As mentioned, woodruff keys don't just break from old age. You should be checking crankshaft end play with a dial indicator. Most likely need a new crank.
My 98 crm250 been sat 6 months, out playing one day stopped for a rest. Would not start, been messing with carb ecu spark etc no joy. Guess I'll be doing this after tea!! Hope it's the fault. Cheers pal.
man i have a 93 cr125 rebuilt ran beautiful started right up first kick when i was riding i was comfy all the suddin it starts makin a huge pop an dies then i try to start it it starts pops an dies an smoke comes from my exhaust port on the head but cant fix it would it be that

Someone put the flywheel on wrong! If you don’t time it correctly it will do that

Looks like a kx frame tho. May have just put blue plastics on it
