Funny thing about the difference between the Old School Stars and the new crop. Petty and Person got into it so much on the track that Big Bill had to make them stop yet you NEVER heard or saw a heated argument between them. They had nothing but respect for each other.
So do I...it was just as I started really getting into NASCAR and I was a Terry Labonte fan at the time. Boy, was I PISSED at that--nevermind the fact that I was an anti-Earnhardt already. That just sealed the deal. But love 'em or hate 'em, you had to respect the man, and it still sucks that he went the way he did. Who knows if ol' Dale would still be giving 'em hell today, or if he would've ridden off into the sunset...
@continentalrcinglg no he ment that 4 guys crashed and not to mention, remember at that time Dale and Darrell had very short temper's and when Darrell shoved Earnhardt out of the way it was like dale was saying to darrell "that was the last straw I've had enough" and he hit waltrip which wrecked both of them
`03 Darlington was the only race I've been to. 50 yards from the start/finish line, 5 rows up from the track. Amazing finish.
I was probably the ONLY person who wanted Derrike Cope to win that race that wasn't a part of Cope's family/friends.
Thanks for the post.
Richie Evans against Geoff Bodine at Martinsville 1981 is the greatest finish in racing history
You damn right Craven won! This was beyond awesome! I watched this and torn the roof off my own house!

Dale Earnhardt. Best Nascar Driver of all time.

And yeah, I think Darlington is the crown jewel of Nascar. Always was, always will be. They can't build 'em like that these days.
timewise, yes. if you go by length, Darlington is probably closer due to lower speeds
great footage
I liked Ricky Craven then, and I like him even more now that he's a color guy on ESPN.
I'm kinda surprised with how they plaster the 1979 Daytona 500 on everything, it wasn't on this list. That was a way better finish than some on list
Its to bad Craven didn't catch a better break in Cup He had talent at least on the short tracks in the northeast.
Earnhardt should have never got away with wrecking Labonte at Bristol
Thanks, love this show but can't get SPEED.
WHO THE FUCK TOOK THESE DOWN?!
have you ever.....
No I've never.....
