    Love Budapest. Stayed in this city maybe 6 times. It was my go-to place in the days I had "issues" getting my humanitarian visa when I was living in Romania, working as a volunteer for some 15 years. But always enjoyed my time here. A cruise on the Danube river at night is especially beautiful. 😍😎

    I'm happy that you've had a great time here! You are very welcome here again! Tip: You have seen only the "usual" tourist sights. Theres much much more to see ;) Tip2: Come here at Aug. 20.! Nice weather, and one of the greatest and most beutiful fireworks for 30 min. at night. We are holding the birthday "party" of Hungary on the 20th of august. :)

    The Fishermans bastion is no Disneyland ;) But you did have a very nice hoiday in Budapest (so it looks in the film). Good to see you there with the family. The kids also enjoy the city of Budapest. I see a happy family, and that's exactly what this city brings you. Last week i was there for the first time, and i want to go back there as soon as posible.

    Katy Perry, American singer's clip is shot in the Buda Castle and at Astoria. This video had huge press coverage because the crowd was recruited publicly. In this video, Katy Perry set aside her usual sugarcoated decorations; the focus is on the story and the message of the song 😁

    Welcome to Hungary!
    The Fisherman's Bastion was built between 1899 and 1905.
    Frigyes Schulek was the designer. The damage during the Second World War was repaired by his son. It really is a fairy tale world. There are other such places in Hungary. If you can, come again, look around in other places. For example, the area around Lake Balaton is also a good area for people with families. You can swim in the lake, hike in the Bakony Mountains, there are castle ruins... But look for a companion who can speak Hungarian, because it is not certain that you will find English-speaking people among the local people. I almost forgot. Try Túró Rudi!

    Wrong information. There are not 150,000 Jews throughout Hungary. In Budapest there are actually about 6000-7000.

    • @aronmacsik2617
      @aronmacsik2617 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry you are definately wrong! Just by googling it looks like the estimated jewish population of Budapest is between 80-100.000. Obviously there is no exact number. zsido.com/hany-zsido-el-magyarorszagon/, hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_zsid%C3%B3s%C3%A1g_Magyarorsz%C3%A1gon#1989_ut%C3%A1n

    • @sorinb6107
      @sorinb6107 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The census of January 1941 found that 4.3% of the population, or around 400,000 people, were considered of the Jewish religion (not including Christians of Jewish descent or converts to Christianity, who were registered as Jews by race under the new Anti-Jewish laws). In 2011, only 10,965 Jews (0.1% of the population) remained.[4] Some Hungarian Jews were able to escape the Holocaust during World War II, but most (perhaps 550,000)[7] either were deported to concentration camps, from which the majority did not return, or were murdered by the Arrow Cross fascists.(source : Wikipedia)

      @@attilakovacs2231 You might be right but according to my memory I do recall Western Timor which is equally stupid, but do remember where the source was coming from: It was our good ally and friend from Germany. What ever the answer, it was not a kind comment, it was very false and silly. Typical German Put Down when it comes to the Hungarian question, what else can you expect from a German source. Or better still what can you expect from any other Western sources? The same BS. Tele vagyunk jo barátokkal es szövetségesekkel.
