Sir, your trials and suffering have made you into who you are for a purpose. I pray you find that purpose. There is someone out there that needs a person just like you to help them.
Shawn you’re doing it the right way. As a parent of two adult kids and now a grandson I always had guns out and around my kids much in the way you do. My kids at 9 both took there first deer. At 10 they both started shooting USPSA matches with me. My daughter, who is now a proud mother, rocked a Glock 19. Her carry gun is a G43 and carry’s it religiously. My son stole my 1911 I built for competition and shot it in matches. He still has it to this day. When guns are something kept secretive from kids their curiosity is what gets many killed. My kids knew from very early ages what they were about. They learned to respect them. Keep doing what you’re doing.
My daughter grew up with firearms (retired law enforcement 30 years) shes 34 years old, and shown grown men how to put a Remington 870 barrel back on to the lower. Shes known for many years, finger off the trigger, and not to muzzle anything you do not want dead, or destroyed. She know the difference between a weapon and a tool. Start training your children as soon as they start asking questions about firearms. My daughter carries a G43, and a blade. She played attention to her daddy. Great show, y'all!! ❤

I have the Dynamis belt. I wear it damn near every day. In the front two pockets I put 3 stacks of 5 quarters each... With both pockets filled, it is a pretty significant option for self defense. Not overly bulky either.

My uncle was in WWII and switched to the USAF was an in country Vietnam pilot survival instructor. All the males in my family on both my American and Mexican side served. I took a different path but learned so much from my father and uncles. I was surprised how many soldiers and police carry a crucifix or Rosary. I became a deputy for 35 years and my EDC is a crucifix and a prayer, a knife in my left pocket, an auto or flip open by bench made. Hinged cuffs when in plain cloths because there is a reason. Phone, of course. I put my tourniquet on my left ankle because when you are in great pain the body will pull up into a fetal position naturally to protect other organs. Which makes it easier to grab the tourniquet from your ankle. And I just switched from a Glock 43XMOS with a holosun optic and raised fix sights and three 15 rd shield mags to the Sig P365 X with raised sights and 17round mag. I’m a Glock guy but my wife got me the Sig for Christmas and I’m extremely pleased with it. It’s a tiny bit bigger than my 43X but it is comfortable on my waist. I strongly suggest you rent one and try it out. I have been teaching CCW since Missouri past it and always told my students to by a Glock for all the great reasons they built into it. But the P365 with adjustable optics including NV capability puts it over the top for me

I’m so impressed and moved by his owning and sharing his use of the rosary as a part of his practice/ritual/routine to protect self and others. That’s powerful! What a beautiful strong example of a leader with talent, integrity, knowledge, and expertise in this vital area.
I love you guys introducing firearms to your kids at a young age. I am a retired Police Officer. I started teaching my son at a very early age firearms and safety. He will be 21 soon and his range and safety habits are much better than a lot of people I see at the range. You are doing it right!
So glad to finally hear someone speak of Adam! Not only were we both from Arkansas but for a short time we were neighbors in VaBch. I have also visited his resting place a few times.
Love Dom!! My dad supported at Little Creek, NSW Yorktown, Oceana. With trips to San Diego, Panama, Cuba (before and after Revolution), and more than I will ever know. He was a DDay vet, never "on the Teams," just support. Just like Dom, my Dad taught me the same way---even as a female. Can't wait to retire and get back home to Hampton Roads VA--where I feel more "at home."
