@@QCUEZ you can have more then one medical issue and people can just stumble on this and enjoy it. You don't have to have diabetes to like something. Same goes for any other health issues.
This poor girl. When they were talking about how dangerous sleeping is, I completely relate to that. I don’t have diabetes but when I was at my worst in my anorexia, my heart rate was in the 20’s. It would drop drastically at night and there was no guarantee that I would ever wake up (spoiler alert, I survived and recovered). At the hospital, every 10-15 minutes the nurses would check on me to make sure I was alive and didn’t die, go into cardiac arrest or have a seizure. I wasn’t even scared of death because I had tried to kill myself a couple times, so I really had no will to recover. Idk it was a really shitty situation but I’m doing better now. I still have trouble eating but it’s much better. I encourage anyone out there who has an eating disorder to trust me and recover. It isn’t easy I know, but it’s worth it. Be strong, I believe in you and I love you 💕💕💕
Magical Miranda thank you so much!! A few months ago I would only eat enough to survive but I'm doing great now!! I love you too, best wishes for you to fully recover!!
i have type one diabetes and also used to be anorexic. i remember one night my blood sugar dropped to the 20s and since i didn’t have any food in my system and didn’t want to eat it was really dangerous. i ended up having a seizure and it left some brain damage.. i hope you get better and that you are healthy ♥️
Kayies M idk dogs have incredible sense of smell and senses! They have feelings as well... I have 3 small dogs, 2 chihuahuas, a cairn terrier and one day I was crying, really upset and they all jumped on my bed licking me and barking at me, trying to comfort me! Animals are amazing and their love is so pure!
My dog is a twat. He doesn't have any other sense than a sense of smell. His nose is constantly on the ground. I could be bawling my eyes out or having an epileptic seizure and he'd be out of the house as soon as he'd smell a deer or a hare. But I love him. He's great.
My aunt had a cat that was always laying by my moms stomach when she was pregnant with me and my dog knew my sister was pregnant before she even knew. Animals are amazing
Absolutely amazing! Humans are so lucky to have dogs! They are the most incredible creatures ever! Out of all the remarkable things they can do, their true passion is to love and care for their humans, unconditionally! We are beyond blessed, to have them! 🐕🦺🐾🐶🐾🐕🐾🦮🐾🤎

I just got diagnosed with type 1 not too long (maybe like 3 months ago) & it still hits me like a truck when I know I could easily die if I'm too low in my sleep, & it's happened twice so far. I dropped into my twenties in the middle of the night & I couldn't speak or move so I couldn't call my mom & luckily she was coming to check in on me not even 10 minutes later. Let's just say it was the longest 7 minutes of my life.

I actually Have type 1 diabete and I know how to make your blood sugar be fine when u go to sleep i do it all the time drink milk before you go to sleep.
Yeah it helps with my three year old. I have to give her at least 10 carbs before bed so it can stay at a steady of 200 by 2 am and slowly drops through out the night. In the morning it's between 90-180

Oh my God I need a dog like this I've been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes it's almost my one year anniversary of being diagnosed I keep on telling my mom and dad to get me a diabetic alert dog I need one of these dogs
I have Brittle diabetes. My sugars go from 30 to 650 within 1 hour. It is the hardest thing, being so low. I am so happy Sofía gets the service she needs!
I’ve been a type one since i was 8.. going on 8 years now and people always seem to dramatize the disease. i’ve never had the anxiety and fear that so many other people seem to have. this is a very manageable and livable disease. my A1C has also never gone above a 7.6 (which is healthy for a teenager) i don’t have extreme high or lows either. i feel like many people amp up this disease to make it seem worse than it is. if you have a little responsibility it is way more than manageable. I’ve been independent since i was about 9.. my parents and doctors taught me what i need and of course monitor me but if parents control everything a child will never learn to manage this disease on their own
Livy, every diabetic is different. My husband has been a Type 1 for almost 53 years. When he first got it, the only way to check his glucose level was for him to pee on a stick, it would change color which he had to match to a color code on the bottle, which gave him a ballpark idea of what his glucose level was TWELVE HOURS AGO! He would go into seizures when it got too low, overnight was most dangerous. The seizures would wake me up and I would have to call 911. One time his blood sugar was FOURTEEN when he arrived at the emergency room. He can seem coherent at 29. There were several times I thought he was going to die, including once when they were working on him for 20 minutes in the ambulance, unable to revive him. Eventually the home blood sugar tests came out, he was constantly checking it. Since 2019 he started on the LIBRE 1 scanning device, and this year on the Libre 2 with the alarms. You have had Diabetes 1 for a much shorter time than my husband, still perhaps in the "Honeymoon Period" You don't know how things are going to be once you get older and have had it for over 50 years like my husband.
did you see when they were talking to the doctor and the dog was looking at them and hearing their conversation, that was very cute. That parts my favorite. That dog is very very amazing. 2:36
a dog named Honey for a diabetic person. How adorable!
LikeO LikeH oh yeah, how did i just notice that 😂
Honey is great for bringing up low bloodsugars, so that would fit.
Pool à
James brunley I appreciate the help but there are lots of teams of medical doctors working on a cure and there is no cure right now for type one
It suits perfect since mellitus in diabetes mellitus comes from honey. Since mel is honey in Latin.
Honestly what did we do to deserve dogs

A huge majority of humanity doesn't deserve dogs. But there are a few rare people who do who have the heart of gold like dogs.
Crooks Charles This video is about Type 1 diabetes. There is currently no cure for this autoimmune disease.

sad how people train and think they can own dogs, you wouldn't like if someone trained you, so do not train the dog please, ya thanks!

That dog is smarter than most people I know
ok i have type 1 diabetes and i'm on the exact same insulin pump. i don't understand why she has to take saliva samples. if you feel like you have a low blood sugar, you test and eat something with a lot of carbs. if it's high you take insulin
she has to take the samples to train her pup
Jack zimmerman well sometimes people don't feel lows. i was at a water park and my dexcom wasn't with me and i didn't know i was low. i was 58
the samples have a scent in them the dog can alert so they are used for training
Jack zimmerman yeah the dog seems like too much work for what it's worth. Just get a cgm and your fine

When he first got it, the only way to check his glucose level was for him to pee on a stick, it would change color which he had to match to a color code on the bottle, which gave him a ballpark idea of what his glucose level was
TWELVE HOURS AGO!
