Hi! It really depends on how much or should I say rich in color it is. If you do a really deep color it will use quite a bit. As for when I just noticed that when I’m swirling it if the piece doesn’t seem to change then it’s time for more liquid. I know that’s not a definitive answer . I do hope it helps. J
@TheJuliArt thank you so much! To confirm, this works on fake jewelry, right? I just sent an email to the customer care team of this product and mentioned your video (hope you get your coins!!) as I noticed the silver plating system (metal disk included) is not available :)
Your welcome! Yes fake jewelry and I believe the silver will clean and re-coat silver. I’m not affiliated but Thank you. They did send me one kit sample last year. I always buy mine. Have fun. Julia
Hi! So what I have found is that some items have a varnish on them and will not coat but if they are raw material most copper based items and silver will. I wish I could be more help you can call the company and ask more questions. Thank you! J
Great video. I was wondering, have you tried the siliver plating on a ring with gemstones? I have an older ring that was silver plated over what looks like brass or copper. I want to re-silver plate it because it is wearing off. Will the silver solution only stick to the metal or will it get on the gems? I am thinking not, since the chemical compunds are probably made to only stick to metal. Have you tried that yet?
Hello! Thank you! Yes I have used on costume jewelry it will not effect the stones. I will say that this is not a long term fix . The silver needs to be applied with the sponge it isn’t the heated liquid one. If there is prongs ore patterns it requires more rubbing. Hope this helps.
And let me just say I’m not only going to try the jewelry things, because you shared their website and also allowed me to see other items they sell, which I love the idea of coloring the mulch. You definitely deserve something nice.

I have a two tone ring, 925 Silver, but a center section set into the band that has gold plate. I had it replated (the center) once for about $75. I know it will eventually wear off again. Would this work for that & how would one mask off the rest of the ring? Have you tried anything like that? And if I decided later to have it replated again in the traditional way, would my having previously used this treatment hinder that process in any way? Thanks.
Hi! Good question. I really don’t know if it would do it . Masking would be easy just use nail prep mask it’s like liquid latex brush on and dry then coat . I know the product works but definitely get mixed applications. Sorry not much help. Thank you! Julia

How big is the shaker jar, I have a bracelet that doesn't bend not sure it would fit..could I put it in something else and shake it or would that not work because the metal plate on the bottom of the jar would shift to much
It is small but no worries. If you put the metal plate in a plastic container that will fit your bracelet you can still do it just swirl one side and then flip if you can’t submerge the whole thing.
Hello Julia, what do you do with the rest of the product after using? Do you place it back in the container it came from or do you have to toss it afterwards?
Hi! No I only throw it away if it doesn’t plate anymore. Otherwise I just keep it in the larger microwave container plus I don’t fill it full anymore just enough to cover the top of my item. Really helps save material. Thank you! Julia

