Thom Bell was a gifted and talented writer. Loved those classic songs he wrote for the Stylistics. Some of my other favorite songs he wrote and or produced were:
La La Means I Love You,
    Backstabbers, Rubberband Man,
Old Friend, and many many more. Didn't know he wrote I Don't Have The Heart, a favorite cut that James Ingram sang. It's hard to say who was the best writer and producer of Philadelphia Soul. Why? Thom Bell, Linda Creed, Gamble and Huff as well as others each brought their own flavor and style. They helped create the now classic music which came to known as "The Sound of Philadelphia."
