  • The all new Nissan Qashqai - built in Britain.
    Arguably the best SUV in the UK, and now there is now only one powertrain available - a turbo charged petrol engine with a 12v mild hybrid system.
    You're spoilt for choice when it comes to grades though, with six grades on offer inc ours the Tekna.
    This is a fun SUV with a lovely sporty box, now offering better economy, emissions and a price to suit.

    Great car. Thanks for the vlog.
    Hired this with Enterprise so good it was the Automatic. Unfortunately it has spoilt me and drawn me towards Hybrids. So good. Thanks again guys

    My wife is disabled and takes advantage of the Motability scheme. This will be our new car in late November/early December, it will also be our 4th Qashqai. We will have the auto gearbox as it's much easy for my wife as she has osteoarthritis. Has anything changed for 2023 models do you know? Loved the review, a straightforward no nonsense approach and said as you found it. In fact, I enjoyed so much you have a new sub! Thanks for your views, Nissan of course give it the sales pitch, so it's always nice to have an unbiased opinion such as this.

      Thank you for the kind words Wayne, we’ll double check with Nissan especially for things that could affect mobility.

    Great review Guys! Have to admit the new Qashqai is a great looking car especially in this shade of blue! We have a a new one in the street in the primer grey colour and it's a great looking car. I think Nissan have another winner on their hands with this, it's reinvented the qashqai all over again.

      Thank you Davy, yes we were thoroughly impressed, and we think you’re spot on with reinventing.

    I like the way Nissan are going with their styling, and the interiors now, are a different league.
    I found the Nissans I drove in the past, felt cheap and plastically (this also goes for the Infiniti brand), so its good to see them sorting them issues out. Will they bring out a sporty version?
    cheers.

    I really love QQs. Nissans in general. I’ve owned four. 2 Jukes. 2 QQs. I’ve owned the prior version QQ Tekna+ in Vivd Blue. But I have to say. I preferred the prior versions looks. There’s something about this one, the headlight set-up and rear hunch quarter, that just cannot sit well with me. But overall it is a lovely car. And I’m considering it. I’m in a Ford Puma now. And after five months. Downsizing was the worst decision I ever made. Despite loving the Pumas driving dynamic. Going back to NIssan.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Interesting, the majority prefer the newer looks, especially with Juke, they are really great vehicles, we know a few who have done similar and invariably had to upsize. We’ve not driven the Puma, however we have driven similar size VWG models and the agility and driving experience is far more dynamic especially for an SUV, enjoy your new Nissan and thank you.

    It is a 1300 4-cylinder 16-valve engine. I think you said it was a 3 cylinder. I think you were referring to the new E power. That is a 1500 3-cylinder engine, to power the electric drivetrain. Sorry to be such a nerd.

    Maybe revisit your review. My Nissan dealer says the manual gearbox version DOES charge the (tiny) battery on deceleration - providing in gear (not in braking neutral). That's where CVT version is more efficient as essentially always in gear). Shame no full hybrid equivalent of new Juke (instead of inefficient e-Power implementation).

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Nissan video explaining MHEV says differently it lists automatic for all features - they may have uprated it, after all this is 2 years old and it had been released a while when we received it. PS why would anyone in their right mind brake in a manual whilst in neutral, ludicrous.

    • @osm6435
      @osm6435 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Meant braking on clutch i.e. gear disengaged, not neutral. Will have to check with another dealer. If only charged battery off engine, then wouldn't see much fuel saving. Only 4g CO2 saving & 6Nm extra torque on MHEV.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh that makes more sense, keep us posted, if I remember correctly it said about the auto in the UK press pack referring hybridity.

    Hi! I ask. Which is best 2WD or the 4WD Nissan Tekna?

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question, the 2WD is impressive, the 4 not driven it yet, apologies Al, however the Navara has a good off-road system and capabilities.