The seal was trying to be respectful, in saying to keep all of the guns in a safe. you can tell he has taken an active roll in raising his children. and part of that is realizing how smart and resourceful, even a 2 year old can be. So if you think there's no way that that 2 year old can get to that gun, especially after you have told him "DANGEROUS" . That's like issuing a challenge to a 2 year old. When I was 2 years old my Dad told me not to ever try and start a car or mess with the gear shift. This was in 1960, he went into a store, and left me in the car (1958 Cadillac) with the keys on the dash. I got the keys off of the dash, put them in the ignition started the car, put it in reverse, backed out, put it in drive and idled on down the street. drove through a boat sales lot without hitting anything and a fence on the other side of the lot stopped me. After raising 3 little girls the minute you think or say to yourself they can't get into something or do something that's when you are in for an awakening. And there is nothing more heartbreaking in your life's experiences than being responsible injuring or killing your child. because you under estimated their intelligence or their abilities.
I love his outlook on firearms around his kids. I am the same exact way with my 2 boys. Normalize them being around but also teach the importance of safety.
I’m a father to be and this episode really really makes me happy and feel not alone for knowing I’m not the only one that understands that it’s not being paranoid it’s being prepared! I’ve had this mindset prior to becoming a dad but now it feels so much heavier, there’s a slight blanket of fear that looms over if anyone knows what I mean? Maybe just a father fearing what can happen to your baby? but then the defense kicks in and says no way and I start thinking about action plans.
The blade made after Adam Brown is very cool. I've read his book multiple times and it is very inspiring from what he went through before joining the military to becoming the best of the best. That passing of the blade was very cool. The respect recognized. Love the contents and the interviews. All bad ass. I'm subscribed on TH-cam and the Podcast. Thanks for all of it. V/r, Antonio

DJ and Eddie Penny’s episodes were my fav but Doms 100% took the top spot. Absolutely incredible the raw emotions at times were heartbreaking and somehow inspiring at the same time.
Amazing how many guys carry their military experience into civilian life. I remember running my first two sons 1967 and 1972 with a military sort of attitude. By the time they were each 13 they could each hold their own with 1911's, AK's and AR's. Time passed... but I didn't prepare them well enough to reject peer pressure and drugs and alcohol. Both brilliant academically and athletically in Catholic schools but both fell victims to alcohol and drugs. They are okay now... most of the time. Didn't make the same mistake with my second set of sons 1987, 1990 and 1992. A lawyer, a businessman and a commercial pilot. There is a lot more than bad guys that you have to protect your family from. By the way: There are some really good books out there on fathering. Wish I had read them in 1966. My CC... Sig 226 in 357 Sig. or 40. Mexican carry with a Clipdraw.
Let them handle unloaded weapons. Supervised. My babies were like 5-6 when I started showing them how firearms operate. Gun Safety. Clearing a loaded weapon. Pistols, shotgun and AR. They saw them almost daily coming and going from work. They got to be as interesting as a lamp post to them so there was no fascination. Watch their friends though. Mine are in college now rocking their own G19's.
Shawn can you get Kevin Holland? Dude is a legend. I think he has only done one podcast and that was with Jack Carr. Not only is he legend for what he has accomplished in his military career but he is also one of the most humble people I have ever known and I am proud to know him
I remember my Dad checking out M1 Garands from his submarine's armory when I was in 6th grade, 12 years old. He also had access to unlimited bandoliers of FMJ ammo. We'd go to the range and shoot maybe 400 rounds of 30-06 between my brother, me and Dad. That same year, his crew started a gun club and were able to order most manufacturers of guns, Winchester, Remington, Ithaca, etc.. When I asked if I could buy a .22, a shotgun and a deer rifle, he OK'd it as long as I paid for half. I had some money via lawn mowing/baby sitting in the neighborhood and ended up with an Ithaca model 37 12 gauge, a Remington model 700 ADL 30-06 and a semi auto Marlin .22. This was in 1971. That was my introduction to firearms.
Great nod to the Knights Templar, Rosary, took me deep with the Trigger. Awesome sit and chat with a Great Warrior, especially on the use of the blade. Took a few sessions from Frank Cucci in Norfolk back in the 90's, while I was on tdy, on strikes (Kali, Escrima) and blew me away with realism in these kinds of situations. it's not what you would think, but when you're in, realize the effectiveness, on bleeding a guy out. Also had a chance to see different approaches on footwork (Angel Cabales-derivatives), hand checking, that South East Asian take, nasty. Some of those guys, in close, wicked. Definetly just another skill set/tools, that covers the ranges/DTE, very in close and personal. Thanks Shawn, love the info.
