That's the trouble when you release trashy songs and sell yourself based on image rather than vocal. It's a shame sure didn't just go down this route rather than the genetic pop songs that the Pussy Cat Dolls released
@@Mania28 A lot of times, these singers have to do what they gotta do to make it. Micheal Bolton is an example of this. He was a great rock singer who made more money and fame singing sappy love songs. He couldn't make it as a rock singer, even though Black Sabbath was looking at him as a replacement.
I mean, that is all true, but I’m sure she enjoyed doing the trashy songs, there’s nothing bad about them, nothing bad about liking them, she sang her behind off in PCD as well. There’s no reason to trash talk her past work. She is that and she is this, and it’s all good because she’s good.

Nicole is BY FAR one of the best female vocalists out there. She can sing, she can dance, she’s funny, gorgeous, she’s basically perfect. So underrated!
I'd say one of the best female vocalists of today's generation, but there are women with better voices.

Bc her solo songs were mainly pop trash; but she can deliver way more than just pop trash.

Her voice is so technically amazing and I have youtubed this performance a lot just to hear her sing this song. I would love to see her on broadway. Its kind of sad almost that she's done pop for so long. I loved her band and solo career and had no idea for the longest time that her vocals are so incredible.

I didn't. I saw her on something, I forget now what show it was, and they said she was singing and I thought "Isn't she that chick from the Pussycat Dolls?" and I nearly didn't watch her. Blown. Away. She was wasted in pop music.

I didn't until about a year ago. I normally listen to metal and rock so I didn't know much about her. After hearing Slash ft Nicole Scherzinger & Alice Cooper - Baby Can't Drive, I believe anything from her. I had entirely new respect for her singing capabilities.

I've loved this musical since I was young, it's dated a bit now but I still adore it! Nicole totally surprised me with how well she handled it as a 'pop' singer! I will now spend today trying to hit that high note in falsetto.
She’s classically trained so she had a bit of experience before actually becoming a “pop” singer

Bearded Guy : Ramin Karimloo - one of best known modern actors in the role, thanks to his performance in the 25th anniversary concert
Grey hair : - Simon Bowman - best known for originating the role of Chris in Miss Saigon opposite Lea Salonga
Guy with bang : - John Owen-Jones (aka JOJ) - generally thought of as one of the best Phantoms and is one of the actors who has played the role the most times in the world (same is true for his time in Les Mis as Valjean)
The last guy : - Earl Carpenter - like JOJ he is generally thought to be one of the best in the role (and also has a long history with Les Mis - just as Javert instead of Valjean)
I remember one time when she sang a duet with an X Factor contestant and a microphone went dead and she instantly ran over to the singer and shared the microphone and it was seamless and made the performance that much better.
You should check out Ramin Karimloo (bearded phantom) and Sierra Boggess’ performances of this song!

Ever since I saw this a few years ago, I keep coming back to it - really one of the most amazing (and yes, theatrical) female vocals I've ever heard! My opinion of Nicole totally change with this - her control, her skill, her lung capacity~ Good Lord! Thanks for doing this one, Georgina!

It is so sad that probably the early songs and her affiliation with Pussycat Dolls framed her a certain way. She has an amazing voice!!!!!! Beautiful. One of the best performances of POTO I’ve ever seen.
What I loved most about that final note is that it didn't sound screechy at all. It sounded so clear and controlled and beautiful. I've heard so many versions of it where it just sounds like the singer is screaming it out - this was perfect.
The first 2 Phantoms I have seen live. John Owen Jones has such power in his voice, that it made ever so emotional. But when I saw Ramin Karimloo singing with Sierra Boggess, my heart was so fulfilled. Ramin is and always will be my favourite Phantom. Great review.
Mine too - I've seen Simon and John and they were both amazing too - but Ramin is breathtaking. So, so glad I got to see him perform the role (and a bunch of other stuff too).

I'm so glad that you covered this. I found this clip a few years ago I'm phantom mad and have been fortunate too have preformed in a production many years ago. Nicola has a voice that could cover so many different rolls and I would love to see her perform Christine in the phantom
