Srajo has already become one of my absolute favorite characters in this story, from her design to her attitude, she's very different from the other white wistles we meet so far. I hope we learn more about the artifacts she uses in the near future. I already can't get enough of this woman!!
Totally agreed. Her entire being is so mysterious, you can't really tell if she is trust-worthy or not and I really appreciate that about Akihito's writing. Not to mention, her design is flawless, really keen to see what Akihito does with her!
A couple things I noticed -If Srajo and her crew hadn't arrived at Ido Front before Riko and her crew, I'm certain that the three of them wouldn't have survived an encounter with Bondrewd since Srajo wiped out a good chunk of Bondrewd's strongest Umbra Hands. They got SO LUCKY. Also, we see the first female Umbra Hand in the series so far at 0:46 -Srajo only blew her white whistle for a few moments and was able to "activate" Nishagora and she didn't receive a bloody nose. Riko on the other hand blew full-force and received a bloody nose. Perhaps Srajo is not only testing Riko and her team but is trying to subtly teach them how to survive even further. Riko needs to learn that she doesn't need to blow her whistle for a long length to activate Reg.
Its as if everything is connected to some degree right? I doubt this is a coincidence in the slightest! Makes you wonder just how strong the Hail Hex truly are. Super keen to see them in action going further into this arc. Also a very good point. I had a feeling that Srajo would be the one to essentially mentor Riko in this layer as they have similar styles in regards to how they conduct themselves as White Whistles (They are the strategists, not the fighters).
I love that this fight is basically a Pokémon battle, the white whistles being the trainers 😂. Always anticipating your work, Mickell, great job as always. The sound effects on this one in particular are phenomenal and it's one thing I don't think many people will notice at first watch.

My god, the quality with the colored panels was absolutely amazing! I didn’t expect to see colored versions already so that just gave me chills! Also, it makes sense logically but it’s still so funny that a White Whistle has to fill out an application before making a Last Dive
man, remember that one episode of family guy where brian griffin went into the abyss together with stewie and stewie became a blessed narehate because of brian's wishes? yeah that shit was crazy man ok jokes aside, you've out-done yourself again! the subtle animations of even the smallest of details that bring it to life all the more (yes even the whistle's on srajo's neck, the pain of losing a coin flip was worth it), not to mention the color panel is so well done i could scream about it all day, same goes for the fight scene, the impact of the hits and the particles flying around really brings it all together, same goes for your choice in music and the subtle voice lines, it's always a joy to watch these videos as someone who loves noticing all the subtle details within someone else's work! watching you animate all of this on vc and on stream was really neat and seeing it all put together and being able to recognize what parts you worked on is really fucking cool, keep doing what you do man! :DD

As soon as the chapter came out, this was what I was anticipating, and my god was it way better than I could've expected. The quality of your work has only gone up, this was stunning and amazing.
Ridiculously good. Perfectly translating the motion of the manga and being able to perfectly animate it at the same time is nuts. Both a testament to your skills and also a testament to Tsukushi's skills as a manga artist that's almost comparable to the late Kentaro Miura of Berserk. Also, I believe that Srajo is going to be a friendly White Whistle to Riko, if only because she's a rough and rowdy female similar to Lyza and Ozen and that she's basically Riko if she's a veteran White Whistle (Good at Cooking, has a cute pet like Meinya, is called a captain and commands a party of weirdos.)

i must say this video really feels special to me right now. your animated chapters are the reason i started to watch made in abyss. and i was quite eager to catch an animating stream. and here we are today ! finally getting a new chapter and a fight too ! today i'm in a comunity i love, i've mustered enough motivation to start some youtube. and hopefully with time, i'll get into more hobbys (3d modeling in blender/animating some fan made mia stuff) and project it was really cool to see you use the anime as background/flashback. honestly, beside at 3:56 where the effect is way too strong the chapter is perfect ! see you in the next one man !

From what was being set up, I knew Nishagora to get powered up, but I didn’t expect Reg to maintain endurance that much. I love how you use the background. A small example I like is at 7:09 and how you use the cheering on the frame with the moth, blond, and bunny to emphasize impact with Reg
Reg has honestly grown so much! While not only did the fight end in essentially a draw, he held his own against Nishagora who is familiar with the power of the release. Reg only learnt of the white whistles power recently, he is on his way to becoming an absolute legend within the abyss! Thanks so much! I appreciate the acknowledge of smaller details like that :')
Wow, this is your best work in my opinion, totally stunning visuals (especially the colored part) and fluid animation. I'm gonna be doing an edit on pretty much every arc of made in abyss, but I hadn't worked on the first one in a couple weeks. Watching this gave me a lot of inspiration to go work on that. Really happy someone's animating the manga, you captured the vibe of it perfectly.