Hi! I don’t know if you can call the company and ask if they have a supplier where you live. I know others have gotten from your area but not sure how. Sorry I’m not much help.
Hi, so i have a silver watch id like to make gold. I dont know how to take a watch apart, so id like to just dunk the whole thing in the solution. (I dont care if the watch breaks, as it will just be a costume piece), but would the glass be okay in the solution or would that change color too?? I know you didnt put any glass in it in this video, but im just asking in case you may have an idea? :) thank you
Hello! It will not affect the glass at all. Most Rhinestones are glass and I did some wire wrapped glass pieces and it worked perfectly . If the watch is water resistant it would still work and even after you do it and it drys out it still may. But if you don’t mind then it’s all good. Have fun!
Hi! That I do not know . You would need to contact the company. However there is a brush on sealer that is designed for this called everbright. Many just use clear nail polish. I hope this helps. Thank you! J
@@ArtfulElements Ty, I'll contact them. I don't like the clear coat nail polish because it just cracks and flakes quickly, and then you have to remove it and do it again unless you want build up.
Hello! Thank you! So there are a few ways. You can do the cheapest which is foiling but it will not give you the look of molten metal. You can electroplate but you first need to apply a conductive paint, I use graphite powder and glue or you can buy it. Then you will need to electroplate with copper ,then metal you choose. There are kits for this. There are some good metal paints but not real sterling silver . So it’s definitely doable but will cost . I hope it helps some. You need copper first.
My husband passed away in March. I am on my third necklace with his ashes. I don't like gold and I bought .925 silver this last time, it still tarnishes quickly and then just looks bad no matter how much I try an polish it. I've tried three different silver polishes. I think it is my skin oils ... anyway, this product is the answer! I hope I can use it weekly to keep it looking shiny. thank you so much for this video.
Sorry for your loss. I have the same problem and found that if I brush a thin coat of a good clear nail polish it stays shiny longer. Then I just take it off with a mild polish remover.
I went to go buy the product and their customer service was horrendous. I never got an order confirmation email. I tried emailing and no response. When I called I was told customer service was “too busy” to address my concern, which would have taken all of five minutes. The product I’m sure works and would be perfect for what I need, but I was very disappointed in the way they treat their customers. Is there any other company that makes somethjng similar?
Hello! I’m so sorry you had that happen. I’m not affiliated with them and every time I’ve ordered it has arrived. As with many companies they are short handed,it’s no excuse but it’s the truth. I don’t know we’re you can find it sorry. Maybe call them again or just do some internet search. I know this doesn’t help much but that is all I know. Thank you! Julia
So if you test it does it test positive for gold because I’m curious I really don’t care it’s just to make my guns look cool I was gonna go with titanium nitride or the electric ⚡️ playing method but this seems more convenient
Hi! JordyQ, I am not sure. I would think that it would test positive for gold however it may be Inconsistent. The company may be able to help with more info. I have been wanting to try a kit from Coswell plug-n-plate gold it’s like $90 but may be worth it. If I get some extra money I will buy to test and do a video. Thank you! Julia
There kit came with a cleaner/ polish that adds a protective coat but I think it will depend on the area you live etc. moisture in the air. I would polish and seal it. Hope that helps.

If you want the exact composition you would need to call the manufacturer. The silver is micro particles of silver but what % I do not know. Thank you! Julia
Hi! So this method isn’t a long lasting process and definitely not intended to be. It uses micro particles that with heat and the little metal plate it attracts them to your metal item. But electroplating is much more in depth requiring special liquids with large amounts of various metal content a low voltage charge. But will yield a stronger, longer and richer coating. The process of Electroplating is how most costume jewelry etc are made to begin with. Hope this helps. It’s not my specialty. I look for products that work with mixed media art. DIY projects.
Hello! It is a polish but if your item is already shiny then the coating will be. Depending on your kit and how you apply. You can call the company to see if they have more recommendations. Thank you! J
Hey there! I have a lighting fixture that has silver components to it that i wish I can make gold. The components themselves aren’t incredibly large but larger than typical jewelry of course. I have two questions- first do you think that as long as I find a container large enough to microwave/fit the components and I can still “swirl” it in the solution, do you think it can work and make it gold? And secondly, how long do you believe this method will work to keep it gold? Wonderful video!!
Hi! I did a larger piece no problem . I just put the solution in the microwave safe dish heated it then you put the little n]metal dick in and then your piece and swirl till you get it coated. Just remember to always remove the metal disk when heating in the microwave. What I can’t say is how much coating you will need. It may be only one or two bottles. As far as the time it lasts your not wearing it so it should last a long time. You could call the company to ask. Please let them know we’re you saw the video. Thank you and good luck. J

Will this work well on costume jewelry that has faded ?
Hello! Yes it does. I would recommend that if the piece is chipping or peeling that you clean it well first.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Where can i find this product, please?
Hi! Here is a link you will need to look at individual products but they are all there. Hope this helps. sciencesolutionsllc.com/product/4-pc-liquid-silver-plating-and-polishing-kit/
Hi what is the kit called also whats the solution called thanks
The link is below. Thank you
I’m curious if you want to make your jewelry gold again but it has CZ Diamonds in it will it mess up the CZ diamonds ? 🤔
Caleb Mitchell Hello, no it will not hurt them.
I wonder what kind of thermometer to use for the liquid. 5/12/23
You don’t need a thermometer but if you want to really know then I would get a digital thermometer gun they are cheaper now and easy to use just point and press the button and it reads temperature no need to stick anything in the liquid. Hope this helps.
I am going to try this kit on my silver rings
Share with us when you do! Thank you