My Father belonged to a sportsmans club so he took us 3 little kids on Saturdays. Started us with a .22 bolt action rifle, then .410 single shot and finally 12 guage and big bore rifles as we aged. We reloaded shotgun shells as a family. We shot a lot of clay pidgeons.
Well adding my rosary to my edc routine! My #1 is my Benchmade SOCP, then a Microtech auto of some sort, olight baton3 pro max flashlight and either my full size M&P 9 or Sig 365XL spare mag phone watch and wallet.
Shawn we need more blades! This guy understands what Shawn means when he asks about edc. Especially when it comes to the meanings on why you would carry such an item. Never leave home without your blade and pew. I carry the Razorback as well. Big fan of Winkler which in turn is how i found the razorback. I was also stationed at LRAFB so i heard all the WooPig i wanted to hear. I also carry the dango p01. The pen slot is wonderful. They have the best wallets by far.

Retired cop here. Great discussion! I can tell you a personal story with children and firearms. I have a permanent reminder of an incident with my son, with whom I started “desensitization” training from the time he started walking. Thank you for sharing your methodology.
As a cop i assume in the usa, what do you think about hanging guns in a childs room, am i out of line saying that is ridiculous, or is that standard practice in the us. And can i ask what happened with your son as i have firearms and would like to protect them as best i can.
I’ve been around firearms since I can remember.. when the house I was raised in was being remodeled, my bed was moved into a spare room. The gun rack was on the wall filled with the main hunting guns. From .22 to 30-06. I was around 8 yrs old. I don’t remember them teaching me about them, but Inalways just seemed to know not to mess around with them. I would take the 30-06 down and look through the scoop out the window sometimes, but I remember that even was something I was cautious about. To this day the golden rules of firearms are muscle memory and not even a conscious thought to follow, they are just an automatic follow.
@@TheAshlec It's a long story, but I'll gladly share it if it will save a child and keep a parent from utter sadness, as I do in my civilian firearms training classes. Basically, I tried to desensitize him to the mystique of guns by letting him be around my firearms while cleaning and maintaining them since he could walk. As he got older, I repeated firearms safety to him constantly when he was around my firearms. I kept my firearms in a safe when not in use, except for my EDC pistol, which I always kept on me or with reach of me, but out of reach from my toddler kids. When he was 5, I took him with me on a shooting trip with some church youth. I let him shoot some of my firearms, with my assistance, shooting at water filled bottles to show what real destruction firearms can cause. After getting home, he was in the garage with me while I cleaned the firearms we shot on the trip. I cleaned and loaded my EDC pistol, a Sig Sauer P229 loaded with 147 gr. Remington Golden Saber ammunition, and put it in my holster, storing it in the cabinet above my work bench while I cleaned the other firearms. He helped me carry my gear out to my undercover car, but dropped what he was carrying at my feet as I was putting things back in the storage box I had built in my car. Unbeknownst to me, he ran back in the garage, climbed up on my work bench, and took my EDC pistol out of the cabinet. He then pulled the pistol out of the holster, cocked the hammer, and pulled the trigger. He shot through his upper thigh, in and out. The bullet continued through the edge of the chair in which he was seated and into his calf and out the other side, luckily missing his bones and arteries. As I ran back into the garage to see what I thought would be my dying son, he looked at me and said, "Daddy, guns should be unloaded." That is what I taught him about the condition firearms should be in while cleaning, emphasizing that to him about double checking prior to any weapon manipulations. I don't leave firearms lying around for children to access, which is why I didn't lose my children, my career, or go to prison for negligent storage of firearms. If you aren't going to lock up your firearms, don't have any ammunition accessible to unintended persons, especially children. There is no amount of exposure you can give to a small child to take away the allure of playing with firearms. I should have strapped my EDC pistol back to my body, but screwed up that day. Luckily, all I have is the scars on his leg to remind me of my stupidity every time we work out together.
