WAMI TV AND USA STATION BRANDING

These were the promo ID's we commissioned Hothaus Design to produce for our USA Broadcasting Stations in Miami (WAMI), Dallas/Ft Worth (KSTR), Atlanta (WHOT), Boston (WHUB), and New York (WORX). The "City Is Our Studio" look launched in November 1999 in Atlanta and Dallas. WAMI followed in March, 2000 and Boston in August 2000. The New York Station, WORX, was weeks away from launching when the entire group was sold to Univision and converted to the Telefutura Network

I remember WHUB in Boston very well. On the MBTA, every subway car had the WHUB on there with some of the shows coming to Boston. The station didn't have that much content to air and at the end turned into a Shop-at-Home Channel.

Ahhh, brings back memories to when the Dallas/Fort Worth area had K-Star 49.
I do remember seeing the K-Star 49 variants of the "Hub 66 Tour Bus" and the "Hotlanta 34 Airport" bumper clips.

The CityVision network would never launch in New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles. The network began operations in Miami in the early summer of 1998.

I live in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and I didn't see a USA Broadcasting Station in El Paso, Texas, USA, but I viewed the TeleFutura (now UniMás) in KTFN-TV Channel 65. And I feel that I miss the USA Broadcasting stations.