Can I use it stainless steel?
@@NadineJanvier I will test and let you know.
Hi! I am wondering if this will work on designer buttons? I removed the shank on the back and it is metal underneath so now there’s some silver showing but I want the whole back to be gold. Can I brush this solution on? Instead of dipping the whole thing in the solution?
Hello! Yes but it cannot be brushed it is the agitation in the the container that helps with coating. You can contact the company for more precise details if needed.
I Bought It t But I Didn’t Receice My Tracking Number Or Anything Yet ? Do You Know How I Contact Them ?
Yes from the Link I have under the video. Science Solutions. They have several products and there office is in Illinois. I am not sponsored by them so you would need to contact them .
got the brand,,,,Medallion gold plating is the best product?
Hum… I tried it but everything g I put into it looked brassy/rust color. Am I doing it wrong or is my product defective? Anyone with same issue? Thanks!
Hi! I would need to see pictures , that doesn’t sound like the same product. If you purchased it from Science Solutions you should definitely call them and they can help or even get you your money back. I am not affiliated with them but I never had that happen. You definitely can’t leave the item in it for a long time and you need to rinse it. Hope this helps.
Buh where can i buy some from please
@@YaaBekoe Hi! The company link is in the description. I’m not affiliated but I do know it’s in the US . Thank you! Julia
@ArtfulElements thank you buh my question is I'm not in the US buh in Ghana so is there a way I can purchase some or there is no way I can
Wow I really don’t know if they ship outside US . But I recommend you sending them an email or check the website to see if they can. Sorry I don’t have more info. ❤️
@ArtfulElements thank you so much
Can a ring with stones be put in with out hurting stones?

Can I turn a gold bracelet into silver?
Hi! I would like to say yes but I have never tried putting the silver onto real gold. You would need to call the company or buy and test. Sorry hope that helps. J
Is this gold plating hypoallergenic if done on sterling silver?
It is real 24kt gold but I would contact the company.
I'd like to buy this. I'm in the UK but can't find it. Any recommendations?
Hi! I don’t know if you can call the company and ask if they have a supplier where you live. I know others have gotten from your area but not sure how. Sorry I’m not much help.
I'd like to cleawn up/replate some Trifari constume jewelry - what do you think would work best?
It depends on the condition of the items. If just fading and not peeling then this product should work it won’t effect gem stones.
what iz the name of the products wherd i can buy it?it will work g
for the bags that is fading?
Have fun!
@@ArtfulElements thank you! Will give it a try when it arrives! God bless
Does it work on pendants with cz stones??
lol forget I see you’re using a piece with stones nd it’s still good so thanks for the video
Hi! Yes it does.
What about rose gold?
Not sure about that. Contact the company or if you’re really wanting to do plating pepetools.com has a wonderful pen plating system. Thank you! Julia
this work on silver plated items?
Hi! Yes it does. Thank you! J
Will this keep brass rings from turning your finger green?
Love your videos! Is there a way to put Sterling Silver onto Polymer Clay Jewelry? I would SO appreciate your help! Brenda
Hello!
Town maharlka up floor how much make fix pay?
I can’t understand your question it doesn’t read right. Sorry
this still can be fade?
My husband passed away in March. I am on my third necklace with his ashes. I don't like gold and I bought .925 silver this last time, it still tarnishes quickly and then just looks bad no matter how much I try an polish it. I've tried three different silver polishes. I think it is my skin oils ... anyway, this product is the answer! I hope I can use it weekly to keep it looking shiny. thank you so much for this video.
Sorry for your loss. I have the same problem and found that if I brush a thin coat of a good clear nail polish it stays shiny longer. Then I just take it off with a mild polish remover.
Maybe I missed it but what is the website I tried to locate science solution no avail
Hi! It’s in the description below . There is a link. I’m not affiliated with them but they can help you if needed. Thank you! J
Thank you! Julia
Hi. May i know the name of the product? Cant find it anywhere...
The Link is below. Thank you.
I bought this and I worked 'ok' on one ankle chain. After that, it never worked on additional items. Excellent idea...but not good enough.
Hi! So sorry to hear that. I would contact the company and get a refund. I’ve used mine for several pieces. Thank you! J
Is it necessary to have the round silver plate in the bottom of the cup? Can I do it without?
Yes it acts as a charging plate. You could sure try won’t hurt. If it doesn’t work you can always put the plate in it.
Hello Julia, I just sent this video to the company and let them know I'm purchasing because of it. Question? does this fade? thanks so much
It can wear off if handled or cleaned a lot.
Thank you! That is very kind.
Hi...i loved your video!! I would like to order product. Website doesn't allow shipping to Canada? Can you tell me how i can get this?

