CELEBRATE THE 70s! People Magazine Compilation of the Stars, Fads, & Fashions!
Hi Friends!
In this video, I do a soft-spoken flip of People Magazine's compilation celebrating all things 70s! They put it all into a book that I will walk you through, giving my thoughts and opinions, of course! Lol!
I apologize for the bumps and knocks during the page turning. I was hitting the cord and didn't know it. It's SOOO super sensitive and every hit is a big sound. I will definitely work on this!
Thank you so much for your support! All the "Cups of Coffee" you've gotten me went to some cool things like this book! VERY appreciated!
Hugs from me to you!
Very warmly,
Jeannie

Jeannie, I was born in 1962. My favorite things about the 70's was that it was a lot more innocent times compared to today. We didn't have cell phone, computers and endless entertainment at our fingertips. We had our imagination and being outdoors until it was time to come in. The music was the most diverse and best in my opinion.
That’s exactly right! ♥️
I was born in 1963, & Jeannie reminds me of memories I forgot I even had! I get sleep & I get memories! Thanks Jeannie
Born in 1962 as well. Miss those days 😢
I was born in 2001 I envy all of u that grew up in 70s and 80s seemed like all human connections were more genuine and life was more happy.
Exactly. Kids had a lot more freedom. We used to play in a construction zone across the street and never gave a thought to the nails and bricks and other items lying around. We were smart enough to know not to step on them! No helmets or kneepads when we rode our bikes. Freedom.....
I was born in '73, so I remember a little, I remember watching "Loveboat" with my mother, on a fridaynight, in my pajama en wet hair 😍 thank you Jeanny, really love this video ❤ I really miss those days 😢
I never wanted this one to end 😢
9:00 omg I’m so jealous! I don’t care about concerts nowadays, but I totally would’ve gone to see bands of the 70s perform if I was alive back then
I’m a 90s baby but you mentioning only looking at the paper for movie times brought back memories! I forgot that’s what we used to do when I was a child.
Right? We called it the “Living” section of the paper.
Cried from your ending commentary. May God be with us ALL!
100% Amen!!
I was born in 1968 so the 70’s were a bit before my time as I was only a child in Primary school, but I do remember all the things that were mentioned in the magazine. I live in Australia so things would have been different here, but I was a fan of all the TV shows and ABBA were my favourite group. My sister was a teenager in the 70’s so I learned a lot of things back then from her. They were fun times, but am glad you will do a video on the 80’s as that’s more my era and in my opinion the best decade. I am a fan of retro and often fantasise about the world still living in that era. They were the best years for a lot of reasons and I am so blessed to have been a part of it. Even my daughter who is 21 says it was a better time especially for music.
So very comforting to watch!
I’m glad! Sleep well! 🥰
I loves this video Jeannie! These magazine flip throughs are my favorite. Your videos bring me an inner sense of peace that no other content creator can replicate, thank you! ❤❤❤
Thank you for this! ♥️
Jeannie ,thank you for bringing us back in the good old days 😊
Hearing your soft spoken voice is very soothing to hear after a long day of school. Thank you Jeannie. ❤️
You are so welcome! ♥️♥️♥️
Jeanie, I really enjoyed this video. Love when you do these blasts from the past!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was born in 88 so I don’t obviously wasn’t around in the 70’s but maaaaaan disco 🪩 must’ve been amazing, can’t even imagine dancing to Donna summer and the bee gees on a Saturday night
My favorite thing from the 70s is without a doubt... The Waltons 😍
Hi Jeannie!😁💕💕 Nice Shirt! & as Always, Love your Voice, and whatever you Bring to the Table! RELAXING Page Turning, & I Like 'REAL', Too!👍⭐⭐ Thanks for your Talks! So I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH YOU, ABOUT COOL CARS BACK THEN!! Wow, I love this! Theres this other creator I watch, he loves the 70s SO MUCH, no joke. He literally created a little budget cartoon show based in the 70s