I love the airplane reference. I travel 80% of the year for work and bought a seatbelt extension for an airplane seatbelt for that that exact reason. It’s a discreet weapon within reach if the need ever arises.
Loving your show Shawn, and proud to have you in my state. I don't know how you decide who to interview, but I would love to see your interview Sentor J.D. Vance. Not even about his politics so much as his background and history he has many interesting stories to tell, and I'd genuinely like to just learn more about him. Your one of the few honest interviewers that might let him tell his story without spinning it. I am not even sure I am a fan he's said some stuff I highly disagree with, but like vivek I'd just like to hear his own words. Keep up the awesome work!
I love his perspective on teaching his children. We judged it by each of our kids as well. Once they understood, we started teaching them. I feel like it is our responsibility to teach them if we have weapons in the house. (Even though we kept them in safes throughout the house) My 3 boys were a little older when they learned between 7-10. They matured slower and we took their lead. But my daughter understood and asked the right questions starting at 5. She is the best shot of the 4 of them. My kids are all adults now and I feel such a relief that they know how to protect themselves responsibly. My daughter is only 20 so no open carry for her yet but when the time comes I know she is ready and safe. I've heard to many stories of kids finding their parents guns and accidently hurting themselves or someone else. Kids don't know until parents teach.
Man shawn it was awesome hearing you say your son points at the firearm and says gun very dangerous. Im always building, buying, and working on firearms and as soon as my 2 year old started really speaking i started teaching him the words gun and no no together...even now a year later he refers to firearms as gun no no. Im not ready to fully introduce him to firearms yet but id say we'll probably start touching the subject more in about another year!
Purpose driven is how it should be. I have one of his blades I have his Revere blade and hands-down it is The best blade I’ve ever purchased. I carry it every single day because it is a knife that is designed for that.

Respect for all of those who have taken that choice to put themselves on the line for the freedoms we all have. Thank you
The keep in a safe piece of mind is 100% spot on. When my pops was 16 years old, he skipped school with some friends. They went back to his house, he was showing everyone his dad’s guns that were all over the house. Well the got to the hunting rifle. My dad pulled the bolt back and the round popped out, he took that round pushed it down into the space the rounds feed up. Closed the bolt with nothing in the chamber and pulled the trigger. Set the gun back down, another kid picked it up and did the same thing, but he didn’t push the bullet all the way down and it went into the chamber. When he pulled the trigger, he blew my dad’s best friends head off that was standing right next to him. My pops has a scar on his face from where the skull sliced him open
I wanted to comment the same! Shawn’s extremely underestimating a toddler ability to climb to curiosity! I have 2 kids, it’s amazing how fast they figure out how to open “childproof” cabinets, doors, etc
Hell ya. I started both my kids at 4 for familiarity and understanding. Daughter started shooting 22 when she was 6 and I got the whole first shoot on video.
@@spudbeans22it's a tool. it's better to know how to use a tool at all times you never know when you might have to he around or use one. If everyone respected the tool there would be alot violence in society.
I raised three kids. I have owned and used guns since I was a kid. You must expose your kids to shooting a real gun as young as possible. Kids - and/or their friends - will find your guns regardless of how well you think you hid them. If all they ever know is a toy where pulling the trigger has no consequence, they will treat a real gun like a toy. If they, like my kids, shoot (while dad is also holding the gun) real guns, they understand the power and consequence of pulling that trigger.
