The best whipped cream stabilizer is called “Whip It” which is tasteless and will keep your whipped cream from weeping and getting runny, it is available on Amazon. I am 77 and German born, we use this stuff in all of our pastries that call for whipped cream, it has no nasty preservatives or food coloring in it, is tasteless and will hold your whipped cream in the fridge for a week at least and out of the fridge for hours on in, it is the best! You could always add some lemon zest and a drop of lemon oil in your whipping cream, along with a little powdered sugar to sweeten it and the “Whip It” which will give you a wonderful lemon whipping cream!

Trick to cutting pie and having the first slice come out nice: cut a slice like normal but instead of trying to remove it, go and slice a second, THEN remove the first one. I saw this on a cooking show. It relieves the tension and allows the first slice to come out easier. ❤

I noticed this video because my family used to do lemon or strawberry chiffon pies by Jell-O instant mix. This might be even better! They don't make that anymore. An alternative crust that I almost always use for every pie is a cookie crust. Carolyn's cookie crust. I think it's 1 + 1/2 C flour, 2 T sugar and 1/2 stick butter. Plus, I always put in broken pecans, if I have them. Press into pie dish. ..bake @350° for 8 minutes, or so...just lightly browned. My husband didn't like graham crusts so we liked this one. You're right about the cream of tartar, but in my opinion, the pudding mix does a much better job of stabilizing the whipped cream and holds it much, much longer than cream of tartar.
Lemonade Pie, oh my! I made this for our year end community group dinner at church tonight and it was a hit! I made two pies just in case and thank goodness I did. I have a suggestion. My granddaughter love strawberry lemonade. So this summer I've been making my favorite lemon recipes but I've been sprinkling crushed freeze dried strawberries on top. The lemon cookies worked really well with the dried strawberries sprinkled on top after they came out of the oven. You might try using freeze dried strawberries in some of your recipes. They are a fun burst of strawberry flavor. Love you both so much!

Lemon in the summer is so refreshing and after a heavy meal, it is really good. I am going to have to make this. If I make a cake I get so tired of it and freeze the rest but they are just not as good when made fresh. I am single so a pie is perfect for me. I wish I did not like desserts but my mother always had home made desserts and I got so used to them and learned to bake from her. I used to help her make cakes. She NEVER used cake mix. I NEVER use cake mix. I know they are alot different now than they used to be but it is what you get used to. My oldest sister always uses cake mix but not me. When my family gets together I am always asked to bring desserts instead of a side dish and that suits me just fine. I put alot of love in my desserts. This is a great pie, I am going to have to make this. I have already copy/pasted it and printed it off.

Just made this for my husband who loooovvvees lemon anything. My family really loved this pie. It is on the sweet side but its a pie. The whipped topping i added only the confectioner sugar and lemon pudding powder and it was perfect for us. Thank you for this wonderful recipe. Easy to follow and easy to make. Can't wait 2 try this! 😋 I want 2 offer an idea. Try putting ur piping bag down into a tall glass, fold the bag over the sides of the glass, then fill as usual. It frees ur hands while holding the bag steady n upright. It also makes it ez'r 2 fill. This is the 1st time I've ever seen someone make flavored whip cream, such a great idea. I would consider this more of a lemon cheesecake. Of course that's just my idea. Definitely on the look out for more of ur recipes 🙂 Thanks 4 sharing 🧡

Can't wait 2 try this! 😋 I want 2 offer an idea. Try putting ur piping bag down into a tall glass, fold the bag over the sides of the glass, then fill as usual. It frees ur hands while holding the bag steady n upright. It also makes it ez'r 2 fill. This is the 1st time I've ever seen someone make flavored whip cream, such a great idea. I would consider this more of a lemon cheesecake. Of course that's just my idea. Definitely on the look out for more of ur recipes 🙂 Thanks 4 sharing 🧡
I usually place my piping bag in a wide-mouth quart canning jar but I forgot to get one out of the pantry before we started the video. Wide-mouth jars are perfect for holding piping bags. Thanks for watching our videos.
