Great interview, Vincent is a phenomenal bassist and the new moon tooth material is insane !! Can’t wait for the whole Phototroph album to release 🤘. This interview made my mind up about buying this bass!!

Just bought one of these from SW. Took almost 3 months to get, but oh so worth it. If anything, it's been underhyped. The sound quality and tone is RIDICULOUS. I've tried every toggle-switch setting, with pots at every extreme, and all of them give me "godlike" tone, with no "weird" or "pointless" tonal options AT ALL. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the high gloss finish. It looks amazing, like a tree dipped in candy coating. But it no longer looks like a tree.... cuz it's candy coated. And I really like the natural look. Oh well. It's an AMAZING bass, with, by far, the most crystal-clear-clarity (say that 5x lol) of any instrument of any type I've ever played. It's the clarity you expect from Dingwall, with the tone you expect from Spector. The side-inlaid glowing dots are great, by the way. They really work well, allowing you to play in very dark conditions but still have your reference points avail. The frets are not at all hard to get used to. If anything, the extreme angle makes getting those 1st & 2nd frets easier than on a "straight" bass.

Good take on it, I got one around the same time you did just in matte finish. Not going to lie the first two frets is an adjustment, beyond that it plays much like a regular bass. The bass really is a work of art, an engineering marvel.Shout out to Spector's luthiers and r&d design team for taking the extra time to nail it and get it just right. Dingwall doesn't make neck thru to my knowledge so this may be the first multi scale neck thru bass ever put into production. Do yourself the favor and order the Spector NS case, the gig bag it comes with is really nice tho. Besides that the only other gripe I have is, why in 2021 does a $2200 bass($2400 with case and taxes) not come with strap locks??????? Warwick throes them in on lesser models even their Rockbass. Shout out to Hans on that as he gets bonus points in that score in the old Warwick vs Spector. Had emailed him as well and for the right price Warwick will make you a multiscale bass neck thru with burled Mahogany in the German Masterbuild factory. I asked him in Thumb model shape before you guys at Spector get your pantys ina bunch lol, however I decided to give the commission to Marleaux Basses on a Consat Signature 6 multiscale with black limba top on flame maple body wings

Great interview all around! The best basses from the best bass company (ok, maybe as a Spector Artist I'm biased). Seriously, these Dimension basses are packed with high end features- luminlay sidedots too!. Absolute home run in my book.