All depends on a few things: 1.) local laws: they’re different from state to state. Know the ordinances in your city too by the way. Here: no Bowie knives, no daggers, no dirks, and you better watch the length. 2.) know the basics of steel qualities: carbon vs stainless. If you’re on the coast then rust will be an issue. 3.) purpose/use: EDC utility vs pokey pokey stuff What do you need the knife to do? Wood work, cardboard, slice apples, slice meat??? 4.) How are you going to carry it? Pocket with clip, on your belt, strapped to your forearm under a sleeve? I usually carry horizontal on the left 10:30-11:00, that way I can reach it with either hand and it’s not in the way when I sit or drive. 5.) How easily can you replace it if you lose it? What if it falls out of your pocket on trail, falls overboard when fishing, or you get searched by the cops and they want it so they “confiscate” it. Can you replace it easily? Most people don’t plan for that one. Depends on how big you want to go, but here are a few suggestions. Be sure to look around and hunt for deals: ESEE Izula with extended TKC handle scales, 3, AGK, or the like in S35VN Tops El Pionero or Silent Hero 4 (1095; strong but beware rust) Condor BushScot in 14C28N Mora Companion, Bushcraft, Eldris CRKT Minimalist drop point in 154cm The list just goes on man. If you’re not careful, you’ll turn into a gear junkie like me! I hope this helps some, God bless and be safe.
One of my first memories was of shooting as a kid. I started my daughter shooting around 3-4 she was putting rounds down with my AR at 5. Got her first AR when she was 10, now at 12 she has 5 rifles. Living in Alaska she shot her first caribou at 9 ducks at 7-8

I’ve always passed a fixed blade knife with the handle towards who I’m passing it to, obviously it’s a courtesy so they don’t have to grab the blade, but it’s also a small sign of trust, handing someone a weapon with the weapon pointed at yourself.

❤
Been following Dom for awhile. Really appreciate his conviction on Faith and Fatherhood. I have a bunch of his gear, the rosary, 1.5 LoPro belt, tek shorts, and a few of his shirts. Absolutely love all his products but the belt is definitely my favorite. Cant wait for the full episode to drop. Thank you both for your service. All the best to you both
We need Nicholas Irving “The Reaper” on this show
Fuck yeah
Good call out.
AMEN BROTHER!!!!! FUCK YA
Chad wright , Jake zwieg
Ihe was on the Mike Drop podcast. Watch it. Mike Ritland is very underrated.
This is the secod time the algorythm sends this video my way. And I love it. The fact that a man, let alone a former seal operator, is firm in his faith and beliefs like he is is refreshing.
Seriously, as a non American who served in Europe and now Middle East, so much respect for Shawn. Finally some insider who really knows how our industry works. A listening ear, we may be serve in different agencies, but we’re brothers bro. Keep up the good work.
THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME ON BROTHER! CRUSH EVERYTHING
What tattoos are on your forearms? Latin? Meaning?
I noticed you said and it’s 11:11 I see it all the time too.
I have the Dynamis belt. I wear it damn near every day. In the front two pockets I put 3 stacks of 5 quarters each... With both pockets filled, it is a pretty significant option for self defense. Not overly bulky either.
Hey man so ive had a little look at your website after seeing this video and i was just wondering if you shipped to The UK? Love to get my hands on some of those gloves and a belt.
There is absolutely no special way to pass a blade, buddy.. get over yourself 😂 the thing is in its sheath! You gotta pass it like a bro handshake.. just another devgru guy that enjoys the smell of his own shit. 🤦🏻♂️
But the P365 with adjustable optics including NV capability puts it over the top for me
This guy is my favorite guest you’ve had on, absolutely love his testimony and fearless example of faith !
The Filipinos are some of the best knife fighters in the world, and often train and work with our military. There soldiers are very loyal and tough, support from Australia 🇦🇺 guy's.
There soldiers? 😂
Filipino Mafia has entered the chat
Thank you 🇵🇭 for recognizing FMA
If anyone is curious the TQ Dom carries is the SnakeStaff Systems EDC TQ 1” model. Great EDC TQ and only around $40.
