Really nice to see the younger generation enjoying physical media. Actually owning media seems to have been lost to many these days. I started collecting movies years before the internet even existed, back in the VHS days.
Please don't feel pressure to "catch up" to other collectors, just enjoy the movies you like.

Nice little haul there. Some good stuff. My own haul was smaller than I usually do because I had to throw some love to Kino Lorber for their Spring Into Summer Sale running concurrently with the B&N Criterion Sale. But I did get the blu ray of The Underground Railroad, and then the 4Ks for Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, The Roaring Twenties, Perfect Days, Risky Business, Wings of Desire, Lone Star, Blue Velvet, and La Haine.

I agree that Bound 4K is hot, and that Blue Velvet 4K would also be a very good investment.

Nice pickups! So far I've picked up Cure and Symbiopsychotaxiplasm.
Definitely plan on getting Bound, The Funeral, and La Llorona before the sale ends.
I picked up The Heiress, Haxan, Gate of Hell, and The Naked Island. I've watched most of them and enjoyed what I watched.

I'd never really looked into criterion releases because they're pretty costly for what I considered to be "bare boned" but I had no idea they came with booklets like that! I'm intrigued now!
Yeah man the special features are great too. I love the interviews on them. Sometimes they are exclusive to the release. I really recommend them during the sale especially.
Great haul!.... I love criterian , I watched the Deep Cover disc the other day... it was fantastic !

There's a BN right up the block from my job and I'm planning to pick up at least one new movie after every shift all month. Already got Malcolm X, Do the Right Thing, The Virgin Suicides, The Princess Bride, and To Die For all just this week

@@wondermeg Next week I'm starting in on some boxsets. Had my eye on the Three Colors and Showa-era Godzilla sets for a while
@@DreazyBKBoth of those sets are fantastic. Especially Three Colors. The Godzilla set, while I love it, could have been better had TOHO given access to the better scans of the films. But it is still an absolute winner for Godzilla fans. (That oversized book design, though. Ugh! Not the best for shelving continuity.)

@@DreazyBKI got around it (because it looks ridiculous with one super giant book amidst the cases) by ordering some empty double cases from Criterion and some homemade faux Criterion covers from a guy on Etsy who made 4 of them. The book is just on display with my Godzilla figures and posters and my movie shelf is more properly aligned. 🙂
Loved Frances Ha, really reminded me of Manhattan, but its not a rip off, it really is its own thing, great soundtrack and beautiful visuals. Greta Gerwig is such a fun character in this, she kind of sends herself up a bit

I wanted to inform you that I've thought of this scenario I think you will like that involves either ring match or cage fight between Batman and Wonder Woman which takes place in front of a large audience. Niiiice, good picks since I did like Bound since it's got an interesting story from the Matrix creators which I like so it's fun seeing what they did before that classic.
