What's that exhaust at 0:56? It looks like the Mountune exhaust from the MK7 ST (which I have on mine) - will something similar be available for the MK8?
When will you release the long awaited replacement kit for the MR265 Fiesta ST MK7?
Do you do anything for 1.6l focus? I love Ford's and @mountune.
For all those looking only at the numbers between mountune software and the competition, sometimes, real world testing speaks louder than any given numbers.
I have tested mountune (full mountune setup both in software and in hardware) against the competition here in Greece with both the MK6 Fiesta ST and the MK7 ST and the competition was always behind (road test and Vbox), although they always claimed 20-30hp higher than me. FYI, the Revo ST was behind the Peron ST from testing between them and they both claim numbers higher than mountune.
Also, Im not advertising mountune, Im just sharing my experience/results from mountune from both the STs I've owned.

Groaznic yes it will still work fine for the mk8 ST without the performance pack, just no launch control.

It will do, I just don’t think you will get their peak figures as mountune usually quote to get ‘peak performance’. But it’s probably only a few horsepower less, using the map without the induction kit won’t harm the car at all, the induction it just allows more air to go into the engine to reach that peak performance. 👍🏼
Been waiting for this to come out, and I’m underwhelmed. Been looking at competitors offerings, looks like I’ll be going revo instead
HearthJunkie I got the Revo map two weeks ago and I'm amazed at how good it is. Last night I went out and just kept driving because it was so much fun! Plus the Mountune map is very expensive in comparison.
Don’t forget you’re paying for software vs software, plus a Bluetooth interface, plus the development cost of the app to give you functionality to be able to change calibrations and apply updates from your phone. That’s convenience, regardless of who your preferred tuner is. So looking at the light version of the m225 at £575 inc. VAT versus £597.60 (£399 + £99 plus VAT) if you want the ability to switch, or update calibrations without having to go back to your dealer (like-for-like functionality - although m225 also includes an improved launch strategy), then it’s actually cheaper!
The power claims are certainly big, but we’ll be sharing some real-world ‘tests’ of our own on that... watch this space!
mountune the app is absolutely meaningless to me, revo come with an sps switch for 3 modes 95ron, 99ron and anti theft mode which I bet would be similar to you guys. And wouldn’t need to go back to the dealer. As for the power the revo software has already been dyno’d you can find it on TH-cam. And since you guys now void the ford warranty which was the reason I had the mp215 kit on my mk7 then your going to find a lot of people go to other companies who are offering far more power
How reliable are them other tunes tho,I wouldn't just pick the most powerful tune and think it's the best,Im leaning more towards the mountune because the power figures are lower,I'm thinking it's gona be more reliable than the others.

Thorakable - absolutely, you can just order the light version of the m225 (minus induction kit) and install the upgrade yourself in a few minutes. Hope that helps.

@@mountuneofficial hi there, if I buy just the smartflash without induction kit do I still get a mountune badge or does that only come with the induction kit? Also if you lose the smartflash obd port dongle can you order a replacement?
@@SilverTrill Yes, a badge comes with both versions of the kit. We've never had a customer loser the OBD adaptor, but it would be possible to get another one.

I assume going by the fact this isn't an mP225 upgrade it's not warrantied by Ford? A shame if that's the case, are Mountune still working with Ford for a warranty friendly version?

This is not a Ford-endorsed kit and we don't believe there will be one for Fiesta ST.
Is that a rear spoiler extension I can see? If so where can I get one??
IBurnInTheSun i bought mine from Maxton Design. They have a lot of splitters/spoiler extentions etc. for Ford (pretty much for every car brand).
Will it still run safely on 95 Ron unleaded petrol?
Lyndsay Murrant yes, it runs perfectly fine on 95RON as all the factory knock control and adaptions have been left as they should be.

Not sure about the Mk8 ST line 140 but the previous mk7 140 had the M165 upgrade for just over £1000, that would be a good difference.
I got the MP215 upgrade for the Mk7 ST and although its only 15bhp extra and 30Nm it feels a lot more and is very noticeable.
Go for it mate you will love it.
Love the idea you can reinstall at any time, but it's a lot of money for very little gain. My Revo map installed 2 weeks ago is pretty impressive with figures over 250bhp. Plus no need to upgrade the airbox.

mountune I don't doubt your product is top notch, and yes I would like the ability to update the software without going to a dealer, but feel Revo might have pushed the limits a bit more with their software.

what about the reliability of that little engine?
We’ve been running our m235, m260 (and beyond) for years now without any issues with our own development vehicles and engines, nor have there been any customer reported issues - and there are thousands of conversions out there, so you’re in safe hands with us.
Unwise to do any mod to my ST whilst still in Ford warranty. Will do this when it expires though 👊
Mountune is ford approved
Unfortunetly it is not under warranty for the MK8, think Ford wanted too much money, thus would have driven the price of the car through the roof 🙄.

Yes it will void your warranty, all aftermarket upgrades will void warranty for the mk8 ST which is disappointing as the previous stage 1 MP215 upgrade for the mk7 was Ford warranty approved. I will probably go for the m235 after a year or so anyway when i get the mk8

Keith Hedley the 215 definitely does make a good difference over stock its brilliant, i’ve had the 215 for 2 years now and the car has never skipped a beat. Love it.
You should prove on video those acceleration times with Racelogic or VBOX though before selling this...
We use a VBOX for our figuring.

It's a shame that you have falsely marketed the enhanced exhaust audio with the car at different stages of development.
The car at 00:20 has a stock exhaust and then the car at 00:57 has clearly had further upgrades, including an exhaust that is not stock and not yet available on the market. So the car has been made to seem much louder than it really is with the stock exhaust...
BJJohnstone we capture content at various stages of development and have promoted the fact a performance exhaust is on the way... the sound on this video has been recorded with the standard exhaust, which plenty of owners have now been sharing clips of and commenting about themselves, the exhaust audible performance is noticeably different to OE, with their vehicle otherwise standard other than m225.
No warranty no thanks.