Appreciate that alone with the details.
Amen to the first part of his edc. Love how he didn’t just gloss over it but actually displayed his passion for it and its importance to him.
I 100% agree with him that the p365 is an excellent EDC platform. Reliable, modular, and small.
I love his outlook on firearms around his kids. I am the same exact way with my 2 boys. Normalize them being around but also teach the importance of safety.
Man the becoming aware of every situation and scenario after you have a kid is real! Thanks for sharing with us!
When he passes the knife he won’t do it unless it’s the proper way. I want to learn more about that. It speaks volumes.
I really like these EDC videos for the guests. It is a good teaser for the full show.
Been waiting for this one!
" we're not paranoid, we're prepared"
The blade made after Adam Brown is very cool. I've read his book multiple times and it is very inspiring from what he went through before joining the military to becoming the best of the best. That passing of the blade was very cool. The respect recognized. Love the contents and the interviews. All bad ass. I'm subscribed on TH-cam and the Podcast. Thanks for all of it. V/r, Antonio
I would also advise everyone to carry narcan on them. One of the most trivial ways to save a life. I carry my handgun, a knife etc. every day. The only one I’ve had to use so far is the narcan. I do not live in an inner city btw lol
DJ and Eddie Penny’s episodes were my fav but Doms 100% took the top spot. Absolutely incredible the raw emotions at times were heartbreaking and somehow inspiring at the same time.
3:22 You can tell that he deeply loves and misses Adam. That was so genuine.
As amazing as your entire show is Shawn, EDC is one of the most valuable parts. Never stop! 🙏💯
I love how he started with the rosary! 🙌
Shawn can you get Kevin Holland? Dude is a legend. I think he has only done one podcast and that was with Jack Carr. Not only is he legend for what he has accomplished in his military career but he is also one of the most humble people I have ever known and I am proud to know him
Absolutely
Team 6 guy then went to Delta!...don't know how many have done that, if any...
That was my introduction to firearms.
love that Marlin
Very efficiently articulated on introducing kids to firearms my 5 year old son puts his gel blaster on safe and stays high ready makes me so proud 👏
Well adding my rosary to my edc routine! My #1 is my Benchmade SOCP, then a Microtech auto of some sort, olight baton3 pro max flashlight and either my full size M&P 9 or Sig 365XL spare mag phone watch and wallet.
Started teaching my son the same way at 2, he killed his first deer at 7hrs old with my great grandfather’s 03’ Springfield 30-06 at 120yrds.
Love this since Dom has built his business around everyday carry. Highly recommend the Tek pants and pretty much everything he sells
Thank you!!
This is my favorite EDC by far. Such a genuine guy and i couldn’t believe he kept pulling more and more stuff out. 😂😂
oh man I fkn love the specific way Dom passes along his blade. Nostalgic to the core for me. I need one of these blades!
What I liked most, was he cares about his family so much that he has designed his EDC around their protection! Man that's awesome!
Snakestaff system is the company for the tourniquet. Great company. They also have IFAK kits.
Thx, just ordered a few.
You’re the real hero here. I had to go way too deep in the comments to find this. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to carry a decent TQ for years and finally have found this one. You should be getting a commission from the company because I already put in an order for some of their stuff.
@@jwilliams3170my pleasure I carry mine religiously. I’m retired LEO and now I do executive protection so the tourniquet system goes with everywhere everyday.
Go to website “crush everything” for his knife, belt and the combat flathead
Ordered!!
A 30-minute pocket dump. Epic! Thanks, Shawn & Dom.
Finally, a guest that loves EDC!! Good stuff
Wearing my Dynamis belt while watching this. Had it for over a year maybe and zero complaints. Love it. Sssooo low profile.
Protect the kids from the firearms that is
This is not standard practice in the USA.
