FYI. That battery is for the digital part. The mechanical has a different battery beneath the board. This other video has a good way of getting to it. th-cam.com/video/F4GRSQ2nDio/w-d-xo.html
The content of this video helps you get TO the battery. Once you follow the instructions I have laid out to get To the battery, replacing the battery is child’s play. Literally take the battery out and put the new one in. It’s that simple.
@@timg9448 Aren't their 2 batteries? Isn't one behind part of the inner works? Don't you have to "ground the battery to something called the "A/c"? What are the batteries anyway? Doesn't sound like child's play to me. I think you owe us another YT tutorial. Please.
Carlos Dominguez Yes, I thought it was strange that none of my tools actually fit those “bolts.” Nothing fit the hex-heads, so I used the universal tool that always works... the knive. Pulled them right out.
I could not figure out how to change the battery. The stupid instructions that came with the watch didn't even show how to do it! The God for your video!
This is what’s funny to me, out of all the videos I’ve done as How-to’s this was the one I never expected to get any traction… but I get more positive comments on this one saying it was helpful, that they might have never figured out how to get the “hex-bolts” out to remove the strap…. I Love It!! Thank You ALL for the positive responses!! Love Y’all! And subscribe please;-D
Thank for the information, first I thought those four push in like rods were screws in like my G-shock military watch. Now,I just replace the battery just like most watches.
Tim G How has these watches held up overtime? I work as a heavy hauler slinging chains and hauling equipment out in the elements. For the price, how do they hold up?
Mr. Doodad I don’t know how resilient these watches are. I don’t wear it all that much. I know it is larger & tends to get in the way more than my other watches. It’s a big watch, so I expect it may get beat up or scratched more easily than most. Looks like it can handle some work though.
Tim G Ok I ordered one. Might try it out For a while to see if i like it. If the size and aesthetics work for me might sell some other watches and go on and get the real Casio Gshock mudmaster. Time will tell.
Agreed. It would have been helpful to have had the different battery numbers and how to get to that second one. Now I’ve got to look for another video that covers this watch.
chris sydenham Thanks mate, glad it helped. I was surprised to see that they didn’t include these instructions with the watch. You’re left on your own to figure out how to place the battery in the watch so it works. Crazy
@@timg9448 Also found out there's a battery behind the 2025 that powers the anolog hands. You have to unscrew the white back panel to reveal. Thanks again.
He does not tell us how to change the battery as in his title, in fact he does not even tell us there are two batteries in this watch; one for the digital mechanism and one for the analog mechanism !!!
Thanks.... with your help, within 5 minutes had the battery out..

Wow..thank you so much. I have tried everything but cutting the band. This watch has been sitting on my husband's desk so long. Great instructions.
Cindy williamson I’m glad it was helpful. I have been pleasantly surprised by how many people have found this one helpful. I’m glad I made the video.
Very helpful, saved me a lot of time looking for an allen key.
i know i am very late to this party, but this has proven to be the most usefull video of the day, thank you
Nice!! Thanks for this reply!!! Lmk if there’s any other repair type stuff you’d like to see

Thank you for taking the time to figure that out! You Rock!! Much Gratitude!!
This was really helpful! Thanks!
What I really needed to see was how to replace the battery.

Nice job. Short and sweet. That’s all the info I need accept, what battery does it take? Thanks for doing the video. 👍🏻
Had it not been for your, id have still tried to turn those damn things around, thank you 😂
Thanks for the info. Could not figure out how to do this. I love You Tube!!
Thanks for the video really helped
Great video. Got one for my son and needed to replace. Spent a while trying to remove those screws. SMH they are pins.

Great instruktions 👍🏻😁
thank you, thank you
I would have never figured this out. Thanks much!
dorset za Those fake screws on the side are tricky!!
Thanks man!
I’m glad this helped you - I’m trying to grow this channel, if there’s any other topics you can suggest for a video, I’d be glad to hear them. Thanks

Mr. Doodad good plan. The G-Shock is quite a bit more, so trying this similar watch first, to see if you like it, is smart.
There are TWO batteries in the SMAEL--need to show battery replacement. It is NOT a waste of time.
Agreed. It would have been helpful to have had the different battery numbers and how to get to that second one. Now I’ve got to look for another video that covers this watch.
Thanks got to the bit where you have to remove the four tiny screws to reach the battery and found I’ve no screwdriver that fits…😡
Perfect demonstration! Cheers.

James Lucas I’m glad it helped. It took me a bit to figure it out myself. The push pins that look like hex bolts were sneaky-
Tim G I wish I had seen your video before changing mine's battery first....I will apply this next time!
Thanks so much for this!
Eddie's VLOGS I’m glad it helped you.
Good day Sir, just want to ask if G- Shock strap fit to Smael watch? Thank you.
No, the straps are not interchangeable.
Sir, hope you don't mind but, is there an alternative strap that will fit in if the Smael watch strap is broken? Thank you Sir.
@@sayamdiangeloroque9066 I have replacement straps with the stainless Buckle- exactly like the original Smael straps. Both in a set.
Thank you
Very welcome! I’m glad it helped. It’s a tricky design- gotta hand it to them for that!
Thanks, last minute help. :-)
Great! Thank you.
HugoStiglitz I’m glad it helped.
Thanks!
Hate this watch but great video
I have the 9068 model but can't get to change the battery on it skmei
Sophie Rogers send a picture of it, I might be able to help. I’ll check and see if I have one.
I just checked. It is exactly the same procedure as what is in this video. Same.
I like your knife...what brand is it?
If it’s the red/black one it’s a Snap-On brand made by Kershaw. One of my favorite knives
I found you thinking how to do it. thanks.
My new one has screws exposed 😎
I mailed your a letter, did you get it? :) Thanks for the helpful video.
Sherifx -That’s hilarious, it took me a minute, but as soon as I saw this, what you see in the background, I laughed my ass off;-)
They don't screw just pull them out
Este tipo de correas son muy malas , si se rompen ....cuestan más que el reloj o son muy difíciles de conseguir .
what movement is it? quarts perhaps? I've heard people say that it doesn't keep accurate time, is this true?
mikepentop Mine keeps Very accurate time. No adjustments needed yet.

ROFL - all I wanted to see is what battery was in the watch. All you did was take off the strap you NUMPTY!!!
Ben Guy-Williams if you’re still curious, take the battery OUT and you’ll surely see the number on the battery!
You never replaced the battery tho
smeatr0n SMH!
i watched this whole video to see how to change the battery! Waste of time?
Sorry, the remedial version failed to upload.
You do not have to remove the strap of your watch to get to the four little screws.
Awful view.... Awful audio... 👎
Thanks!
