She can do it live, by herself without anyone backing her up, and she does it her own way. If she screamed like every other female metalcore vocalist it would be boring and common. My favorite idustrial/doom trap artists is Mimi Barks, because her vocals and screams are a different flavor and imo you can't mistake her.

There's a version of growl and screamo that is referred as banshee scream, I believe she might be trying to do that but I agree with your comments, she isn't using a real technique and risk to ruin her voice