I’ve been around firearms since I can remember.. when the house I was raised in was being remodeled, my bed was moved into a spare room. The gun rack was on the wall filled with the main hunting guns. From
.22 to 30-06.
LMAO ok john wick wannabe FOH
Total respect to the both of you! The show has become a must watch
Love how you guys fixed that pass 👍💯
Both. Man you are doing the greatest interviews!
Would love to know the history of why the blade should always be handed off like that. Seems like its got a helluva backstory like the rosary.
I really enjoy listening to Dom. He is a smooth, clear communicator.
Purpose Driven EDC. Big Respect.
Purpose driven is how it should be. I have one of his blades I have his Revere blade and hands-down it is The best blade I’ve ever purchased. I carry it every single day because it is a knife that is designed for that.
Prepared and ready ,by far best EDC breakdown, to date . Thank you for sharing
This is a real warrior moment. Dom is a Beast. Sean, you are, too. Absolutely fascinating podcast. I completely agree with Doms mindset. What a fascinating man.
LEGIT 🤙 Respect to you both ❤ Thank you for bringing your light to the world. God bless you ! As always, Shawn, great work and well done on keeping hope alive. God is good
Really enjoyed this interview. One of my biggest regrets in life was never taking the opportunity to enlist into the military….I took a wrestling scholarship to college based on the influence of my mother. Respect for all of those who have taken that choice to put themselves on the line for the freedoms we all have. Thank you
Can't wait for the full release! Loving the content man, makes work go so much smoother!
Nothing is out of a 2-year-old's reach. They are extremely resourceful and will greatly surprise even the most savvy parent. Be safe, everyone.
I wanted to comment the same! Shawn’s extremely underestimating a toddler ability to climb to curiosity! I have 2 kids, it’s amazing how fast they figure out how to open “childproof” cabinets, doors, etc
He's definitely correct about spiritual warfare. 🙏
Thank you for sharing 🙏
Hell ya. I started both my kids at 4 for familiarity and understanding. Daughter started shooting 22 when she was 6 and I got the whole first shoot on video.
what r u training them for tho
@@spudbeans22it's a tool. it's better to know how to use a tool at all times you never know when you might have to he around or use one. If everyone respected the tool there would be alot violence in society.
The Snakestaff Systems everyday carry tourniquet (ETQ) is the first windlass style TQ designed specifically for EDC.
Always nice to see a pro who knows his stuff but isn't trying to prove a point/is down to earth ... great interview 👍 Sig must be thrilled to😊
Been running that same Dango wallet for years now. It's been through hell, and it's about time for another notebook. Absolutely love this thing.
Guns are illegal outside the USA.
hence why we have less folks dying
I got a .22 viper at 6yrs.
Always had a bb gun.
A 12 gauge at 12 yrs.
30\30 at 15 or 16.
Thanks Dad!
Beautiful knife but unfortunately way out of my budget, maybe Dom can recommend one that’s $50 or less for us on a tight budget.
Agreed, I can't spend hundreds of dollars on a blade. I can barely afford an effective edc
Google “EDC on a budget”. Also, Cold Steel makes smaller & more affordable knives. So does MTech.
All depends on a few things:
1.) local laws: they’re different from state to state. Know the ordinances in your city too by the way.
Here: no Bowie knives, no daggers, no dirks, and you better watch the length.
2.) know the basics of steel qualities: carbon vs stainless.
If you’re on the coast then rust will be an issue.
3.) purpose/use: EDC utility vs pokey pokey stuff
What do you need the knife to do?
Be sure to look around and hunt for deals:
ESEE Izula with extended TKC handle scales, 3, AGK, or the like in S35VN
Tops El Pionero or Silent Hero 4 (1095; strong but beware rust)
Condor BushScot in 14C28N
Mora Companion, Bushcraft, Eldris
CRKT Minimalist drop point in 154cm
The list just goes on man.
