lower brightness doesn't bother you? Or didn't you use xl2411 at max brightness?
Hi BT!
I have a question - what do you think which one is better and why Alienware AW2518H or BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 and why? if you can't answer everything just leave a comment will you make a video about this?
I hope you guys understand that G-sync adds ~1ms according to various blurbusters' tests. So it really won't matter unless you are indeed a pro player in a lan.
Even then.. its only 1ms bruh.. what human can actually notice that. If they do its def placebo
How would you compare this to the Asus ROG? I'm currently rocking the ROG and wanted to swap to this instead.
Same here, i have the ROG PG258Q since 2 years and thinking to swap for this BenQ
That intro was so cool! Keep up the good work 💪
Man, i LOOOOVE your vids!!!!
my boy BT
I have the Alienware 240hz Gsync monitor, lets say money wasn’t an issue would recommend this over that?
Is it okay for productivity? Since I’m not gonna play game all day long.
Once you go high end monitor you physically can't look at a lower end monitor anymore
will i notice lag? I can only get 200+ fps (not reaching 240) and im planning to get a 240hz. i currently have a 75hz

I cracked my self from the start when u pulled the plastic off the logo.
😂😂😂
Sorry if stupid question but...I just ordered all my parts to build my first PC and i was interested in this monitor but I don't understand when you say to run 240hz i need to use a displayport....can anybody elaborate?
Good video. How does one get rid of the awful blur on some games with this monitor however?
How does it compare to the alienware 240 Hz? Is it better?
I think the zowie monitors have less motion blur. These are better for more competitive gamers
alienwar has worse colors
Oneplus 7 pro review !
Youd love the screen xD
Is this monitor also as good for console gaming?
I think for most high end gamers the sweet spot for a display will be a 2k 144hz because you can easily run it smoothly in most games with an rtx 2080 ti, and the option to have an ips panel is just perfect for people who prefer better colors.
That’s what I usually run for editing
wrong. 24 inch is best for FPS
When using DyAc was you using it at High or Premium
How does it compare to other 240hz screens though?
can you do a headset review in the future ?
Hey Brandon it will make my day if you saw this but keep up the great videos and the hard work you put in them 10 out of 10 in the editing and everything that goes into your chanel you really do deserve more subs and you are my favorite TH-camr have a great day
can you please fix the 250hz you have the in the description, its really bothering me.
That peel at the start looked sus... did you mess it up off camera BT?
Peel?
mint vid bt ;) monitor looks great
this or the aw2518hf? i really want the alienware one but i'm not a fan of the giagantic stand. also what are your pc specs?
nevermind lmao i'm getting the alienware one this ones 500$ LOL
reminded me alot of the features i have on my old lg 24gm77 especially with the motion 240 feature it's really similar to DyAc, except the lg is 144hz tn panel, i still use it and love it after 5 years of owning it haha
Hey bro! I got this monitor and i can't seem to adjust the height. In manual it says that you can adjust it with one finger. When i'm trying to pull it up or down, it doesn't move and i think it's gonna break. Really frustrated, can you please help?
Is the Xl2546K version that much better? Is it worth to pay more?
keep going , i follow u from KSA
Thank you shadow! Appreciate you bro!
great video bt!
Thanks Vulcan!
Would MMO games be good on this too? Completely new to this but will be buying a PC.
How does the PG258Q compare to this? I got mine from Amazon a week ago.
Outside of the monitor, which is amazing btw. What are those tube lights on the right and can you point me in the right direction to get some myself lol
I bought this about a year ago and still see reviews for it. 240hz is buttery smooth. I still prefer my 27" 144hz 1440p though. Can we get a 240hz 1440p now?
Kurt Hansen there is some lg monitor that was at CES this year that has native 1440p and 240hz
Can someone answer me please, which one should I buy BenQ Zowie XL2540 or alienware AW2518HF? I am a pro pharah player on overwatch
Hey BT, quick question not related to the video, what are the measurements of your desk?
72 x 30 inches it’s a uplift v2
@@BTaesthetics Thanks, i love all the content you've been putting up lately!
What's your opinion on a dual monitor setup with this being it's not the best at angles
