    Conditioner with tea tree oil. Slather it all over the head/hair, cover with a plastic shower cap then wrap with a warm towel and leave it on for at least 30mins. Next comb the hair and you will see all the dead suckers(I was EXTREMELY surprised and shocked my daughter had so many actual lice on her head. This was after combing like crazy and over-the-counter treatment!). After combing all the hair rinse the hair with the warmest water tolerable. Then wash and condition the hair as normal. One treatment and never had another problem.
    To keep them away, I add tea tree oil to the shampoo and conditioner bottles so it's a repellent for them little buggers!
    I really home this helps someone out there!!

    Let's be clear you don't have to be "dirty" to get lice.

      Lice like clean hair so if you get them and people say you must have dirty hair tell them lice only like clean hair so my hair must be clean

    If you're struggling with lice: TEE TREE OIL! My mum used to work in a daycare and she would get lice at least once a year, tee tree oil always got rid of them. You can spray it on pillows, hats, bed sheets, anything. Add to regular shampoo and conditioner as well.

    So instead of paying $10-20 for an over the counter treatment, you now have to do a pricey treatment at a professional clinic. So glad I have a boy so that I can just shave his head if he gets it!

    You don't need such a pricey treatment! I had lice for ages because my hair was so thick. I tried everything to get rid of them, all the over-the-counter stuff, combing, a comb that zaps them, etc. Nothing worked! I was at my wits end! I happened to mention it to a friend down the road & she knew exactly what would sort it. Her daughter had really thick, long hair too. So I did what she told me. I went into the kitchen & got out the bottle of vinegar in the cupboard & drenched my hair & scalp in the vinegar, massaging it into every mm of my hair & my scalp. I left it in for half an hour & washed my hair. I never had any more trouble! The vinegar destroyed the lice & the eggs! Not a single live louse came from my hair!

    i had super lice, and it was *TERRIBLE* i would think it was gone, and _boom!_ oh look, bugs. it was the absolute worst feeling. the only thing that worked for me is putting my hair in tight hairstyles, like french braids, and putting mouthwashin my hair, put on a shower cap, and let the mouthwash sit for an hour, then wash it out in the shower. best advice i've got.

    50% of the school kids in India face this problem.... the best way to treat it is rubbing a mixture of 5 t spoons oil and 1 t spoon powdered camphor on your scalp and leaving it on for 10-15 min and washing it off with shampoo. This s a very common problem in India.
    (Camphor is widely used in all houses for worshiping god and is harmless if used externally in mere amounts)

  • @kes1667
    @kes1667 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Bullshit on that "head to head contact" !!! That is so not true. My mother was a kindergarten teacher and one kid literally kept it and kept re infecting all the children in the class from the carpet mats that the kids sit on while playing. So they got rid of the carpet mats and then still had trouble and I can promise you that every kid in that class didn't have head to head contact. Lice to jump and crawl and also get to a certain adult stage where they get almost like winglike appendages. They most definitely do crawl out of the hair and on other things it just depends on the severity of the infestation. This is why it's not only important to treat your kids head but to also treat the ENTIRE HOUSE at home or you will just never get rid of lice

    Prevention: Use tea tree spray, use a nit comb to check, tie up hair neatly, also make sure you don’t share hats, accessories etc. Of course just don’t have head to head contact.

      @maddelyn6420 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      VampyRagDoll that does not work. Most conditioners do NOTHING to lice, NOTHING. Combing doesn't get all of them, either, especially not the eggs...