I wonder if perhaps Ozen was the person Nishigora admired the most and perhaps at their most desperate they turned their hope into prayer that she would come to save them (like the twins we saw in the bonus chapter), only for them to have to solve their crisis on their own, inspiring them to become far more powerful than Ozen ever was.
The wait was worth it. That chapter was incredible, and you brought this to another level! Absolutely phenomenal video, everything came together so well, I find it difficult to properly describe how much I loved this. I swear, maybe it's just because I have been waiting for longer than the other chapters, but every second of this video had me so hyped. Crazy to think there are non-white whistles that are so incredibly strong, that they actually get offended by having their strength compared to the likes of Ozen the Immovable. I hate to mention it but a chapter with not a single line of questionable content, this is Made in Abyss at its best in my opinion, the fights are always so exciting. Speaking of fights, chapters like this benefit so heavily from your addition of animation, music, and sound; it takes it from enjoyable to absolute fire. Everything was on point, the only thing i found strange was just how much they moved from side to side at 4:00 but hey that's like the most minor thing ever and it wasn't interrupting an intense situation, heck it surprised me if you said that it had been purposeful. Also, regarding the colo(u)r panels, DaiMaouCC did a stunning job, that got me so hyped. I knew this chapter and video would be good but this way exceeded my expectations. Music and sound choices were on point, and the animations were very tasteful, keeping the manga's feel but still giving it so much more life. Okay, I'll stop fangirling now but like seriously, incredible work, you made my week (maybe month idono I love mia a lot so this was amazing). Alrighty, love you thanks bye! ♥♥♥

Wow! This was so cool. I don't normally read manga, but I've been reading MIA because I just couldn't wait for more of the anime to be made. I'm legally blind though and I find manga difficult to see and follow, black and white drawings are especially hard for me to see. I feel like this really helped me understand what was going on. My theory is that the reason why Sjaro have so many whistles is because she uses it to "activate" her Hexes.

From what was being set up, I knew Nishagora to get powered up, but I didn’t expect Reg to maintain endurance that much.
I love how you use the background. A small example I like is at 7:09 and how you use the cheering on the frame with the moth, blond, and bunny to emphasize impact with Reg
Reg has honestly grown so much! While not only did the fight end in essentially a draw, he held his own against Nishagora who is familiar with the power of the release. Reg only learnt of the white whistles power recently, he is on his way to becoming an absolute legend within the abyss!

Wow, this is your best work in my opinion, totally stunning visuals (especially the colored part) and fluid animation. I'm gonna be doing an edit on pretty much every arc of made in abyss, but I hadn't worked on the first one in a couple weeks. Watching this gave me a lot of inspiration to go work on that. I wonder if perhaps Ozen was the person Nishigora admired the most and perhaps at their most desperate they turned their hope into prayer that she would come to save them (like the twins we saw in the bonus chapter), only for them to have to solve their crisis on their own, inspiring them to become far more powerful than Ozen ever was.

The wait was worth it. That chapter was incredible, and you brought this to another level! Absolutely phenomenal video, everything came together so well, I find it difficult to properly describe how much I loved this. I swear, maybe it's just because I have been waiting for longer than the other chapters, but every second of this video had me so hyped. Crazy to think there are non-white whistles that are so incredibly strong, that they actually get offended by having their strength compared to the likes of Ozen the Immovable. I hate to mention it but a chapter with not a single line of questionable content, this is Made in Abyss at its best in my opinion, the fights are always so exciting. Speaking of fights, chapters like this benefit so heavily from your addition of animation, music, and sound; it takes it from enjoyable to absolute fire. Everything was on point, the only thing i found strange was just how much they moved from side to side at 4:00 but hey that's like the most minor thing ever and it wasn't interrupting an intense situation, heck it surprised me if you said that it had been purposeful. Also, regarding the colo(u)r panels, DaiMaouCC did a stunning job, that got me so hyped. I knew this chapter and video would be good but this way exceeded my expectations. Music and sound choices were on point, and the animations were very tasteful, keeping the manga's feel but still giving it so much more life. Okay, I'll stop fangirling now but like seriously, incredible work, you made my week (maybe month idono I love mia a lot so this was amazing). Alrighty, love you thanks bye! ♥♥♥

I actually never picked up on that detail! That is a very good point! Makes me wonder now just how strong some of the Juuso really are. I also agree that not having to censor anything was refreshing 😅 Akihito's weird brain is sometimes TOO much to deal with lol. Really happy that my edit was able to get you hyped up and was able to deliver on the manga's brilliant fighting choreography and energy. That animation at 4:00 actually looked MUCH more crisp and slower in the original. I think I must have rendered it strangely because even I was a little shocked by it when reviewing it on TH-cam 😫

Wow! This was so cool. I don't normally read manga, but I've been reading MIA because I just couldn't wait for more of the anime to be made. I'm legally blind though and I find manga difficult to see and follow, black and white drawings are especially hard for me to see. I feel like this really helped me understand what was going on.
