How To Stop Discord Displaying Your Games and Activity Status
How to STOP Discord giving away your personal information and activity online.
Discord has a handy feature that lets other server members (and random people) know what you are doing on your PC, what apps you are running what games you are playing and when.
This can be quite handy to see if a buddy is alone and playing your favourite game, but it also has a slightly more sinister side and a lot of people are just fed up with being monitored or tracked all the time.
There are three ways or modes that Discord tracks your activities and broadcasts them.
Individually on your Own Discord Server
On a Server by Server basis
And a global setting
In this video we will show you where the settings are and what they do.
Hopefully it might reassure some people and maybe prevent some blushes or arguments.

I certainly had to disable that direct messages option in 2020. I was a a part of stock discords during the huge miners/scalpers craze of buying up gpu's and other pc parts. I got soo many bots and crytpo nonsense offer messages lol.

Very useful, didn't realize there was a "join activity" feature, turned that off but left the regular activity status on. I don't do self promo when I "strim," so my only way is through my Discord status. thanks mike