Thank you for loving the video.
Name (brand) on the silver plate solution please

Does this silver plate tarnish easily?
There kit came with a cleaner/ polish that adds a protective coat but I think it will depend on the area you live etc. moisture in the air. I would polish and seal it. Hope that helps.

What is the silver plating? Swellegent?
If you want the exact composition you would need to call the manufacturer. The silver is micro particles of silver but what % I do not know. Thank you! Julia
how long is shipping
Don’t know it’s not my product. I’m not affiliated with them. My order came in about a week in the USA.
What is the difference between this method and electroplating?
Can it be polished afterwards to achieve a mirror shine?
Hello! It is a polish but if your item is already shiny then the coating will be. Depending on your kit and how you apply. You can call the company to see if they have more recommendations. Thank you! J
Drop the link of this product
What are you talking about?
Will the silver solution fade over time ?
Yes as it is just a coating. You can contact the manufacturer if you need more information. Thank you! J
Can yo use it on jewelry that was gold but now tarnished
Haitian1130 as long as it has a metal silver colored base material then yes.
Gold doesn't tarnish. You may have brass.
Haitian1130 I think you are referring to gold plated items.
The Juliart I am. Please forgive my ignorance
worddunlap I guess. I was referring to the color. Thank you.
Nice video thank you, may I ask where to buy the chemicals and the silver jewelry
There are multiple places. Just search online to find the best deal. I don’t know about jewelry I just used old costume jewelry to coat and metal pieces from hobby lobby. I purchased some product from HSN.
I have a gold-filled pendant with scratches. Can it cover the scratch once plated?
If the scratches are deep then no. If they are like rubbed or faint then yes.
The Juliart thanks :) I will give it a try
Thanks for demoing this product. I'm going to buy it to repair a very important piece of serveware. Thank you again.
Thank you! Stephanie
welll I thought one needed electricity to transfer silver or gold to another metal piece. Many congratulations to you!
You still do for long term and quality. But this does do good for crafting and items that are not worn everyday.
has this lasted ? and do you believe them when they say it's real liquid gold/silver ?
I can only find the silver on Amazon, not the gold.
Yes the gold is directly from the company.
Do you know if it works in stainless steel jewelry? Thank you ♥️
Hello! Yes it does.
@@ArtfulElements thank you ♥️
Very welcome!
Question: I purchased the kit from Science Solutions online on February 25. Do you know if this is a reputable company? I received an email that my order was recorded, but nothing since that time and when I called the number on the site a week ago to check the status, the person who answered said they couldn’t check because of the system being down and would call me back when it was back up but I haven’t received a call back.
Hi! Science solutions is the company of the Inventor. So yes it is accurate. I would call again they are usually very good about getting product out and you should have already received it I believe. I don’t work for them but do buy from them so please contact again. Please let me know what you find out. Thank you! Julia
I've been having a similar issue, it's been almost 2 months with not much follow up. Did you eventually receive your order?
@@ready4spaghetti64 please call the company. I’m not affiliated with them so I can’t look up orders. I do know that if you didn’t buy from this company that is owned by the Inventor, you for sure could have a problem. But if you purchased from this company call them and they can help. Thank you!
How much solution to use at one time?
Only need to make sure it covers your item then if you are coating and it stops coating then add more to replenish the gold particles. Hope this helps. Thank you
Great video ❤
