lost four key fish in a tournament on them screw heads before lunch. ripped off the screw& just rigged em- won the tournament with over 19 pounds. That gamagatsu head looks like the deal- I'll have to pick up a few paks.
I hate the screw on heads as well. Try the new SMH Zman head B-Lat came out with. It's for elaztech but it holds EVERYTHING and comes through everything as well!!! My new favorite head for Shakey heads
Thanks for covering this bait. Definitely works. I run the hook point all the way through then back it up and let it sit in the channel it made. Works for me. Great video and info.
Randy, when you discuss how to rig the hook point, I was expecting you to skin hook the "side" of the worm (like you do with so many other worm rigs), so I'm curious as to why you didn't on the shaky rig. Would you mind sharing why you still pierce the middle of the worm on this set-up? Thanks!
My buddy invited me to go to orange lake here in central Florida. I normally saltwater fish but this weekend I'll be bass fishing in a kayak so hopefully you're tip will help hook a brother up this weekend. Thanks Randy!
Been fishing near my entire 40 years on this earth and havent ever really committed a lot of time to Shaky Heads. I dont know why, just not one of those "confidence baits" we always seem to be drawn to on though days. Thanks for the tips, I'll start focusing on using these more!
The ⅛oz Charlie Brewer Spider Slider head is the only head I'll ever use. With a Zoom finesse worm, here on the Lower Coosa River, I've had 300 bites in a single day with it and have even caught over a hundred a couple of times. It's all about that DIAGONAL FALL; I never want to feel bottom.
"Oh my head, My shaky shaky head" Why does a Billy Ray Cirus song pop in my head every time I see shaky head...LOL. I love site fishing with shaky heads. Pitch a few feet past the bed, drag it in and start to shaking........Good call Randy. More good stuuf friend.
On lakes with alot of standing timber, an 8-10" Bull Worm on a magnum shakey head...you're welcome! Gotta get me some of those shaky heads Randy suggested..like the looks of it
If yall are in a grassy body of water the SMH heads by zman are the best No screw lock made for grass Brain Lattimore designed them and they are the best I've used for a grassy body of water I'm in Texas so most of the water I fish is grassy those SMH heads cut right through it
You don't want to feel bottom! That's the whole point! You'll get more bites and catch more fish (on the FALL), if you get away from that 'gotta feel bottom' mentality. It's all about that FALL!!!
Thanks, Randy, I ordered a couple of packs through your TW affiliate link; appreciate the content, as always. Every tried rigging a mosquito stinger hook toward the end of your trick worm on the shaky head set-up? If so, any success?
My first entry was denied for edited pic. Caught a good size one last night on a spinnerbait, 17.50. And denied because I edited in the tournament number.
I’m just curious. So many anglers prefer their plastic worms straight etc. What if you present a crooked worm? Like I don’t see how it can be wrong too. Just some to think about.
@@andybales7318 Idk how you can tangle your line with your lure. It’s 1 hook, not a treble. I’m just saying if you present it a bit different maybe it’ll attract more bites than some may think. Just look at it from a Texas rig way and a wacky rig way. Somebody came up with it and it’s been killing it ever since. Just saying.
Could add a small barrel swivel, if u really wanted to try it out...u are correct, it could show the fish something different..But, 100% will twist your line
Its sad how you had to say "used to be won on a shakey head" guys out there on the water looking like ostriches with their heads stuck down in that screen lol. Also a shakey head with a trick worm is my all time fave bait to use i use the buckeye shakey head the push on head not the screw

David Dudley's Perfection Shakey head is the best! It consistently stands up all the time giving you that trigger bite.
The Dudley Wacky worm is the very best wacky worm I've ever seen. Those bulbous ends make it shimmy so well. Sungill is the deal!
I use the zoom magnum finesse green pumpkin 95% of the time. I really like the Berkeley Fusion shakey head
I have a stupid question. Why wouldn’t a Texas rigged Trick Worm work just as good? Is there really that much difference between the 2 rigs?
more action with the worm less hence the name “shakey” head
Thanks Randy. Ive been fishing the finesse worm for many years. My go to bait in the spring and any time the bite is tough. Great technique.
Great video randy as always! Thank you!

I'll have to give those a try. Have never had a problem with the screw lock but always looking for new things

blauket gives out all the secrets
Thanks Randy! Very timely snd informative. I have some of those football screw heads. I’ll try these.

Thank you! I enjoyed it. Love me some shaky head action.
Never had any luck with a shaky head. Maybe it's time for another try with the fish bedding.
I am gonna lose 5 a day in the rocks anyway....I might as well try this style😅
Great video, thanks Randy!
Randy, awesome tackle/shop/gym/garage!
My nick name is Shakey Dave in my fishing club…love me some shakey head fishing.
Great info as always!
snowin' today: 60's next week. Yeah, gonna be worm time soon!
Put a half toothpick in the tail to help it float

Good video!: but when i throw 1/16 oz on my Shaky head setup, I can't feel bottom when I fish more than 5 ft deep

i really need to use a shakey head more. i dont any faith in them yet.

If it's not straight, could lead to your line being twisted

@@b.l4365 a crooked bait like a worm will spin while working the bait, causing your line to twist..on a spinning reel, that's a BAD thing
@@andybales7318 I’ll try it out and get back to you 😂 I’m sure I can get bites on one.

I dont have good luck with the texposed rigging....i have much better luck with the hook point buried...i use 8 pound suffix promix line
I think all spotlighters should be sponsored by Viagara.......