Yay!!!!! I'm so happy. I couldn't wait for this.
😘
The movie reviews were my favorite . That is when there was individual originality .
Thanks!
That is so kind! Thank you!!
You’re welcome! ❤
I have gotten so much solace and comfort from your “company” Jeannie ❤ I’m dealing with knee surgery this week and then shoulder surgery in Feb. Your videos help me relax and sleep. I love, love, love your magazine flip throughs. Your intelligence and kindness shine through in each one ❤ Years ago I had the chance to see David and Sean Cassidy on Broadway in Blood Brothers and met David outside after the show. He was really nice but seemed kind of sad too.
Welcome back Jeannie! I hope you had a wonderful trip. The pictures looked like you did🙂. You had the perfect timing of this video for me. Had a few stressful weeks with the hubby's health but we got good news from his oncologist today. It's crazy how much I get used to the stress during daily life and don't notice it but can feel it leave as soon as it's gone. This video will be wonderful to unwind tonight. Thank you for all your videos and the effort you put into doing them❤❤
Stress is like that. It builds up and before you know it, you’re carrying a heavy load. Please take care of you, friend! Definitely continue to find ways to relax so that your cup doesn’t run empty. Sending love. ♥️♥️♥️
Yay - missed you so much - can’t wait to hear about your trip!
Big hugs to you! Thank you! 💜
My mom and her sisters grew up in the 70s. I’m in college so I’ve been away from her so these videos are like getting to hang out with her before bed❤
Aw, that’s nice.
Yay sweet dear Jeannie Love you sweetie You are Truely the Bestest 🤗💖💖
You are the sweetest! xox 💜💕💜
Hello dear Jeannie, nice to have you back! Sorry about your cold, I hope you are feeling better. Thank you for this relaxing video! I found the music part especially interesting. For my twelfth birthday my parents gave me a record player and I 'inherited' their record collection. Elton John, Barry Manilow, Donna Summer, The Bee Gees, ABBA, The Culture Club, among others were my favorites. In short it brought back happy memories. Even now I play them regularly! Liefs XO Anke
Thank you so much, dear Anke! I had a record player, too! I wish I still had all the albums. You had some great ones!!
I'm so happy you mentioned Syd Barrett, I adore him 💔
Love your videos so much! I hope you're doing well.
Jeannie is back!
It was so great listing to your voice!! Thank you for all the details ❤

Hi Donna! Here’s a lot of blah blah blah for you! 😋😄♥️
I legitimately have Woodoku as an app on my phone and I've had it for years, so I thought it was so funny it was your sponsor! But it's very calmng and I love it. Amazing video, too!
So cool! Yeah, I get stumped more easily than I thought I would! 🤣

I Still Have The 70s People Magazine Pop Culture Generation X Born In The 70s Thanks For Uploading
I appreciate your asmr content and I love the 70s. I'm also a huge dolly parton fan, so I would love if you could read some of her songs, like "coat of many colors", "Sittin on the front porch swing", and "I will always love you".
So glad you're back!
I love this so much! Thank you, Jeannie!!
You are so welcome! Thank YOU! 😘
Hey Jeannie! I'm glad to have you back and hope you had a great trip 😁
Thank you!! 😊 It was wonderful. Recap coming soon!
Hi Jeannie! Downloaded the Woodoku to support you.
Thank you for the video and kisses from Brazil ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
I love how Burt Reynolds is on every other page, ace how recommended Smokey and the Bandit also.
Born in mid 60’s and loved most everything you spoke about! Led Zep ( especially Mr Page) .. my sister dragged me to Song Remains the same ( she was 6 years older and my mother told me “ just go with her” because I didn’t want to 😂- boy did she regret that later when I blasted Led Zeppelin all day😂). But like you, I loved all music back then. I was too young to see those bands back then but I did see Robert Plant , Jimmy Page, Jason Bonham ( John’s son) as well as Heart, Rod Stewart, and others later in life. Such a great time to grow up in general, although I know not for everyone unfortunately. I was so happily not aware of all the horrible news like kids are today 😢
Oh I really needed this, Jeannie, thank you! ❤Been a rough couple of weeks
Hang in there, friend! Sending loving vibes your way!
Can you show pictures of you in the 70s/80s? I think it would be a great video and nostalgic 🥰🙏🏻📷🤍
Thank you, thank you for bringin' us so often and so gracefully to my favorite era. I buy (italian) magazines from '70s too, but havin' you on a channel is really nice.
You are so welcome!
Very great is cool magazine book❤️❤️🔥🔥😍😍😍,you have a very peaceful and sweet voice.
Thank you so much!
@@JeannieBASMR you're welcome ☺️❤️
Century Theaters on Winchester, heading over Highway 17 to Santa Cruz, what great memories. Sounds as if we grew up in San Jose about the same time. Concerts at Shoreline Amphitheater, going to Great America…what a great time to grow up in the Bay Area.
It really was! Good times…
It's crazy isn't it? They will post very beautiful re touched photoshoots for inside spreads, yet, make sure to get the worst picture of a celebrity out in public to make some gossip. Todays media is so horrible :( We need magazines like this! Normal, natural, no editing and no heavily bad photos! Always love your content its so soothing
You make some excellent points!! Thank you!
Great video once again. Thanks a lot for this nana
You have such a lovely and soothing voice. Love your videos. ❤❤
Thank you so much!
That is so amazing you were able to see Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd!!
My favorite ASMRtist
You remind me of my mother ❤❤❤
Has to be one of my favorite videos as that issue of People Magazine was off the charts!!!❤❤❤
Jeannie, I just want to tell you how much I love your channel! Your content is unique and Its fabulous. Can I also say you are absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you so much! This is so kind. Remember, my awesome lights my face great favors!
Yayyy!!
I still listen to Tapestry and lots of James Taylor. Much later, maybe 2005, I saw them together in concert and they sounded the same or better. Such talent!!
On an unrelated note, I was pretty sure I was going to marry Leif Garret. 😂
Ah, love that!! 😋
Yayyy 🎉 you’re back from your travels 🙏🏼❤
Yes! Thank you!
Loved it I was born in 75❤️💙🩷🧡
Your videos are the best ❤
My dad wore a light brown version of that tuxedo that Ron Howard wore at his wedding! Ha!!
Love day on the green. I was there too😊
Wasn’t it the best of times?!
Best years to grow up

