    I've been making anthotypes with turmeric (on pastel paper that I didn't like for pastels), the toned paper makes for some interesting effects. When I clear some bench space, I will have to try adding encaustic.

      Yes ! Encaustic would be perfect for anthotypes as well Jirup and I hope you love what encaustic can do to add depth to the prints. I have not used pastel paper a lot so I am not sure of the surface , but one tip to note is that encaustic does best on a porous surface that will absorb the wax into it. They sound beautiful have fun :)

    I’m just about to do my first cyanotype and now want to do encaustic due to your inspiring vid. I’m going to find out about that sheet you put down first onto the print.

    Thank you for the lovely video. What brown looking color you use on the cyanotopia before applying the wax? Thanks!

    late to finding this but just wanted to say I LOVE these. just curious where / when you introduced the yellows and golds to the pieces or how that worked with your cyanotype?

    Beautiful! Could you tell me what you used to buff and add shine. I have tried in the past but it seems to scratch the surface.

    Beautiful work! How did you get the round-ish patterns on the Fariano sample? Did you expose through bubbles at some point?

    En fait on ne comprends pas bien le procédé pour l'encaustique... Quel est le matériel utilisé et qu'elle cire faut-t-il se procurer ? Y a t-il une marque ?
    Merci pour plus d'explications !

  • @sabinesmith5447

    I know this post is from a while ago but I have a few questions. What did you use to adhere the cyanotype to the panel? Your encaustic looks liquid but it comes as pellets? As a novice, I don't understand how it becomes the liquid that you paint overtop. Can you explain please? Thanks!

      I finally was able to pause the video at that point and it was PH Neutral PVA glue that she used to adhere the paper

    can I ask please? do cyanotypes fade over time?

    • @hootubs
      @hootubs 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      they can fade, but weird as it sounds, all you need to do is put them in the dark for a while and they come back!
