Meet MA2 Tyrel J. Green - #USNavy Master-at-Arms stationed onboard USS ESSEX (LHD 2), native of San Diego, talks about his experiences in the Navy and of the challenges and rewards of being a security professional. Green is grateful for how the Navy has provided for his family and strives to honor the legacy of those who came before him. USS ESSEX is a WASP-class multipurpose amphibious assault ship commissioned October 17, 1992 and is the fifth ship named for Essex County, Massachusetts. Essex’s crew is made up of approximately 1,200 officers and enlisted personnel and can accommodate up to 2,000 Marines. (U.S. Navy video by Ensign Nolan Valerio)