I adore your content
Thank you!
You Always look Fresh and Beautiful Sis 🤗🤩🤗🤗🤩 Your Makeup looks Fabulous 🤩🤩
Good lights! Lol! 😜 😘
Ha! You helped me with a tough job. Now I'm watching the person(Avon lady) that you recommend. I still come back to you. I love you recommend other ASMR artists.
Oh thank you! ♥️♥️♥️
It's been a long time since I went to the Century Theaters in San Jose (right next to the Winchester Mystery House), such happy memories. You got to see Star Wars there, and I got to see all the Lord of the Rings movies, and a ton of other awesome movies in those dome theaters. I used to take the train up to San Francisco or drive up there to see some of my friends. Also, I loved going to Santa Cruz with my parents, it was so much fun and so pretty there.
Really enjoyed this video - super relaxing. Made a note to listen to that John Denver album. Thank you for posting :)
Yes! The Wildlife Concert - you’ll love it!! 🥰
Missed you! 😊
I have played woodoku 😊😊😊
Another great video Jeannie 😊 Robert Plant lives in my small town in the midlands Uk 🇬🇧 It’s kind of cool having a local rockstar 😅
Wow!! How cool!
1200 dollars then! Crazy how bad inflation is!
Welcome back Jeannie! 🎉!! Btw do you have a favorite decade and year?
Hi! Hmmm….I’d say the 70s, as you e heard me mention. And 1977 to pick a year.
Please make a video about your '66 Mustang! Also, I know the overheating-on-Highway-17 problem all too well. My 1970 Volkswagen Beetle did that more than once going from Cupertino to Santa Cruz!
I’m so glad you remember that struggle! It happened every weekend in the summer with us kids! 😋 🏔️ 🌊
And do you remember - you’d get to the top and start descending and boom! Get hit with thick fog! We didn’t have weather apps and you would just hop in your car and go and hope for the best. And sometimes you’d freeze your bum off from cold! But we still went in that freezing water! 🤣
@@JeannieBASMR Good old Bay Area summers! What was the one car your friends had that wouldn't overheat?
The "Once Ubiquitous, Now Extinct" portion showing 8-tracks and vinyl records is funny, if only because vinyl collecting has come back in a huge way over the last 10 years, to the point where it's CDs that are long obsolete. I also didn't know Betamax was a Sony product. But they'd eventually win the video war in the 2010s when Blu-Ray overtook regular DVDs.
You look gorgeous Mom❤
Jeannie😊 Happiness Is Back In Houston Texas 🇺🇸 🌵🇺🇸 We All Have Missed You😊 🌹😊💯%🙏
Thank you, dear William!! 🏴 💖
MAMA J, you've returned 🤩🙌 gosh, you're a sight for sore eyes. I hope that your travels both refreshed your soul and restored your inspiration as you come back to this virtual community of ours - each and every clip and picture sure made it seem like it was nothing short of magical.
I saw the picture of Natalie Wood and gasped. My murder mystery-obsessed mother and I have watched just about every documentary there is about her death, but gosh, I never realized just how stunning she was in life. I love watching these videos, because I love the sense of classic beauty (and occasionally "Old Hollywood" glam) we get glimpses of with the celebs featured therein.
Yes! We’re home! It was rough with the jet lag and then getting a rotten cold! Just now starting to feel better! Thank you for the warm welcome, luv!
Oml the "He vas my boyfriend" quote from Young Frankenstein kills me everytime😂
Right!! 🤣🤣🤣
I was born in 1973 and Boy have I missed you Momma J. =)
Jeannie hearing you say you saved up $1200 for your car dollar by dollar oh my Lord! How long did it take to be able to finally buy it? What a wonderful world! You worked hard and you did it!!! So sweet and inspirational to hear things like this ❤
I worked any chance I could - babysitting, fruit orchards, hamburger stands, donut shop… to me, driving and having a car was total freedom, so I worked hard for that. I’d say I started saving at 13 years old and it took me 3 years.
@@JeannieBASMR Wow!! You were VERY committed and responsible already, at that young age 😍 And it was fruitful! 🥳
Thank you so much for the answer! I love your videos, I learn a lot from them! 💗🤗
I remember when we got HBO. It was a major event.
Hi Jeannie, rex Smith he's the guy in the tv show of 1984"street hawk"
