Cam Myers would have won this race if he'd have made a go at the outside, but it's so difficult to not try for the inside if you see it open. I know he can go faster than his tine given he could've won this race. Very excited to see his future

I was looking for the results on the screen but... nothing. So, if Cameron Myers was just off the WR for a 17 year old, what is that record? How close was he? Who holds it? It's never mentioned. Plus, what were the results for the other runners in the race? What about the other 17 year old. What time did he run? Etc. You get my drift re time results. Cheers.
@timn4481 because you're whining on a website that issues videos you want to watch. If you don't like the title don't use the website. If the author thought that would hinder the reach and thus payments do you think they would do it? No they wouldn't. It's 2024, grow up.
McSweyn has a unique running style. He barely flexes at the hip. All his action is in the lower legs, which gives him a very high stride rate. Wightman has a more classic style, but he looks like he's lumbering by comparison with McSweyn.
Really? I find him annoying. He's just a gimmick now I feel. No real sporting experience, so never adds any point of view. Just reads stats. Just one of those nerds who can't play anything but thinks he knows all about it.
@@timn4481 I'd rather someone who has actually been in those shoes as an athlete, also with stats knowledge, calls the races. Anyone can remember stats
Interesting Race over the historic and classic mile ( 1,760 Yards ) but a little disappointing that Two ( 2 ) pacemakers were apparently required, Masato Yokota to the 880 Yard mark and Connor Whitely to the 1,000 yard mark but pleased for Stewart McSweyn who seems to be getting back to his more usual self after enduring serious health problems, although I did feel that Stewart did seem to lose stride just before the tape, sort of locked up momentarily it seemed to me. Jake Wightman will, of course, only get better as he has been off the scene for so long with injury. The commentary not my cup of tea though, comments across the commentator from a 2nd Party are just not on in book. The Commentator alone must be entirely focussed on The Race and he must stir the crowd up, like the Commentators for Horse Races or even Greyhound Races do.

Cam Myers still progressing at the rate Jakob did
Delighted for McSweyn, he had done all the hard work so I'm glad that he held on. Jake Wightman is some athlete, nothing wrong with a 3.52 mile.
Good race. Good to see Jake Wightman back after his injury woes. It’ll be an interesting season ahead, real quality in 1500/mile these days.
Great to see Wightman back to form after a long period of injury absence. McSweyn was a beast to fight him off for the win!
Fantastic race. Well done to the two Aussie lads. Looking good for 2024 for both lads

I was thinking the same. Gambled on the inside and the gap closed
He looked the most comfortable in the straight till he took a check and dropped back a m. Yes could have one. Has lots left. Here’s hoping.

He ran into Stewart's spikes. Ouch. Hell be 4 seconds faster than Stew in a year and will avoid taking blocked paths.

Great to see serious competition in Australia which can only help all the Australian athletes
Bit of a kick in the guts to Jye Edwards, past Australian champ, olympian and 3.49 miler not to get a star athlete call up by the announcer.
I think if you call one you should call them ALL! All stars to get there. I was stunned to see 8 or so athletes left 😢

Reasonable time for early in the Olympic year, still a long way to go to reach that final.
At 17! That's crazy!
Good race by Wightman considering he has been out for almost a year
Stewie baby go-go-go. GREAT race! Go get'em. This year will be WILD. We have the deepest/best 1500/mile field of all time.