Living in Alaska she shot her first caribou at 9 ducks at 7-8
Whaaaat, a true Son of Mary? YES!!!!
THIS IS SO RAD, his Rosary is number one.😅
A virtuous man stands in front of the world devil and flesh and says,
😡you gotta go thru ME to get to them!😡 (his family). I cannot wait to see this episode❤️🔥
Please please pleeeeease Shawn, have Fr Donald Calloway on, he's all about the history of the Rosary and Our Lady. His personal story is on TH-cam and its knarly, his rebound is unreal
Or better yet,
😳Fr Chad Ripperger😳!
He's exactly what you'd expect a special operator to look and sound like. These guys are a rare breed!
I am impressed that the first thing he mentioned was a rosary.
Amazing episode Shawn! That Dom is dialed in man, spiritually & in so many ways! I think we all learn something paying attention to Dom, most importantly he brought me closer to my faith in Jesus, just like you have done Shawn...thank you.
@Shawn Ryan Show Please please please do a whole show of him sharing stories about Adam Brown.
Absolutely agree! Adam Brown is so cool!
Great episode with Dom, Shawn!
You should look into getting John “Tilt” Stryker Meyer on the show. He’s a Vietnam MACV-SOG guy who recently moved to the Nashvill/Franklin area I believe. Much love brother
Man he is a great coach!!
Dude starts with a rosary as his #1 defense item? Based
SRS, Please do an entire segment on Adam Brown. We need to get a bigger, better picture of who he was to you as well as our community.
I love the belt thing, this made me remember my dad he used to tell me look son anything Can be a weapon even a toothbrush look yoursurroundings and think How to survive in from colombia and i was under asylum in the 90s, everyone in my house was paranoic with security issues, i loved this interview made me remember my old folk
God bless and thank you for the amazing shows!
Awesome I carry a combat rosary on my left everyday. Great to see others also having that devotion.
Dude Adam brown is a freaking legend!
Glad to see the holy rosary in his EDC. Look up the battle of Lepanto if you don’t know what that is. The rosary won the Catholics this battle against the Muslims in the 16th century
A concerned citizen here, i was wondering if Dom and his associates are considering developing a blade that is more affordable for responsible citizens who desire to own one, i believe 150.00 would be a sweet spot, respectfully of course, and thank you. Im ordering the the G-10 i have two car notes and a mortgage LOL.
I’ve always passed a fixed blade knife with the handle towards who I’m passing it to, obviously it’s a courtesy so they don’t have to grab the blade, but it’s also a small sign of trust, handing someone a weapon with the weapon pointed at yourself.
I really hope it's gonna be better than last guest. This dude was crazy
That’s rich. The thing I love about Ryan is that he keeps an open mind, to at the very least hear everyone out. We now know where you stand
1st episode i had to turn off. Dude was off his rocker
Billy Carson? You didnt enjoy that episode? I enjoyed every second of the Billy Carson episode. I find Carson to be an extremely intelligent person, I admire his dedication. What is it about the episode or Billy Carson that has put you off?
@@Firstclass_Caputo I’m trying to understand that as well. I know it sounds crazy to people but he actually says “don’t listen to him, here’s the info to do your own research!” I don’t expect everyone to agree with him on everything , not even Ryan but cmon man. There are sooo many questions, Billy at least is looking for answers
@@avonbarksdale2506 I don’t know who isn’t a little “crazy” on Ryan’s shows. These are fringe people that are exposed to things regular people don’t get to see…hey I’m here for it! Hey Elon must be off his rocker also!! Ha!
I have and use one of those belts, Dynamis as a company has great customer service, I won’t bore anyone with the story but just know they care about their customers.
Why the weird hand off of the knife
He was refusing to hand it off but the blade or receive it by the blade. One it’s building awareness. Two of your handing off for the other to use it’s in their hand in the position to deploy immediately.
He mentioned it in the video, but he trained Sayoc Kali, they pass the blade in this manner.
