That Chanel Piece had some quality gold plating if it is from the 80s... probably 3 microns thick if it took that long to vanish. Nowadays most jewelry is flash-plated with 0.15 microns gold...

Yes it’s an expensive service for one-offs. My cobbler had recommended another place but they were trying to charge $400 starting 😵‍💫

I know what it is i sell jewelry and own a jewelry shop in Puerto Rico and we charge by piece...the most it will be is 70 if its a big piece
